Their shells are fused w their sides :D, if u can see their skin on their sides it’s most likely they cannot go in
Next is the 2012 tmnt and they….
Can go in their shells! (In my opinion these guys are the most turtle like in all of the versions) They can all fully retract into their shells and have in multiple instances in the show
Now the next one is a bit more complicated it’s the RISE!2018 tmnt turtles…
