There is, perhaps, no solitary sensation so exquisite as that of slumbering on the grss or hay, shaded from the hot sun by a tree, with the consciousness of a fresh light air running through the wide atmosphere and the sky stretching far overhead upon all sides
Leigh Hunt (1784-1859)
Take your time to be friendly -
It is the road to happiness.
Take time to dream -
It is hitching your wagon to a star.
Take time to love and to be loved -
It is the privilege of the gods.
Take time to look around -
It is too short a day to be selfish .
Take time to laugh -
It is the music of the soul.

Look to the day! For it is life, the very life of life. In its brief course lie all the varieties and realities of your existence: the bliss of growth, the glory of action. the splendour of beauty. For yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision but today, well-lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day! Such is the salutation of the dawn.
FROM THE SANSKRIT
‘The best things are nearest: breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of Right just before you. Do not grasp at the stars, but do life’s plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.’
Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894)
Breathe, drink, taste... Live in each season as it passes: Breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.
Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862)
