I can see B being very obsessed with finding out what the numbers mean and not even bothering to hide it so its pretty common knowledge that he believes he can see random numbers above people’s heads.
Okay but how did Mello or really anyone actually find out that B had shinigami eyes?? I don't think B even knew the proper name for/origin of them considering nobody knew shinigami actually existed until well after the whole LABB fiasco. At one point in jail was B just like "yeah actually I can see when everyone is going to die" and then after Mello found out about the shinigami eyes he put two and two together or what??
linda was too powerful to consider as successor
It’s crazy how little I go outside tbh. I just went outside for the first time since monday, and the only reason I went out on monday was to go to my school’s dnd group o_o
this is kinda old and experimental but I still like it sooo why not put it here
FACTS
Sidoh, a shinigami, comes to the human realm to get his notebook back
The notebook is in the hands of the mafia, led by Mello, so Sidoh establishes contact with them
After an undetermined amount of time (but that couldn't be longer than some minutes) Sidoh is shown eating chocolate
PREMISE
Mello would not have given Sidoh the chocolate he was eating, seeing as if anyone touched it Mello would probably kill them in an unhinged laughing rampage of violence
We also know he didn't do that because Mello is still showing the same bar of chocolate as before
The rest of the mafia wouldn't be insane enough to give one of Mello's chocolate bars to a shinigami without consent, and they have no reason to have any chocolate bars themselves
CONCLUSION
Mello himself took the time to open his Chocolate Vault™ and get one of his spare bars to give to Sidoh
He just needed him to know what chocolate tasted like ASAP i guess
That is all
This is me but for fanfictions that I haven’t even started to write, and probably never will write
I want to read a fic but I want to read MY fic that I haven't finished yet
i do not at all mean this in a perjorative manner, but i do think it’s important to be able to consume a piece of media and go, “i’m not the audience for this” and be able to just walk away
there doesn’t have to be something wrong or “problematic” about something for a person to not like it. personal taste is personal taste. but something not doing it for you doesn’t mean it automatically has to be wrong or bad. it’s just not for you.
one cool and chill thing about me is that before i can write a sentence about a character i have to figure out everything that’s ever happened to them and probably their parents and extended family also
This would explain so much actually. Why else would he let a 14 year old just leave?
as I'm writing Mazzaroth, and important to keep in mind: A and B are older than L to me, I'm just thinking... What if Roger became non confrontational and passive after A's death? What if he used to be quite strict in the past, but then he felt responsible that a kid he had in care died and thought that if he had been more lenient, that wouldn't have happened? I know how the majority of the fandom views Roger, Watari and the Wammy's, that is quite different from my own (made a 8k words post about that, so I can't really summarise it). But I just want a serious conversation about these characters, without people jumping immediately to the extreme (the death note fandom does it so often, it's actually headache inducing) and say that they are basically monsters devoid of any human emotion. In my headcanons about A, I also imagine that he first tried to escape, before B (and others, Roger and Watari included) managed to find him and bring him back, so when Mello decided to leave the Wammy's, Roger felt like he couldn't impose his authority, because... What if he reacted like A?
