The two OC’s are Omega, who is by @emilysramblings and Cyclone who is by me. Then of course there is Tartar from Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion. Story explained below.

Cyclone is an octoling from the domes- but specifically from somewhere really far beneath the surface with some more extreme beliefs. After he escaped to the surface, he hid as much as he could of his prior identity.

That is until someone exposed him. Fearing someone would find him, he hid somewhere nobody would want to go: the deepsea metro. This went about as well as anyone would expect, and Cyclone is forced to become a super soldier to serve Tartar’s needs.

Omega on the other hand knows nothing outside the metro. It’s not even that she fell down there, she was raised down there. It’s all she’s ever known. Due to what she endured at a young age, she has a very fragmented sense of self. Most of her parts are fully loyal to the metro, but one in particular sees more.

When that part meets Cyclone, she offers him a chance to get back out. Due to the metro’s brainwashing, he struggled to know if she could be trusted. However, he ended up taking the offer and fighting with what little will he had out to the surface.

Cyclone hopes one day he can save her

This actually reminds me of a time I was in a hospital at an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. It was in a pediatric hospital because I was 16 iirc. I was supposed to be there for three days, and potentially be temporarily taken off my meds while I was there. Well the woman who did my EEG there stopped it after 24 hours. She completely ignored the directions and never took me off my meds for the time I was there.

The issue is, i am diagnosed with epilepsy. I have had it show up on an EEG before. I also have PNES, for context. Right now, my epilepsy is managed enough that my PNES is the main issue.

The fact she immediately ignored all directions the moment she saw I was having PNES episodes from the portion of the EEG she saw. If she just did what she was asked, would I have gotten a better understanding of my epilepsy?

I don’t know if this is truly malpractice or not. Just felt the need to get it off my mind.

As someone who’s felt both sides of this.

Being the “gifted” kid is an experience to say the least, but please don’t speak over others. If anything, we can help eachother! Solidarity!

insane to me when former gifted kids hear other people (mainly disabled people and dropouts) talk about being horribly traumatized & irreversibly harmed by the school system and their response 9/10 times is “oh yeah??? you think that’s bad??? well my teacher said I had potential and everyone said I was going places and then I didn’t” like we’re supposed to be absolutely devastated for them because of this. lmfao

i live in a town that is by majority black. i visit atlanta almost weekly and i see a rich community built from so many identities in culture. every fucking day i see and i talk to the people you guys are leaving behind when you say "fuck the south!" and i see that your activism really isn't for everyone
