I made these as a way to compile all the geographical vocabulary that I thought was useful and interesting for writers. Some descriptors share categories, and some are simplified, but for the most part everything is in its proper place. Not all the words are as useable as others, and some might take tricky wording to pull off, but I hope these prove useful to all you writers out there!

In case the esim process confuses you or you aren't able to buy them yourself for any other reason, crips for esims for Gaza is collecting donations, they've almost met their goal of $150,000 raised. Donating allows them to buy esims in bulk which allows them to obtain more than individuals would be able to. I just donated and it was super easy as you can use paypal.
These are hydrocolloid bandages. They work wonders at pulling fluid through skin and absorbing all that gunk.
You can cut them down to size, wear them on your face at night, and in the morning you’ll see a noticeable difference plus the bandage visibly absorbs the goo and it’s gross but weirdly satisfying.
They’re cheaper than most acne products, they work, and 1 pack lasts for ages. They’re sold in the band-aid section of most pharmacies; try them if you can.
this is the worst fucking day of my life, and yet i am not surprised in the slightest.
toph is an icon for disabled people. she’s one of so few blind characters who is a hero and whose disability is not her weakness or fatal flaw. while it does make her life harder, as any disability does, it also gives her strength. she is the greatest earthbender of her generation. she invented a whole new subsection of bending. the people behind the live action production had a chance to make history just by doing the bare minimum: casting a blind actress to play a blind character. they couldn’t even do that.
not only that, but they’re making her “slightly more feminine” to “humanize” her. as if there weren’t so many young girls out there who looked up to toph because she was weird and didn’t fit the mold. in “tales of ba sing se” she tells katara, “i don’t care what i look like. i’m not looking for anyone’s approval. i know who i am.” to have a female character who doesn’t conform to beauty standards is so important especially right now with the prevalent beauty influencer culture.
while the original cartoon’s representation of women wasn’t perfect, it was diverse. katara and ty lee were both feminine. they liked to dress up and look pretty. toph is not feminine. she grew up forced to dress in formal clothes and style herself a certain way and decided to liberate herself from that. all three of these women are incredibly strong and incredibly talented at what they do, and none of that is impacted by their appearance or gender presentation.
every day, my hatred for the netflix version of avatar grows.
An alternate universe in which aliens had arrive during ww1-ww2ish, Inspired by the incident of the attack of the dead men. Also sincerely sorry for wrong grammer.
I am not native to English. Im using a dictionary lol.
When we had arrive, a group of men in gas masks threw bombs made of a gas-mixture. Mostly harmless to some of our specimens on board our ship, we have landed pretty far, enough for the trees and all sorts of organisms to hide us, but also close enough to see the destruction these Terrans had caused.
We had expected aliens from a far, trying to colonize a terrene classed fleshlings. But..no, we saw other humans, gasping for air as they clenched their very own throats, horrifying site indeed.
As they fell onto the ground like dying flies, the men decided to start stabbing them, as if they weren't already dead. But soon as one was about to be stabbed, the corpse,.. or what seemingly was a corpse clenched the knife that was on the gun.
We had a okay grasp with humanity, although we didn't understand why they needed to tape brittle knives on their guns. Why couldn't they just shoot them? Who knows.
The man's hand bled, before they managed to forcefully take the knife from the poorly duct taped gun. Before tackling the soldier while puking blood, it started to stab it, the other soldiers were stunned although one had stepped up and shot it.
"W████uf war███t █u? F██ts█tzen!" The man shouted harshly, my men couldn't understand such words.. as if our translators broke right here and there. It sounded like a mix of Martikir Urthonian and Schlovia'Adepti language, an abomination that is. Although it may be due to the distance from the man and us.
Soon the soldiers did not hesitantly think of not continuing, as if a dead or supposedly dead man had came and killed one of their soldiers. Soon those whom have not been stabbed started walking, using their guns as canes and soon some of them started to retreat without command.
Four or three soldiers were stabbed, and some were shot. Soon the same man had shouted, "VER███S█ ███ZT!" They had ran through the barbed wire, most had started falling and being trampled by their own soldiers. Brutally being cut by the fact that they were being slammed forcefully by hundreds of feet and onto sharp wires made of metal.
Soon the dead men started shooting their guns, like some sick game of.. what was that? Shooting chalk through fake gunsthat humans think are fun ? Ah right.. airsoft.
Soon enough all of them had left, the field was bloody, and their screams and puking noises filled the air with red. I do not know what had happened to those men, but I know the other side had ran sl fast that they had simply gone through their own traps and defenses.
It was a scene from a nightmare, something no one could've made up alone. We fled from there, going somewhere else instead of that monstrosity of a battle.. I wish we had came to earth after this horrid battle between all of humanity.
