Well, drawing a Death Note Pokémon AU sure as fuck ain't paying the bills but I'd be lying if I said It doesnt feel good lol.

I have no idea where this came from. Honestly, I took Adderall to clean my room, and this happened instead, but i hope someone besides me finds this entertaining, lol.

I had a whole plot in my head but forgot it already. All I got is Near is from Lavender Town, but strangely, no one else in town has ever seen or heard of him. Guess just another one of Lavender town's ghost stories...kinda weird how kids toys keep popping up on the gravestones, tho.

Bonus: Espurr was his first pokemon. He never goes inside his pokeball, and he has an insatiable hunger for violence.

This was too much fun, and I'm already in the middle of drawing Mello, so I'm hoping I can post it later today. Feel free to let me know what you guys think or if you have any ideas!

Also, work and life have had me in a chokehold for the last couple of months, so I'm sorry to everyone on here I ghosted. I'm hoping to message people back later tonight and maybe even post more headcanons, but in the meantime whatcha guys think Near would name his Espurr?

FACTS

Sidoh, a shinigami, comes to the human realm to get his notebook back

The notebook is in the hands of the mafia, led by Mello, so Sidoh establishes contact with them

After an undetermined amount of time (but that couldn't be longer than some minutes) Sidoh is shown eating chocolate

PREMISE

Mello would not have given Sidoh the chocolate he was eating, seeing as if anyone touched it Mello would probably kill them in an unhinged laughing rampage of violence

We also know he didn't do that because Mello is still showing the same bar of chocolate as before

The rest of the mafia wouldn't be insane enough to give one of Mello's chocolate bars to a shinigami without consent, and they have no reason to have any chocolate bars themselves

CONCLUSION

Mello himself took the time to open his Chocolate Vault™ and get one of his spare bars to give to Sidoh

He just needed him to know what chocolate tasted like ASAP i guess

"His eyes darkened." The fuck does that even mean? Idk but I eat it up every time.

Usually if a song is longer than ~6 minutes it's a special-occasions-only song because my ADHD does not have the patience to sit through the whole thing.

However a couple weeks ago I heard "The Sun, The Moon, The Star" by Æther Realm—which is a third of an hour long—and since then I've listened to it multiple times a day.

Absolute masterpiece of a song, recommend it to everybody

Caveat is it's melodic death metal, which might be a turn off to some people

I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:

Fictional characters are objects.

They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.
