4. A character you rarely talk about?
i feel like i don't talk about ashiri's husband ray a lot... part of this is because he's not particularly fun to talk about on his own, and i cant really talk about his plot relevance without giving spoilers.
where's what i can share: hes an influential member of the harbour boys, a notorious gang run by dockworkers. the war between the lebub crime family and acelle corp has rattled the economics of montross, and as a result the recruitment and hostility of the harbour boys has been up.
32. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why?
kid is actually already written with the intention of making her a horror game protagonist! montross is a place thats really weird and unsettling, but all of its inhabitants are used to it being like that. all of that horror just becomes part of the mundane everyday life for them. kid on the other hand hasn't spent much time in montross at all. in fact she hasn't spent much time in any big city at all since shes used to working on a rural farm.
this makes her trip to montross terrifying because its such an unfamiliar environment: first, because its an urban space, and second, because its haunted and diseased. but she has to keep traversing this place if she wants to find what she needs to find :)
50. Give me the good ol’ OC talk here. Talk about anything you want
i've been trying to find a way to introduce people more to wtas without giving away too much... one of my problems is that i rewrite and revamp my stories Constantly so its a bit difficult to imagine as a finished product right now. AND the characters that i introduce now wont necessarily take that exact form in the story.
one thing i've been thinking about doing is creating smaller stories or something dedicated entirely to open worldbuilding, so that the change is part of the project. i've had this magic/alchemy story on the backburner for a few months but i've been thinking if i should share more info about it publicly ^.^
CURRENTLY i'm still in the preliminary research stage though, so anything i share would just be my initial concepts. i'm trying to find more stuff on alchemy... one video i've been meaning to sit down and watch for it is this one: I learned Alchemy from Medieval Manuscripts. Here's how it works
Should I put $10 towards food, or towards education and development in Gaza?
This is a real question, not just theory or philosophy… a question I face every day, and I found myself needing to answer it clearly.
Today in Gaza, people are hungry… but also, people are lost. There's a graduate sitting on rubble with no laptop to even work on. There's a university student studying by candlelight, without internet to continue their education. There's an engineer, who instead of building, is searching for a box of aid to feed his family.
Do you know what this means? It means the occupation doesn't want to kill us with bullets, it wants to kill us with ignorance, with helplessness, by turning us into just people waiting for a bag of flour, waiting for aid… and that's the biggest crime against us. Today we all in Gaza need a bite to eat… but tomorrow? Do I want to spend my whole life depending on others to live? This is the question that worries me the most!! Or should I be able to provide for myself and my family and rebuild my life from scratch?
That's why, instead of that $10 being a meal for one day, let it be an investment in a student who will emerge from under the rubble, will learn, and will be able to provide their own food forever.
Let it be a share of Esnad, not just so Gaza can live another day… but so that Gaza can rise, stand, and persevere forever.
Help us build a future for the coming days in Gaza. We at ISNAD Foundation provide free scholarships for students. Help us rebuild Gaza by building its students and empowering them to have a suitable learning environment.
I want a game that uses Disco Elysium's same insanely well crafted narrative system and wonderful writing but it's about a young witch trying to solve the disappearance of her neighbor's cat in a small village in the Alps, and also Measurehead is there.
a really great organization that i don't see any posts about here is HEAL palestine. it was founded by steve sosebee, who was a founding president of the PCRF before leaving in late 2023 to refocus his efforts on heal palestine to better meet the needs of palestinians impacted by the genocide. the organization provides palestinians in gaza with food, clean water, shelters, "makeshift classrooms," and even medical evacuation for some children when it's possible--their services are pretty wide.
you can donate here if you would like to send a tax-deductible donation to an organization. also, i don't think any evacuations are possible right now, but if you're in the united states and you'd like to welcome medically evacuated children in the future, i highly recommend signing up for their newsletter or following them on social media so you can stay updated in case any children evacuated by HEAL come to your area for treatment. welcoming these kids at the airport is a really moving way to provide them with moral support, entirely for free.
