This post is for anyone who needs protection. As you cut chords, it can be worrisome and create anxiety. You are protected, cared for, and loved by the universe. No one can cause you harm going forward, and your ancestors or guides will take care of them.

Color correspondence lists are only as useful as they resonate with you. If you intensely hate yellow, it is not going to represent happiness effectively in your spellwork. If healing is blue and calm instead of green and lively for you, you're not wrong. These things are not truly universal--they bear cultural and personal meaning.

As I've said before, I use red for boundaries, and it works damned well for me. It might not for you, though. Try to make your own list of color correspondences, instead of assuming one in a book or on someone's blog is perfect for you.

Speaking as a religious witch? Nobody is saying you're not allowed to include deities in your witchcraft practice for just a witchcraft practice, without a religious practice alongside it.

But for the love of all things holy, at least show some respect for the religions which these deities are from, for their origins, for the people and cultures for whom they have or had once been such important parts of their lives.

These are gods that are thousands of years old, who have impacted human civilizations and influenced humanity. And some of you are for reals treating them like witchy collectibles.

How to Set Intentions

Always in witchcraft there is going to be a spell or ritual that asks you to set your intentions in order to reach the goal desired. We always hear “set your intentions”, but we never get to hear how to set your intentions. Here, I’m going to give you a step by step guide on how to set your intentions for rituals, spells and anything else that requires your focus.

1. Write down your primary ideas for what you want your intention to be about

Example:  I want to be rich, I want to be able to buy things without worry of money, I want to have more tangible assets

2. Analyze your ideas for common themes. What is the main goal you are trying to reach?

Example: Money, Abundance, Wealth

3. Use the themes found to identify your intention. Always be as precise as possible.

Example: I will have an abundance of money, I will have excess cash to live comfortably

4. Write your intention on a specific piece of paper with as few words as possible, but be very specific.

These simple steps will allow you to understand how to set your intentions in an exact manner which will strengthen any spell or ritual you plan on doing. I hope this helped. Thank you for reading!

Trust the trees - have faith.

Bees in the brain - you're being dumb.

Run the rabbit round the rose bush - if it sounds to good to be true then it is.

All bone and brimstone - very bad news

Knock on wood - hope the good spirits in trees keep you safe.

A cat may look a king - a person is not what they seem.

The vixen's bite is always right - always trust your instincts.

Don't be a dillweed - don't be a jerk.

A watched pot never boils - take your mind off things, time will pass anyway.

Don't be a honey badger - don't be badger/bug others.

Sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth - beware that person might seem sweet but they aren't.

As fit as a butcher's dog - doing very well.

Wise as a witch's cat - very smart.

That's a rat king if I ever saw one - that person is no good.

Don't sell me the devil's dog - don't lie to me.

Seeing snakes - being in extreme fear.

By hook or by crook - any means necessary.

Like a bluebells kiss - something or someone who is good or sweet.

Did you kindle the brindle cat? - did you do something foolish?

Oh my stars - another form of " oh my "
