I've seen photos of cherry red morphs before, but I was not aware of the name they are typically referred to by until now. This is really fascinating!!

Species: Red Fox (Vuples Vulpes)

Color Morph: Cherry Red (AABB)

Possible in nature: Yes

Cherry Red is just a variation of the natural red fox color. The easiest way to identify a cherry red fox is the deep red color and the lack of white fur in the inner ear.

Dating a digimon would be weird because maybe you met and fell in love when they were a cyborg ninja wolfman or a big booby goth demon but sometimes they lose a fight with a mechagodzilla or a cthulhu and now you have to raise your hot monster girlfriend/boyfriend back up from a small boneless chinchilla.

<3 digimon reblogge honestly an amazing summary of part of the appeal for Digimon (in my opinion at least) I think part of why Digimon resonated with me slightly more in some ways than Pokemon in my teenage years was because of this idea like having just one monster companion but can change into multiple (temporary) forms dont get me wrong the concept of having a party of monsters in Pokémon is fun (and I know some Digimon media has had that too) I just love the idea of a monster bestie who can evolve into a bunch of species with a sometimes at-best tenuous link between forms lol also Tentomon is my favourite I LOVE MY ZAPPY BEETLE DORK FRIEND

A reference or bio sheet for Pepper, my sona. They are appear as a silver/melanistic morph red fox (Vulpes vulpes), with an elognated, tube-like body and a pair of scutigeromorph centipede-like legs emering from their thick fur. The hand-lettered text on the sheet specifies the following (summarised):

*Pepper seems to be a red fox (Vulpes vulpes), though this is somewhat ambiguous, with their pronouns are gender neutral, being they/them. Their gender has specified as agender or as a "dog-vixen-vixen-dog". Pepper is said to be very shy and lives "inside an old computer in a forest"

*Pepper has a large number of scutigeromorph limbs concealed under their thick fur coat, as well as a myraid of symbiotic arthropods such as ticks and fleas, living in their fur.

*They also have a pair of markings, one on each of their hindlegs, just above the femur of each of them; the markings resemble a Tamagotchi fused with the cephalothorax of a tick. Pepper can also distort their body shape and attain a worm-like form.

*Pepper has a special "extra sense" that allows them to detect when a virtual pet toy is abandoned, so that they may rush to the scene to rescue it!

*Pepper likes: bugs and foxes, moss, foliage, plushes, parasitic crustaceans, virtual pets, meaty or sweet, fruity foods (beetle jelly pots especially!), old CRT televisions (broken ones, specifically!) and rain.
*Pepper dislikes: loud noise, crowds of humans, metallic noises, cloudless daylight and getting saltwater in their fur.
