Hi everyone! I decided to make my own oc and share it here. Her name is Beatriz Milagros. She’s a short spitfire who has a temper if someone messes with her or the people she cares about. Her favorite hobbies are dancing, eating(especially Julieta’s arepas), playing with her sister, and gazing at the stars. She longs to travel outside the Encanto and see the world. Ten year old her had a small crush on teenage Bruno that never seemed to go away. She’s one of the few friends Bruno had and never saw him and his visions as bad.

(I know I’m not the best artist but I did my best lol 😂)

Young Justice x Encanto: Og 6’s Reactions to Watching Encanto

*In my alternative universe, Superboy and Wally have returned after S4

-Conner/Superboy would definitely relate to Mirabel since S1 him wanted Superman to recognize him, and he was very insecure about his lack of having all of Superman’s powers.

-He would feel bad for Mirabel and probably tear up at “Waiting for a Miracle.”

-Camilo would be Wally and Dick’s favorite character since he’s them if they had M’gann’s shapeshifting power.

-Mirabel would remind M’gann of herself back in S1.

-M’gann thinks about bioship whenever she sees Casita. 

-Artemis would be reminded of her and Jade’s relationship (pre S4) when watching Isabela and Mirabel’s interactions.

-Kaldur would relate to Luisa and to her song “Surface Pressure.”

-Almost everyone would dislike Isabela and Abuela 10 minutes into the movie.

-Dick’s comment toward Isabela, “I knew she gave me bad vibes. She controls plants like Ivy.”

-Everyone would be upset with the family for leaving Mirabel out of the photo, especially Conner, M’gann, and Artemis.

-Antonio is instant best boy in the group’s eyes.

-Artemis sees Antonio as Lian.

-Wally and Dick laugh at the dancing donkeys in Luisa’s song.

-Wally’s reaction to seeing Bruno’s room, “Even I’m getting tired looking at those stairs.”

- Dick and Artemis are impressed by Mirabel’s parkour skills. Dick, “For someone with no training, she’s doing pretty good.” Artemis, “And people say she doesn’t have a gift.”

-Everyone has their “oh shit” face when seeing Mirabel on the prophecy tablet.

-No one is not jamming to “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”

-M’gann finds Pepa and Felix’s relationship cute.

-Camilo’s part is Dick and Wally’s favorite part.

-Dick and Wally after hearing why everyone dislikes Bruno, “He’s literally just the messenger,” “And of course you’re going to lose your hair, male-pattern baldness is common in your 50s.”

-Constant cringing and laughing during the engagement dinner.

-Wally’s joke, “This is a worse disaster than our first missions.”

-All six of them are in the “Protect Bruno” club.

-M’gann almost cries seeing Bruno’s plate carving and his view of the dinner table. She wants to give him a big hug.

-Everyone agrees that Isabela’s redemption was not as well done, but still feel bad for her because of the arranged marriage. 

-Kaldur would also relate to Isabela’s song “What Else Can I Do?” since he feels pressured to be perfect. 

-The hate for Abuela grows after her outburst. 

-Cheered for Mirabel when she defended herself.

-Casita’s “death” dropped the mood down fast. 

-Artemis and M’gann cried at Pedro’s death because it reminded them of their partner’s “death”. Their spouses were on comfort patrol. 

-The group have slightly forgiven Abuela for her actions.

-Mirabel getting her doorknob got everyone in the feels. 

-All agree that the new family photo was way better than the other one. 

Overall, everyone would really like this movie. 

Anyone else really disappointed on with the “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” Oscar performance. I only watched the performance and I didn’t like it. Nothing against Megan Thee Stallion, Luis Fonsi, and Becky G(I think they are talented in their own right) but I really wanted the whole cast to be the center of the attention and see the whole song. Having celebrities sing when they don't have a connection to “Encanto” felt really cheap.

Having Shakira, Maluma, and Carlos Vives singing the song would’ve been an okay substitute if the entire cast couldn’t come since they are singers from Colombian and “Encanto” takes place there.

I’ve seen this theory that Pedro reincarnated as Casita, and I am currently reading a story with Pedro as Casita. I enjoy this theory since I find it sweet that the miracle gave Pedro a chance to be with his family in some ways. Also, thinking of Pedro and Mirabel having a special connection when Abuela was being harsh towards her kind of comforts me. It’s hard to explain.

And the scene with Casita protecting the family feels more powerful considering Casita as Pedro imo.

Casita as their own being isn’t bad though. I just don’t have much interest in it than the former.

Overall, Casita is an A tier character.

Dolores Headcanon (Modern AU)

If she lived in the modern age, Dolores would like and relate to Taylor Swift and Adele’s songs, especially “You Belong With Me” and “Someone Like You”

Most people know Taylor Swift and Adele’s music are mostly about lost love and inner turmoil and I think Dolores would connect with them. We don’t know how long Dolores has had a crush on Mariano but I’m going to say for like a few years. “You Belong With Me” is about a girl pining after a guy who is with another and she thinks they don’t fit as a couple. This can pretty much be Dolores’ mindset on the engagement. “Someone Like You” is about woman mourning the loss of a love who is marrying another woman. Again, pretty similar to the engagement circumstances.

What do you guys think?

I really enjoy connecting music with characters and I feel like this song (All That Matters by Casey Lee Williams & Jeff Williams) fits well for Pepa and Julieta’s feelings towards Bruno disappearing and coming back.

For me, I think “All That Matters”(https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CSQ8onIioiE) is about someone who is angry with a loved one for disappearing without a word, but still loves them.

These lyrics remind me of Julieta and Pepa not caring about their issues in their relationship with Bruno and are just happy to have him back.

These lyrics are mostly based on a theory I have. I think Julieta tried to help and connect with Bruno but couldn’t and has regrets for failing after he disappears.

My past mistakes repeated

I'll risk it once again to have you near my side

Anyone else think if ‘91 Drakepad got married they would be similar to Pepa and Félix from Encanto.

Like LP is to Drake, Félix is supportive of Pepa and helps her when she is in emotional distress. Drake and Pepa are emotionally-driven and need non-judgmental partners to feel valid in their negative feelings. Pepa is also a bit narcissistic(not as much as Drake) since in “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” she refers to her and Félix‘s wedding as “my wedding day,” and she gets annoyed when her husband cuts in with his input.

My Ranking of The Encanto Soundtrack(From Most to Least Favorite)

*The Encanto soundtrack is great and there is no song I dislike*

Here is my ranking:

1. We Don’t Talk About Bruno

I know it’s a pretty basic favorite but I don’t care. I love the music and the different singing styles. Plus, it introduced me to the movie. I heard about how popular this song and I listened to the audio and got hooked. My favorite parts are Dolores and Camilo’s, they are unique and great.

2. Surface Pressure

As someone who has anxiety issues and feels constant pressure, this song really resonated with me. The lyrics were also really, and I got sort of emotional near the end. Jessica Darrow does a great job singing this song.

3. Waiting on a Miracle

I also struggle with feeling out of place in my family so Waiting on a Miracle hit me hard in the feels. I don’t have a lot to say other than I relate to the lyrics and the desperation in Mirabel’s voice to make her family proud.

4. Colombia, Mi Encanto

This song gives me such nostalgia on the good times I had with my grandmother when I was little. And the beat is just so infectious.

5. What Else Can I Do?

Now we are at part of the list where I don’t particularly love the songs.

I don’t know why but I don’t feel much for this song even though it is well produced and the lyrics are good. Maybe it’s because I don’t like Isabella that much. She was a good character but I had trouble connecting with her troubles, especially when the way she was handling it was being mean towards Mirabel. I think I would’ve been more forgiving towards her if a reason for her anger towards Mirabel was addressed and that Isabella’s development was not so rushed.

6. The Family Madrigal

Weirdly enough, I’m not in love with the musical numbers that don’t focus on a specific character. I guess with We Don’t Talk About Bruno is like an ensemble song but the main focus was Bruno. The Family Madrigal is a great song for introducing all the characters in a fun way though I wouldn’t listen to it as much.

7. Dos Oruguitas

I’m not a Spanish speaker so it’s hard for me to connect with this song since it’s all in Spanish. Though, it fits perfectly with the corresponding scene, and I got pretty emotional the first time I saw the scene.

8. All of You

Like The Family Madrigal, I didn’t love All of You because it was an ensemble song. There were some parts are enjoyed like Bruno’s little rap and the small cute moments between the family. Mirabel finally getting a door was so sweet though.

Overall, this is a really cute ending song!

I just had this random thought. Camilo is about 15 years old right? And boys go through puberty as well right? Good. Now, imagine Camilo singing we don't talk about Bruno etc. and his voice suddenly cracks and he goes:

Encanto headcannons pt4 i think that Bruno when he does his tele novella’s he dress up his rats and little outfits I feel like he puts dresses on them, and played it out like a little kid playing with dolls I can totally see him sewing a tiny dress, and a suit for his little rats 💖💖
