I Am Convinced That No One Who Writes Stress As "gentle, Soft-spoken Healer Mom Friend" Has Ever Actually

I am convinced that no one who writes Stress as "gentle, soft-spoken healer mom friend" has ever actually watched her content and specifically has never watched her interactions with Iskall.

An Alaska Native Group Decided To Make A Video Game. It’s Like Nothing You’ve Ever Played Before.

An Alaska Native group decided to make a video game. It’s like nothing you’ve ever played before.

One of the most groundbreaking, critically acclaimed, and delightful video games of 2014 began in a highly unlikely place — Anchorage, Alaska.

It’s called “Never Alone” (or “Kisima Ingitchuna”). And it wasn’t developed by Nintendo, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, or any of the other big game studios.

It was the brainchild of the Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) — a nonprofit community support organization for Alaska Natives and their families.

And while many Alaska Native communities are struggling to hold on to their identities in the 21st century, the council saw “Never Alone” as both a way of becoming more financially self-sufficient and a necessary new method of transferring cultural knowledge from one generation to the next.

Hey remember when we talked about Pearl coming across and befriending spider Gem since Pearl’s very friendly and probably wouldn’t mind her new friend being a spider.

Well what if DL!Pearl, sad and alone after being left alone by her soulmate and companion, went caving a bit with Tilly to make sure she has enough supplies and gear so that she doesn’t need allies or a soulmate. And what if she found an abandoned mineshaft, lit well and even moderately furnished. And what if she stumbled upon a lonely spider, who’s been rejected and driven away from her former friends since no one likes spiders. And the two might’ve even found solace and friendship in each other, outcasts looking for allies. And what if they were both happy and besties and weren’t sad.

Anyways let Spider Gem and Dl!Pearl be besties and have a friendship and heal from their loneliness together.

Ok trafficblr

In light of recent news, most of the ccs agreed to postpone the episode to tomorrow. However, some eps may get out because the vids are prescheduled and not everyone will be awake to pull it out in time. So here’s what I suggest if some episodes get released early.

1. DON’T HARASS THEM, this should be a non-brainer but be kind, don’t harass them to take the videos down. They likely will anyway once they wake up, being a dick solves nothing.

2. Let’s refrain from posting about it until more episodes get released tomorrow, yeah? The general yt watchers are probably going to watch it, so the least we could do as a community on tumblr is to respect their agreement and avoid talking about or spoiling it at the very least.

A lot of us with ADHD are familiar with the concept of time blindness, but for anyone who isn't: it's a neurological inability to have a consistent sense of the passage of time. If you put me in an empty room, gave me a button and told me to press it when I think it's been 15 minutes, I might press it after..... idk, anywhere between 3 minutes and 2 hours? And if we repeated it the next day the result would probably be wildly different!

But something I've only seen mentioned in one (1) Reddit post, which took some extensive digging to find, is the same effect extending to ALL things measured in numbers. Distance, weight, length, height, amount, space, volume, percentage... For me, small numbers are a bit easier, I could approximate a centimetre probably, but a metre would be much harder and 10 or 100 would likely miss the mark by a lot. Also, anything that can't be easily measured with a ruler or a measuring tape (like weight or volume) is even harder since I don't encounter reference points (like a 1kg hand weight) for those as frequently as I see visual representations of specific lengths.

It's not dyscalculia or anything like that, I'm decent at math (and the OP of the Reddit post was a math major) and I have no other difficulties with numbers, it's just a disconnect in translating real life experiences like sensory input into numbers (and possibly also inconsistent processing of sensory input? Like how the same sound volume is okay one day but hurts my ears the next?), which I think is basically the same thing as what happens with time blindness. For now I've been calling it "measurement blindness" since I've never seen a name for it anywhere, but maybe "quantity blindness" could also work?

I've talked to other people with time blindness to see if they experience this too, but so far none of them have known what I'm talking about. I'd really like to know how many of us are out there and if anyone knows literally anything actually scientific about this very inconvenient phenomenon!

Tl;dr: bc I am wordy:

It's like time blindness but for all things measured in numbers

Not dyscalculia or caused by it

Pretty much never seen it talked about anywhere

Please tell me if it sounds familiar and/or you know something about it, thank
