No no you don't understand! I want to watch this show/movie, read this book, listen to this podcast, etc.! But I must be in the right mindset and the exact head space to begin, or I just can't!
Thank you, Matthew Perry (August 19, 1969 - October 28, 2023)
Reasons I like subtitles:
1. I can see how people’s names and the cities and the countries are spelled.
2. I don’t miss any words, so everything they say makes sense.
3. I get to know what background noises and conversations are.
4. The descriptions of the noises people make are freaking awesome. Ex: splutter, grunt, chuckles.
5. I can see who says what.
6. I don’t have to have the volume super loud so I can hear the dialogue, and I don’t blow my eardrums out because the ambient noises and music is SO FREAKING LOUD.
I freaking love subtitles.
NAHHHHHH NOT THE ASTHMAS NOT ME ALWAYS CRYING OR BEING STRESSED AND JUST *pulls Ventolin out of pocket *SWOOSH *BREATHS COUGHS
mfs be tryna help me when im overwhelmed cuz yknow the autism but gosh darnit the social anxiety kicks in and they say “hey you okay” but golly gee the depression fades into frame then they be saying smth like “take a breather” but oooohhh crud here comes the asthma
Being sick is legitimately sensory hell,, your whole body feels “off” and there’s nothing you can do about it except for wait for it go away.
So y’all don’t have to keep making new ones
how to get rid of the feeling that there is something irreversibly and unforgiveably wrong with you?????????
Ever since I was a child people have asked me 'what's wrong?', 'why do you look so sad?', 'why are you moody?' even when I have been enjoying myself
My facial expressions do not necessarily match-up to my emotions or neurotypical expectations
I might look sad or down but I show and feel my excitement in different ways than you might expect
Just because I'm not smiling from ear to ear doesn't mean that I am being moody or not enjoying myself
I need people to understand that sometimes autism is just this
Autistic pigeon, doesn't read the social coos
