"But heed this, the price you pay may be heavy indeed."
"It doesn't matter."
ranking the best things I have heard surgeons say mid-surgery:
1. "Five second rule!" while scrubbed, after dropping a sterile scalpel on the floor (no they did NOT pick it up again but I swear everyone's buttholes puckered)
2. (spoken during the closing of a particularly long and difficult case) "Nurse - my tunes." :heavy metal starts blasting:
3. Gently to a fretful patient, pre-anaesthesia: "It's going to be okay. I promise, I've dealt with worse." As soon as the patient is unconscious: "This is literally the worst thing I've ever seen."
4. [okay this one was a med student] "Wowwww, that's so gross!!" Reg: "Please remember that [patient] is awake for this procedure." Student to patient: "Oh my god. I am so sorry, that was really unprofessional - " Patient, cheerfully, also engrossed with what's happening inside them on the screen: "Nah - it's, like, super gross, right?"
5. [another procedure where the patient couldn't be put under GA] Patient: *starts singing country roads midway through the procedure* Surgeon: *shrugs and joins in with surprisingly good harmony*
people who don't experience hyperfixation don't know what it feels like to hyperfixate so much on something that it becomes not only your subject of obsession but also your source of happiness and literally the main reason why you still keep going; literal source of strength and life.

Oh my little baby boy… Da di da di da di da di...
Tw for Kakashi’s general (terrible) mental state, including hallucinations, slight body horror and blood.
I.
II.
III.
These are parts 1, 2 and 3 out of 5. You can probably already guess who the rest will be about.
I have kind of taken this project as sort of like three different art studies in one (color, lineart and Kakashi's character).
It is set on Kakashi's ANBU era, where he was most depressed (and hallucinations were definetly (a common occurance/happening)). He had lost everything and everyone during this stage of his life,
I wanted to explore his feelings about every person he lost and how their deaths affect him.
More details about each part that you may have not noticed:
Sakumo:
Kakashi’s face is not fully visible, only Sakumo's.
At the end when he talks about the blood he refers to the floor as "wooden" when he's actually in the bathroom on a tile floor, meaning he's hallucinating he's in his old house where he found his father.
Minato and Kushina:
The reason why they're blurried is because Kakashi was not involved in their deaths at all, unlike the other times. He never saw them die.
This is also why he can’t reach them. No matter how much he runs he could bot get there in time to save them and he can’t go back in the past either.
Minato is facing back in that one panel to represent the distance between him and Kakashi. Because in the canon Minato always seemed to keep a work relationship with his team and he seemed warm but was actually emotionally distant.
Kushina's voice is loud but I chose to not add any positive or negative adjectives because we never saw her and Kakashi interact in canon and don’t know how their relationship was like.
In the last panel Kakashi's hand is similar to a monster one, even Kurama itself, representing how he believes he will negatively affect Naruto.
Kakashi:
The color palette is monochrome except for the blood and the sharingan, representing how his life was colorless before he had his precious people, especially Obito.
This is the first time Kakashi's face is visible.
The focus on the "white fang" blade also works as a reminder of what will happen if he breaks.
youve changed man, what happened

Luffy not telling anyone about himself/his past is so fucking funny to me. He will literally tell anyone about Shanks and his beloved straw hat, but only be like "oh yeah, I have a brother" if said brother is physcially standing in front of him
