Her letting Aiden and Taylor braid her hair, and then her reaching out to Aiden when she was scared of what to do (plus him getting upset by flash backs) she really is becoming so much more comfortable and dependent on them 🥲

erm little Ashlyn rant (very big spoilers if ur not caught up with sbg)

I don’t think we talk enough about how much Ashlyn has grown and gotten more comfortable in the group. She was vulnerable before they got the jeep, even if it was just a little bit. And when Aiden died she immediately ran in to hug him. WHAT?! She has explicitly never done that. That’s something she explicitly HATES doing, but she did it with zero hesitation because she cares for him. When they were separated in the hospital for that little bit, when Logan and Ben found her, she ALSO immediately ran to hug them. Zero hesitation. She did the same when they found Taylor. (Not Tyler for obvious reasons and for some reason not Aiden but the thought still counts.)

and later when the group was finally together again after the whole ‘Ashlyn touching a phantom’ thing, Taylor and Aiden were WRAPPED. AROUND. HER. Sure, she told them to get off, but it just didn’t seem like she hated it like she would in the earlier season/episodes.

and earlier, when they just got to the hospital and Alex was questioning Ashlyn, she immediately asked where her friends were. Word for word, she asked “Where are my friends?” HELLO? She’s never called them her friends before. Maybe she didn’t say it to their face, but she still called them her friends. Also the fact that they were immediately her first priority. Not “where am I?” “Where are my parents”, no, she saved that for later. First, she needed to know her friends were safe.

and I would mention the whole Aiden and Ashlyn talk after they get the jeep but that would get me talking for a WHILE, and this is getting long sooo

I want Jeremy to crash out in a way that nearly hospitalizes himself

Jean deserves to finally be allowed to be angry, to feel the hatred and disgust of everything he has been through, I want him to finally be able to fight for himself

I want Jeremy to stop hiding, to stop pretending everything will just be okay, I want him to be able to feel the sorrow and heartbreak that he is trying so hard to avoid

Let them feel what they are suppressing

You know whats sad to think about, when Andrew was searching the stadium for Neil after the riot, if he had tried calling him and thats how he found his bag/racket/phone, it would have been the ringtone on repeat of the lyrics "runaway train never going back" when he found out neil was kidnapped. I bet that haunted him, he was high when he made that ringtone, as a joke, Neil was a little rabbit always on the run, but he gave him the phone as a way to stay and that option was dropped, left in the dirt and blaring at him that Neil isn't coming back, and then theres kevin in his ear.

"Where is he?"

"Its too late. If his fathers men found him hes dead already."

"Where is he!"

"You were always going to lose him."

I bet it was the first time he ever regretted something. Letting him go. He promised to back down, to let him loose and now he's gone. Those words probably echoed in his head, "I need you to let me go." He had agreed, but never to this, never to him being taken. But Neil wasn't his, there was no 'this', Neil has no ties to Andrew, but he still wanted to tear the world apart to find him because losing him was not an option.

andreil meet cute where andrew is a wizard and has a successful curse business (nonfatal but willing to maim for the right reason/price) and someone random is like "hey i need u to curse this asshole in my statistics class for me bcus we have an exam next week and i cant take another one of his stupid cocky smirks after getting an A" so andrew is like okay sure whatever, ez peasy. except he shows up to the cursee's dorm and it's warded to hell and back? what the fuck what kind of nerd wards their college dorm room against evisceration spells AND disappears only ur left sock spells?

so andrew is obviously Very Intrigued and gives up on his plan to break in and just knocks, except the most gorgeous man he's ever seen answers the door AND he's glaring at andrew like he can kill him with his eyes (which the quality of those wards? yeah maybe he can...). anyway andrew falls in love at first sight, and his first words to neil are "what the fuck is wrong with you"

The panel right before this one, he is off in the back ground and he looks so dark and gloomy. Everyone else is staring ahead but he is looking down.

Everyone is frozen, no one knows what to do and they are in danger. Ashlyn feels responsible for all of this and (I believe) she wants to try to help Ryan, she wants revenge against Jasmine but they need to escape. Everyone is so caught up in the moment, in panic, anger, frustration, so no one moves. Aiden is the crazy one, the lunitic, he doesnt think before he does things (prime example, jumping off the fucking WALL) but when no one was thinking, he stepped up, he made a decision everyone else was unable to make because they had to move. But if he had gone by himself, if he had just walked away, everyone would be concerned "what is this idiot doing" "where is he going, hes going to get himself hurt" but he took Ashlyn with him. He didnt hesitant to pull her along. She trusts him to do so, although she may see him as a moron, she trusts him because yes he is impulsive and reckless but one thing he is not, inconsiderate. She knows this because the pure panic he had when she got taken on the roof, the fear he had when he fought to get her back. He would never put her or the group in danger. She was, in a brief moment, unable to lead them, so he did it for her. The safest thing to do was to run, the only way they all 100% could get out is to run. The infected were coming, the staff had guns and was hunting them, there was no option but running. He was not going to let anyone get hurt again.

This panel makes my brain release the happy chemical. Taylor is so gentle and caring and Logan is just a bebe, I adore them. Some pairings I really want to see more of are these two, Taylor and Aiden and Ben and Tyler. Logan and Taylor are just so loving and adorable, they give me such cozy vibes. Then the choas that would be Taylor and Aiden, she definitely lets him instigate her and rope her into mischief. Ben and Tyler seem like such a chill duo. Ben is pretty relaxed most of the time and I feel like hes not at all intimidated by Tyler's tough guy exterior. These two definitely would sit back and watch the choas of Aiden and Taylor unfold, only bothering to step in if it gets too dangerous.

Im both excited and nervous they are split up. We will probably get more backstory and moments of comfort but also I think the chapters might feel a little slower and I fear it might drag out, 🤷‍♀️

Thinking about Jean looking away. So its cannon that Jeans not great at hiding his emotions on his face so do you think that Jeremy starts to put the peices together. Everytime Jean gets embarrassed, 'hungry' or really just feels any emotion he doesnt know how to handle he looks away. Do you think his mouth twitches? Or maybe a bit of blush in his cheeks, his eyebrows knitting together. Grrr I want Jeremy to see Jean look away in a panic and to finally register as to why, to see that he made him feel something. Oh and what I would give to have him tease him about it like "oh my gosh, is your face actually red?" "Why you hiding?" GAH My Brain!

I know that everyone wants Jeremy to help Jean get over his fear of water. I know cannonically thats what is most likely to happen, however hear my out on my hc's that I think are reasonable.

TGR spoliers big time:

Ten steps back, it has been hinted at that Jeremy might crash his car. I believe that this is completely within reason and I can see it happening in the next book. 1. He has fallen asleep at the wheel more than once. 2. They worried about his constant lack of sleep and how much he has on his plate. 3. The apartment being even further than before 4. He is doing even more than previous years Ex: learning french, studing for LSAT (is that the correct abbreviation?? Law!) And 5. Teaching Jean how to be a whole human being on so many levels. Man's exhusted. So I can definitely see him crashing. Now the severity of this may very, if its late or raining or a million other things to make it worse. My brain is stuck on him flipping over a guard rail, but any type of crash can cause major injury which leads us to where this post is supposed to be. Jeremy crashing the car and everyone going to pick him up from the hospital. Maybe he even is unconscious when they get there and has all these machines, stuff Jean has never seen, he doesnt know what any of this does, he never got real medical help. So of course hes worried, his partner is breathing through a tube. A day or two later they bring him home (after heavy convincing, his mother lets him stay with the girls for the sake of making it to classes on time) Jeremy is benched for at least 5 weeks, concussion, sprains, pulled mucsles, etc. Day three of being out of the hospital and he feels disgusting. Painstakingly making his way to the bathroom to shower, Jean follows him, hovering his hands out in case he stumbles. Jeremy lets him help, leaning on Jean as he hobbles into the bathroom, but Jean doesnt leave when Jeremy turns on the water. A moment of awkward staring at each other, Jean asks if he needs help. Of course Jeremy is embarrassed, a little ashamed and wanting to do it alone out of spite, but Jean insists he could fall, benching himself longer, so he lets him help. Its awkward and neither know where to put their hands, Jeremy tries to wash himself at first, letting Jean keep him steady, but the sore muscles make it hard to clean his hair, so they switch. Jeremy holds at Jeans shoulders as Jean scrubs soap into his scalp. Jean stays as far out of the spray as he can, occasionally wiping the water off his face, but hes focused on helping his partner get better. It doesnt matter that hes scared because Jeremy is hurt and its miserable watching him struggle. Of course some of the fear is stomped out by the adoration and hunger he gets from the way Jeremy closes his eyes and contently hums at how Jean rinses out the soap. How can he be scared when Jeremy is using him as a crutch, tan freckled skin and blonde hair under his hands. The need to help his partner override the fear.

RAH I am so temped to actually write a fanfiction about this because it could be at least 4 chapters. ANYWAY, not sorry for more JereJean posts :D

I was rereading SBG and in chapter 39, Aiden says "you seem like the type of person to only get close to those who are special to you, and I dont know how to go about that" (paraphrased)

This man is literally telling her, TO HER FACE that he wants to be someone special to her. He is so clueless when it comes to emotional interactions and just relationships in general. He doesnt know what it is to truly have a friend, and he seems scared of messing it up. He blames himself for her getting hurt and he admits he was the problem and apologizes. He basically tells her 'I care about you and I want us to be close but I have no idea what Im doing, help me to be someone to you, help me learn how to be someone for you'

AHHHH Im probably reading too much into this but as someone who didnt have friends until I was like 14, I know how easy it is to desperately cling to someone and hope with everything in your heart that they care as much as you do. He definitely seems to be doing that here and it makes my heart hurt 😭
