There's a sigh of reverie for each thought of her in mind. A silent form of worship, and a quiet prayer, all dedicated to her. This is what love is, to me, a lasting effect of a religion ingrained in the depths of my heart—one I have kept buried for so long I had accepted a life that carried on without such a concept—until, of course, you. Pounding at my doors, stringing with you the kind of consequence that seems good enough even at the face of eternal damnation.

I am no saint, however. In fact, I will never be one, but this remains good.

My scriptures tell me loving you is a sin, but I will have no qualms spending an entire lifetime to repent for each kiss, each hold, each embrace; covering ground and crusading over the maps of our skins. All this that I've done, I will continue to be doing, if only to serve my way of believing in a god that shows itself in the briefest of moments. He is there as I look into your eyes, she bestows upon me her blessing when our breaths meld together, it graciously leaves space for prayer when the gasping reach their peak, at the parting of limbs, within containing water — perhaps that is why Moses’ story continue to be passed onto generation after generation.

This was not meant to be tucked in the deepest corner of an abysmal closet.

I believe it now, have witnessed it myself, albeit not in its truest form. This is the closest I will ever get to Heaven, and I willingly resign to such fate. Even angels pale in comparison to your existence; divine, yet finite; immaculate, yet painfully human.

How can it possibly get any better than that?

I’ve had some stoned!firstprince brainrot lately. Slowly put surely, it’s coming to fruition.

Henry dumbly takes Alex’s outstretched hand, and does not notice how the cool metal of the rings hugging Alex’s fingers feels along his clammy digits. He’s nodding his head, sure he looks like a fawn caught in high beams.

Henry looks into Alex’s eyes. They’re a smoldering caramel hue encompassed by rows of lashes, lined with something dark and smudged at the edges. His smile is an intoxicating mix of something coy, telling you in no uncertain terms that Alex knows something you don’t, edged with a kind of child-like innocence. A heady balance of sin and absolution, tied together in the middle. And through it all, there’s that cut of silver; that bloody ring that Henry is close enough now to see that Alex pushes his tongue against, rolling the metal from the inside of his lip.

henryfox: I’m sorry, I can't tell whether I've made you up or if this is actually real. Letting out a snort, Alex sits up against the headboard and briefly ruffles his hair before he opens his phone to the camera. Giving it a grin and sending it over to Henry before he can stare at it long enough and decide to start a whole photoshoot. theagcd: [photo] theagcd: ill let u be the judge of that henryfox: Real, then.

Nothing makes me unmatch faster than copied and pasted Google Translate.” Alex hadn’t realized Raf was anything but straight, though Oscar didn’t react, so he must’ve known. Still, Alex had to ask. “You’re gay?”

Hello and welcome to the first Red White and Royal Blue New Year's Gift Exchange!

New Year's? Yes. New Year's.

A lot of fandoms have Christmas gift exchanges or Secret Santa events, and while we love those, it does get a little busy in the run up to Christmas.

Plus, New Year's Eve is when the Firstprince story really started!

So we went with a New Year's gift exchange instead.

And what better way to start the new year than with a RWRB gift?

All gifts are due January 1st 2024, whether that's one minute after midnight (on the night from December 31st to January 1st) or one minute before midnight (from January 1st to January 2nd) is entirely up to you.

Six(ish) Sentence Sunday

...yes this is another fucking new WIP, no I am not making good choices. At least the WIP tag/current doc name is really, really unsubtle.

It's also significantly more than six sentences, if that helps?

“Look, man.” Alex grips one wrist with his other hand and brings his arms behind his head as he leans back, t-shirt riding up and exposing a thin strip of what appear to be very firm abs, and Henry is suddenly very much regretting ticking ‘no’ on the part of the form that asked if he wanted to engage in reciprocal sexual contact. “I had to sign a whole NDA that didn’t have your name on it just to get access to the one that did—obviously I’m not asking so I can turn around and put your fetishes on blast on Twitter. But you’re doing this here, not back in the UK, which means—unless y’all are planning to recolonise us and I missed the news—this is gonna be a one-time thing, or at least not super regular. Right?”  The back of Henry’s neck warms up thinking about regular—about a standing appointment in his schedule, obfuscated as carefully as his therapy visits are in case of anyone snooping but there nonetheless, a stretch of next times promising Alex’s hands on him—but Alex has already identified the exact reason why that won’t happen. And besides, he’s yet to experience Alex’s hands on him this time. “Right.” Alex leans forward with a lazy, promising smirk that has heat pooling in Henry’s gut. “Which is why I want to make sure you get exactly what you need out of this time. You went to all this effort; might as well make it one to remember, sweetheart.”

RWRB New Year's Gift Exchange!

Had the absolute honor to write for @raysletters' prompts in this event. I hope it's up to par, and a good read. Hehe.

Three prompts were given, but I went with this and put my own twist into it: Henry and Alex don't know each other, except they end up fake-dating for the chance to buy their favorite pastry at their local coffee shop, who is apparently now selling said pastry ONLY on a promo combo for couples.

This guy, Henry, Alex remembers hearing that earlier, was now widening his eyes in bits while his mouth continued saying words Alex isn't quite registering at the moment. Alex is almost convinced he could watch and hear this man talk forever and he’d never get tired of it. “Would you want to be my fake boyfriend then?” Those words register to Alex perfectly. “Do I look gay to you?” Is the first thing Alex ever says back to Henry.
