🧿 create an aura so powerful that all shady ass energy directed at you naturally bounces back to it’s original source.🧿

“There is a luxury in self-reproach. When we blame ourselves, we feel that no one else has a right to blame us. It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution.”

These are some things that I consider red flags in witches I have come across before:
Believes only women can be witches.
Believes that magic/spirituality/energy/crystals can cure mental illness, physical illness, chronic illness, and disorders.
Doesn't respect closed paths or practices.
Tells others how their paths should be.
Won't stop telling witches they need to protect themselves from deities.
Thinks they are more powerful than anyone else, won't stop talking about how powerful they are.
Judges all witches with Wiccan rules.
Treats baby witches like they are somehow idiots and don't deserve respect.
Calls themselves a fancy title without being able to back it up.
Thinks hereditary witches are more powerful/better than first generation witches.
These are just a few I've noticed. If you know of any others, add them in reblogs or replies!
Magick is just noticing the energy in the tiniest of things, things most people take for granted.
Generally speaking, pet safety is important when it comes to hoarding plants and herbs, and cats in particular have extremely finicky little digestive systems. They’re obligate carnivores, so you should pretty much assume that you should keep them out of your planty stuff just in general. But here’s a list of potential spell ingredients that are particularly hard on our little black cat friends:
This is probably the most toxic vegetable group to cats. Even a small amount eaten can make them very sick and affect their red blood cell count.
This can be a confusing one because German chamomile is generally safe for pets but English/Garden/True chamomile can cause a lot of problems for both cats and dogs, even sometimes allergic reactions.
This can give cats skin reactions if they rub against it.
It’s pretty well known that chocolate is really toxic to both cats and dogs.
This again depends on the type of lily, but honestly your best bet is to avoid all of them. Easter lilies in particular are extremely dangerous for cats. Even just breathing the pollen can cause kidney failure.
This is another where you’ll want to take your cat to the vet immediately if they ingest any because even small amounts of alcohol can be deadly. Raw doughs that contain yeast will basically become alcohol in their bellies.
These ones aren’t as deadly but they will give your cat the shits.
Unfortunately your cat can’t toke, I know, this is a tragedy.
Can cause kidney failure.
Yes, our favorite banishing leaf will also banish your cat’s bowels. This is another diarrhea joke.
These flowers and houseplants can also be deadly to cats. Generally speaking, if you have cats, you should always research a houseplant before bringing it into your home, because these guys will often find a way to munch on them. It’s also helpful to keep houseplants away from curious cat level.
Pine needles aren’t really toxic to cats, but they’re dangerous for a cat to eat anyway because, well… they’re sharp and they could poke your cat’s insides if they swallow them. It’s grim to think about, so please be careful.
These are bad for your little friend’s liver.
PLEASE keep your cat out of your oils. They should not be ingesting any of that. Even strong smells and smoke cleansing can be hard on them, so be careful if you’re burning anything with them in the room.
This is by no means an exhaustive list (I mean it, cats are just notoriously averse to plants), but I tried to cover some of the particularly dangerous and common ones. A good rule of thumb is to 1) always research the plants you have around the house and 2) just straight up try to keep your cat out of herbs and non-meat foods and stuff like that. It’s just better to play it safe with these nosy little beasts!

honestly the human brain is so small that you *will* forget how much beauty there is out there to experience unless you leave your house every three days. ik its fucked up but i promise its true
As I'm in the process of reconnecting with witchcraft after being not so dedicated for the last two years, there are things I'm being mindful of as I read books as research and wait for some supplies I ordered to be delivered (just coz I wanna do some crafty stuff, not that you need supplies for witchcraft!). Here are some things I've been up to:
Lighting a candle or more everyday and feeling it's warmth and watching it for the fire element
Lighting an incense stick every few days and watching the smoke and taking in the smell. Opening my window wide and smelling the air outside whether it's sunny or raining. For the air element
Being more mindful of how water cleanses and feels when I wash my hands or shower. Drinking more water. For the water element
Researching on herbs and flowers by reading green witchcraft books. Making plans for indoor plants, even if they're fake because of responsibilities and cat. Plans to check the front yard for any herbs my mum may have planted there before she moved. Incorporating more herbs and spices in my food and drinks. Drinking tea. For the earth element
A few minutes of meditation and non screen time. Thinking about my belief and forming it. Working on the arrangement of my altar and making plans for it. Rolling crystals around in my hand as I do uni work. Being more mindful of what I say and my intentions. For the spirit element
Setting up sun water to charge on the windowsill during the day with crystals and the sun tarot card. For Solar and water
Looking into the current moon phase on my side of the world and what to do during it (currently waning crescent for me!). Aligning my goals and intentions with the moon phase. For Lunar and spirit
Despite me having a giant shopping list of things I want to get over time to make things and do spells, and books I want to get physical copies of for taking notes and referring to, right now I'm finding ways I have at home to connect with the elements, especially work on my relationship with earth as one I've neglected previously but now want to focus on as a green witchling, and work on my belief.
Blessed Be!
