Somewhere out there, there is a mock-Jar Jar Binks puppet sitting in a Lucasfilm warehouse.
It must be set free.
Thinking about a bio-horror Metroid Fusion comic again…
Wow. I have never posted anything thats gotten that much of a responce. Figured I'd give a bit of a follow up to that post-
I gained an interest in the show mainly through learning about the history behind it and just how ahead of its time and influential of a show it is. Thus far I've really enjoyed it. Even the weaker episodes all had something interesting or well written going on (I seriously don't see the hate for TKO), and the great episodes are really good.
Season 2 kept the momentum going, the feud between the Narns and Centari has been the definite highlight. The loss of Sinclair really sucks, especially knowing the irl circumstances behind it. But on the bright side, Sheridan has been great addition to the cast and they've done a fantastic job making him not just Sinclair MK.2.
In terms of gripes, its really just down to Na'toth being absent for 90% of the season and my finding Warren Keffer to be uninteresting. But beyond that- great stuff. And season 3 has been even better thus far.
Babylon 5 is hands down one of the best pieces of Sci-fi television I have seen.
And I've only just finished the second season.
Halo Fans very much embody that one "No one hates Sonic more than Sonic fans" meme.
I know because I am both.
i think halo is about space marines and some kind of war maybe. not sure. when i’m over 20 years late to the halo franchise and can simply exist in my own bubble it ends up like this.
In my experience, nothing makes an otherwise sane person crazier than not be able to identify what is true and what is not. And I don't mean "crazy" as a passive irritation, I mean literal, extreme emotional and cognitive dysfunction that can manifest genuine madness.
When someone thinks they know the truth and is then denied this by the non-negotiable wall of reality, their response in a healthy society is to reevaluate their position, but in an emotionally incompetent society in which loyalties are rewarded in spite of the truth--and perhaps the truth is even punished--people rationalize in every manner, along every avenue, that they must be missing some key information which would validate their preconceived understanding. And you will find that the dissonance breeds madness, because we punish the truth.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. That trap is the death knell of a rational society, and the harbinger of civil collapse.
Halo 4 is probably the piece of media that I have the biggest love/hate relationship with.
It feels so close to being something great but doesn't quite hit the mark.
Not to mention how its a game that was the start of a storyline/trilogy that didn't really go anywhere, leaving the feeling that it was the start of something special that never got a proper follow up
what if the creepers were the previous generation of villager’s defense system that were replaced by the more advanced iron golems causing these units to be abandoned and left to rust and overgrown with moss
with the operating system deteriorating with time, these units no longer function properly, becoming a hunk of metal filled with explosive faulty electrical components wandering the earth, becoming a hostile mob themselves
sorry, I felt an obligation to do this
agent rouge should have been at the club .... if only she was at the club .... none of this would have happened ..............
you're right.... Fuck, you're SO RIGHT.......!
