The thing neurotypicals tend not to understand about the ADHD brain is that it really only has two gears

Fun fact: i used to think shark tank was about putting like six dudes in a tank full of sharks (of the large-enough-to-eat-a-person variety) and pulling out whoever had survived at the end of the day. And then they’d put them back in the next day and they would do this for a month or so until either everyone was dead or the season was over
I follow so many gimmick blogs. I see a blog that posts random fish under posts. Follow. I see a blog that posts isopods. Follow. I scroll through hellsitegenetics and find out there’s a similar one for proteins. Follow. My feed is a mix of tmagp theorists and random animals/science/data analysis/screenshots of specific items in movies/i think i follow someone who posts pictures of rick astley/birds/whatever. It’s glorious. There’s nothing fraught about a scrub jay. 10/10 highly recommend this tumblr experience
Unrelated to the last post but what if the distortion was actually like. The output of one of the early machine learning image generators trying to make a person. Like hear me out ok. Struggles with hands, never looks quite right, tends to go a bit crazy with colours, may or may not be one with the background. Plus have you ever watched one of those timelapses of a ML program generating an image. Thats exactly how the distortion moves. Also fucked up geometry
I want to do a hear me out cake but i think my perception of what even counts as a hear me out has been horribly warped by the simple fact that i am on tumblr
Inconsequential headcanon: Gerry Keay didn’t wear socks most of the time. He’d just put the shoes on and call it good
“Clearly” aroace, hmm? Did she not flirt with one of Prime’s bots? As in, literal onscreen flirting? And that wasn’t even the only time, just the one that immediately sprang to mind
Lmao
Entrapdak is so gross, not only is Hordak like.. thousands of years old, Entrapta is clearly aroace.
Okay but I get so many of these and I am THIS CLOSE to taking away anon privileges.
On twitter I’m seeing dozens of threads from Black activists warning people against burnout, giving all sorts of useful tips about preventing and managing it for the sake of a long-term, sustainable effort.
On tumblr I’m seeing a hell of a lot of young white kids yelling at anyone who actually follows those steps, and acting like burnout is a moral falling rather than a well-proven psychological phenomenon.
Be careful who you get your information from. Don’t let guilt lead you to make choices that will harm both you and the movement.
