It was a long day for Charlie, school was too long today, he had 2 tests, he stupidly brought only one sandwhich and an apple forgetting he had no money on him and so after almost 9 hours of school spaning over 10 classes he was finally heading home.

Naturally, missing his bus ment walking home, but he was so hungry his stomech hurt, he needed a rest. He stopped by his favorite store, Burny & Cinders, a local food and second hand shop selling jewlery, clothing, books and everyday items second hand, as well as food that was 'not previusly owned' as Burny would say. He walked inside, the bell wrang ''hi Cinder'' he said, his voice was numb ''hi Charli- oh, oh goodness, are you alright?'' She asked, her wrinkled face expressed concern, her curly, firey red hair - which had started gaining white ashy streaks in it long ago - rested on her shoulders which were covered in a purple shawl, she had a flower hairpin in her hair, ''oh, Burny! Burny! Where are you, I need you start the hotdog mechine'' she called to her husbend in the mini kitchen, her voice was soft and deep, her tone was motherly ''you must be starving, its past four PM and you've probebly just gotten out of school! Sit down, i'll go get you a hotdog, on the house'' she usherd charlie to sit on the chair, something which was slightly harder considuring how short she was, her hight came with her age turning her from an avregly highted slightly chubby women to a short slightly chubby women, she was always this kind though, there was never a time she wasnt this sweet ''I cant except this Cinder, i have to pay you'' Charlie said ''noncense!'' She answered ''trust me darling, you do enough to earn this, if it werent for you Sasha and Sock would have to orgenise and clean the bookshelve by themselves, it's tedius! No one can do it like you, and no one else has time to do it, if it werent for you no one would touch the book section'' she said laughing ''thanks'' Charlie said, a slight smile playing on his lips ''Burny! Put a hotdog on the grill!'' She paused for a moment ''and add some fries too''

People ask him what he sees in Wade and he just can't compute. What do you mean what does he see? Wade is everything he's perfect what isn't there to love?

People are making snide comments about Wade and Logan's just correcting them, because no actually nothing is wrong with him he is in fact perfect. If you think otherwise you are just objectively wrong.

So with that being said heres why:

First up, he's got 2 dads and a mom -

His bio dad, Yuval, who his mother had him amd his oldest sister, Tillie, with before divorcing him. He writes children's books and now lives with his girlfriend Amilia and her son Allie. Nathen, Tilly and their adopted brother see him as an uncle because he was never really a dad to them. He's 54

His bio mom, Hilla, who works as a docter, she's 53 and she's jewish which ties into my prior post about how i hc Nathan as jewish.

And his step-dad, Marc, who is a secretery at a law firm, he's 51. Him and Hilla adopted a son together.

Then theres his siblings -

Tillie, the eldest is 35 years old and works at a cranberry farm. She lives near the countryside with her girlfriend, Jolene (36, a vet), he boyfriend, Peter (34, an elementary teacher), and Jolene's twin kids, Jimmy and Jemma who are both 7

Tatsou, he's japanese and the adoptive older brother to Nathan, he's 29 and has a degree in plantology and medicine. During college he worked as a tattoo artist and he was actually the one who gave Nathan his first tattoo at 18, its on his right shoulder blade, a feather with the initials of all his family members and his childhood dog, owen, who passed the week before at 15. After that he worked as a chiropractor/massues before he moved to an island that i made up for my heartstopper AU that also applies to the AU that this exists in, Zoria, which is (according to my AU) a half hour ferry ride from the nearst british shore, the entire island is a nature reserve and educational resort that uses the help of locals to teach history and preserve nature, Tatsou's job is simple, he takes care of the greenhouse and teaches tour groups about native plants and extinc native plants. This was how he met Juwon, his fience, an african american man who specializes in aquatics and marine biology who is one of the many guides for the tour groups. (They were both inspired by tatsuo and juwon from dolightful's youtube channel, i just cant not cross the fandoms and make up backstories for them, i love them too much!!)

Then theres the grandparents:

Nona, a 70ish yearold korean woman, adopted Nathan's mom when she was 2, she raised her as a single mother for 10 years before dating and marrying an italian man named Gustavo, who is currently in his mid 70's. They both worked as teachers which what inspired Nathen to become one

And lastly there is the traditions:

• if any family member is sick the others, apon being notified, must send them ingridients for nona's soup in express shipping and the sick person must send them a photo of the finished soup to show that they are okay

• a tattoo is family bonding, if Tillie, Tatsuo or Nathen want to get a tattoo both their siblings will come with, this isnt optional

• once every 2 months they all come over to Hilla and Marc's house to watch a move and eat a massive bowl of boba pearls, fruits, honey and milk mixed together (i forgot what its called) and then watch movies in pijamas

• every morning you have to send the color of your shirt in the family group chat and if another person is wearing the same color shirt as you you have to facetime them, no exceptions

Life is a lot like a taco.

It keeps falling apart as you try to enjoy it, yet you're somehow always expected to shove it down you throat and say ''wow, this is good''. And sometimes...

It is! Its good, it beutiful, everything is coming together perfectly but other times...

Other times you just want it to end.

Just want it to stop falling apart.

Not want to eat it after some stupid kid throws it to the floor, stepps on it and says ''gosh your taco is pathetic''

But you have to take it, and keep eating the taco because if you wont, someone will take it... you might even let them take it. And when you do... you dont do anything anymore.

to those of you who are moving here from tiktok, from someone whos used both tiktok and tumbr for years...

1. DO NOT censor your posts

dont censor sex, abuse, suicide, dont censor it. we dont have censors like tiktok does, you wont be banned for talking about these things and tagging them properly helps people avoid them (also, we dont have shadowbanning here)

2. we dont really have an algorithm

you follow who you follow, and you see posts from who you follow or what you search. the 'for you page' is basically useless here. this also brings me to my next two points

3. dont crosstag

we get it, on tiktok you have to crosstag for reach, but thats not really a thing here. just tag your posts properly (also posters often leave more info about the post in the tags!! and when you reblog stuff you can leave your own notes in the tags, kind of like the old "repost comments" on tiktok)

4. dont expect to go viral/be famous

"viral" isnt really a thing on here (at least not for the average blogger). your posts will probably get 2-10 likes and you wont get nearly as many followers than on tiktok. thats just how tumblr is

5. blocking is your best friend

tiktok is VERY discussion based, and while tumblr is much more discussion based than other social medias, its still not a good place for ragebait/discourse. dont interact, itll make your experience worse in the end, just block and move on

6. you cant go into someone elses house and start rearranging their furniture

this is tumblr, not tiktok. dont diss old tumblr users for how they use the site or try to change them, thats like going into someone elses house and trying to rearrange their furniture. we've been here longer and we're familiar with the site and its culture, either find your niche, adapt, or find a different app
