someone on twitter wanted to see a headshot example and I didn’t have recent samples so here’s a quick nightshade! I love them ^^ I think their design is really cool!

Thinking about how funny Missed Connections is from anyone’s perspective other than Nightshade’s

From Tarantulas’ perspective, this random excitable incredibly nerdy child wandered into his lab (which is in a graveyard), presumably either lost or trying to hide, and becomes his assistant out of sheer curiosity. When he asks them to run away with him in order to hide from the ambiguously evil agency trying to imprison and/or indenture bots (and put them in fighting rings but I’m presuming he doesn’t know about that) they respond by looking dramatically away and saying they have other …obligations here. And then you go to their house and find out that they’re living with a full on GHOST agent, who’s saying inexplicably threatening things, and misunderstandings ensue.

From the rest of the sibling’s perspectives, it’s a no-school day, but their sibling Nightshade is building inventions instead of hanging out with them. Then they read Batman and tries to go visit the author in a graveyard, and whilst they’re gone, they try and fix their invention with duct tape and self-confidence to try and get Nightshade to hang out with them, and end up breaking it further. Nightshade, however, is not angry, because they met a scientist in the graveyard, and wants to take apart the murdersphere 5007 with the scientist. And then a giant spider kidnaps their parents. 

From Dot and Alex’s perspective, their child is struggling to connect with their siblings, asks about morality, might have met a decepticon, and then they get kidnapped by a giant fucking spider in the middle of the night.

Perfection.

I've got this dumb little headcanon that Nightshade is very sensitive to impurities in the water or energon they consume, and so if there is any contamination to a batch of energon, Nightshade lets them know by coughing it up as a pellet, like owls do.

The first time it happens, they just hear Nightshade start coughing, and then suddenly it just falls out and everyone's asking Nightshade why they've been eating rocks-

Thrash, after gathering all the siblings: So, don’t panic... but one of us is possessed by an owl.

Everyone: ...

Nightshade: ...Who?

Thrash: That’s the thing, we don’t-

*Everyone stares at Nightshade*

Nightshade: Bye Tarantulas! Bye Mom! Bye Dad! Bye Tarantulas!

Thrash: You said “Bye Tarantulas” twice.

Nightshade: I like Tarantulas.

there's no way the adult bots in Earthspark haven't magnetised their plating at least once in order to stick one of the Terrans on their frame like an electro-magnetic baby carrier while trying to address some shit the others are doing, lmao

like, I don't have enough arms to deal with this, I'll just stick this one to my chest while running to stop the others from accidentally dying

maybe Nightshade gets curious about how powerlines work, so they start flying up to check it out and Bumblebee just grabs them out of the air like "NOPE, THAT'S NOT HOW WE LEARN ABOUT ELECTRICITY"

meanwhile Thrash is about to slam himself in the helm with his wheel boomerang move during battle practice, gotta intercept that before anyone gets a processor injury

so Nightshade gets magnetised while Bee grabs the wheel before it can ricochet

Hashtag is about to share slightly too much information on social media, gotta grab their phone, go go go go

the sheer chaos, lmao

but also this could be very cute, like Megatron magnetising Twitch to his chest in order to teach her some combat moves or defensive melee forms without risking her getting hit or stepped on :')

bonus: similar to a Cone of Shame situation, Optimus might magnetise Bumblebee to his chest after Dorothy raises some concerns to Optimus about Bee's combat training with the Terrans.

it's nothing too serious but Optimus wants a captive audience to be sure his commentary is heard and noted, so Bee just sighs and accepts being magnetised while Optimus gives him some leaderly advice, lmao

this vaguely has the same vibe as cats carrying kittens around by the scruff, which is also fun

I want and also need to see an earthspark moment/episode where the Malto bots can get into an aquarium. I just can't get my mind off how things could be (especially in those really big aquarium tanks), like:

Twitch and Trash competing on how many fish they can count (and who is the best at it).

Hashtagh being a real vlogger, using her internet skills to look up more about the place and the sea creatures (and maybe even scaring JB with some "scary" facts about some underwater creatures).

JB being fascinated at how small some of the creatures are, but also a little scared at how big and scary some of them can be. I think he would be concerned if the space (tank) they have is enough to keep that many of them in there and if they are comfortable there.

And Nightshade, omg, I've been thinking non-stop about them walking around the aquarium, being really curious and contemplating everything there. Taking their time to stop trying not to miss any little thing and expressing their observations with their polite and delicate voice.
