My Local Con Scene Is Kinda Falling Apart Rn. One Guy In Our Friend Group Is Apparently A Bad Person
my local con scene is kinda falling apart rn. one guy in our friend group is apparently a bad person and has been exiled, and people are distancing themselves from another guy for being creepy (hes been super creepy to me in the past) AND NOW im directly starting drama because a local convention owner has been creepy to me. why does this scene have so much drama in it???

going to a con in 2 (ish) weeks and heres the situation...
• i was friends with a "family friendly" local con owner (who is a 25 year old straight white man)
• that friend and i would talk via discord basically everyday
• that friend sent me some weird stuff (including pictures)
• also is friends with a 32 year old WHITE MAN that says the n word and calls furries the f slur AND he brings him to cons and he helps do promo
• this friend and i have not spoken since the incident (roughly 10 days)
• unfortunately he usually has booths at cons to help promote his, so i will probably be seeing him at this next one
• ALSO when i made a call out post on my instagram story (i didnt mention that it was him specifically, just a local person with some influence), i noticed it had 2 shares so i worry that someone may have sent it to him
anyway im kinda worried about the possibility of seeing him and getting mad at me or just trying to talk to me in general.
like if he doesnt know about it i worry that he will try to talk to me like normal at the con ;-;

creepy guy i know tried to pat me on the head once... i flinched and said "dont touch me" and he recoiled and was like "jeeze dont get so mad at me" O_O
You should be able to say “don’t touch me” to anyone ever in any context and not have it be considered in the realm of surprising or insulting imho if we ever needed to normalize something it’s this
