"I suppose, in a sense".

"I'm also a writer"
A shot of Kim Dokja from the back. He is standing on a path made out of screens-tiles, each depicting a scene. Closest to him are a scene of his companions calling out to him and a scene of unconcious Yoo Joonghyuk sleeping somewhere. Further aways, disappearing in the dark, are two female silhouettes, possibly Lee Sookyung and Han Sooyoung back on Earth.

"Worse than a proper one"
Two bright white parallel lines - two bridges extend into the dark, never getting close. Kim Dokja stands close to the lower edge of the art, watching someone standing on the other path far away, also wearing a white coat.

"With my hands accustomed to turning pages"
The text sits in the screen of Kim Dokja's phone held by his crumbling hands.

"Not filling them"
That text, in contrast, is printed on a stack of pages held by different hands, with painted black nails and different type of scars.

"My heart as well"
A close up of Kim Dokja's face, looking down. There is no heavy shadow over his face, yet his mouth are not drawn. Despite that, his eyes look dull, sad.

"Accustomed to seeing"
A reflection of younger Kim Dokja in an old pc screen. He looks down, just as sad and disheartened as his older self. There are pages visible on the screen.

"But not participating"
A shot from inside the train carrier. Hands claw at the closed doors, leaving bloody traces on the glass. It's Kim Dokja's crumbling hands. Behind the glass there is a night sky.

"Maybe that is why"
Kim Dokja is sitting on a train seat with his legs, looking to the right. He is wearing his stark wjite coat, and looks empty. He is surrounded by an empty void, all alone in the space he is in.

"Their expressions are hard to pin down"
A mirror image of the previous one, but this Kim Dokja is looking at his companions, who surround him. They all sit on grass, with a darkening sky above them. Still, all the faces of Kim Dokja's companions are hidden as if drawn over with a pen.

"If i never experience that strong of a feeling"
Kim Dokja at the end of the 1863 arc, from the back, hunched down with his black wings framing his back. His horns are crumbling, and so does the black star of a constellation above his head.

"How can i put it on a page?"
A mirror image of Kim Dokja from the first page - but now it's Han Sooyoung looking down on Kim Dokja with her face hidden under a heavy shadow, her expression impossible to pin down. She is wearing a bright white coat.

"A story written by someone that inadequate"
A page almost fully black. In the upper left corner, there is barely visible figure of young Han Sooyoung in front of a computer screen, typing. On her chair there's barely visible hand of the Dokkaebi king. Only whatever is bathed in the light of the screen is visible.

"Surely it's not a read you would approve of"
A similarly almost completely black page. In contrats with the text, a happy Kim Dokja, visible in the light of his phone, sits in a hospital bed. An IV drip is visible next to him, with the bags going from seemingly normal one to Story fluid the higher they sit.
Full text says:
"I suppose, in a sense... I'm also a writer, worse than a proper one, with my hands accustomed to turning pages, not filling them. My heart, as well, accustomed to seeing, but not participating. Maybe that is why their expressions are hard to pin down. If i never experience that strong of a feeling, how can i put it on a page? A story written by someone that inadequate... dear people with OCD: the next time you have spiraling & intrusive thoughts, what-ifs, or catastrophizing scenarios, I am sending a cardigan-wearing 46-year old NYU professor directly into your brain and he says "Aaaaand scene!!!" and he claps his hands slowly. and he says "Wow. Wow. Powerful stuff. Evocative imagery. A little bit post-modern, a little bit hysterical realism in the vein of Don Delilo but let's pause right here." and you will recognize your thoughts as a perplexing avant-garde film shown to an audience of 15 liberal arts students who are now trying to get a good grade and sleep with their professor.

My friend who didn't even reach chapter 400 of TCF asked me why I love ogCale so much ?

I told her every single reason why I love ogCale so much. And I don't love him after reading chapter 656, I have loved him since chapter 1 !

The reasons I loved him before reading chapter 656 are:

His face! He looks like an angel. I started reading TCF after seeing his face!

He never hurts anyone physically.

He hates gangsters and scammers.

He respects women and defends them (according to wiki).

He doesn't create problems for his step family.

He comforted his father after Jour's death (he was between 5-8 years old)

Unlike other 2 faced nobles, he is true to himself.

He isn't greddy for powers or titles.

He never shouted or raised hands at Basen

And the reasons I loved him after reading chapter 656 and side story are:

He understands krsCale so well. He never let any misunderstanding happen when they talked.

His smile is very bright despite what he went through.

He destroyed his reputation for his step family at the age of 8.

He kept acting nonstop for 10-12 years.

He survived 20 years in the middle of the war.

He showed director Mia her/his place. (Director Mia harassed krsCale quite a lot)

He truly wishes krsCale to live happily and peacefully.

He told krsCale how he could avoid being the duke.

He took care of krsCale' responsibility despite the fact that he can easily avoid it.

His eyes were shaking when he heard Choi Jung Soo is dead. Means he actually cares about the dead people.

He can do anything for his family and still cares about them.

He didn't insult Harris villagers because he is a heartless person, but rather, he was also hurt (It's not justification but explanation)

Because of him, krsCale now fully accepted his new identity.

He is very elegant and noble-like.

But when it's needed, he becomes a a cool trash.

Most importantly, he let krsCale dig his mom' grave and let krsCale have Jour' power.

All of the TCF characters are tragic. Like KRS, Choi Han, Raon, Alberu, Mary and everyone else.

But I can relate with ogCale more than I can with anyone else.

He lost his mother at the age of 5-8. Instead of mourning himself, he comforted his father. Then when his step family came, instead of creating problems for them, he destroyed his reputation for them. He also kept his distance from his family for their own shake despite the fact that he loves them dearly . He also gave up his birth right for Basen.

Despite doing so much for everyone around him, he lost his family. Instead of hiding from the war, he participated in the war to avenge his family. He knew he could die but he still kept fighting.

Then after doing so much, he agreed to let his place taken by a stranger. When everyone got a second chance, he didn't get any. When everyone forgot all the pain they suffer in the 1st timeline, he still remembers it.

It would be easy to do so when his family was dead. But now that he knows they are alive, isn't it pure torture that he can't meet with them?

Maybe he wished for a very long time so that his family would come back alive. Now that they are alive, he isn't allowed to see them.

Now he is taking care of a unknown child and a team he has no connection with.

He never lived his life for himself.

1st for his father after Jour's death.

Then for his step family.

Then to avenge his family and territory.

Finally, for a his niece and team.

He never lives for his own shake!

Fell in love with the storyline

Got Plopped In A Ghost Story, You Still Gotta Work: A Visual Primer For English Speakers

The premise:
Kim Soleum is a wiki contributor for a Creepypasta wiki/SCP Foundation wiki pastiche. While visiting a pop-up shop, he's sucked into the universe of this horror wiki to be recruited by the evil corporation faction. The problem? He is a born and bred coward, and the only way home is buying a wish ticket with his company credits. Which means participating in high-fatality horror stories.
The solution? Speedrunning the horror stories before anything super scary happens.

In summary: SCP Isekai. Ghost Story Work is a serial horror where creepypastas are treated as escape rooms with increasingly dangerous stakes, and the main character has to carefully design a persona his coworkers will allow to do insane suicidal gambits he learned from the wiki.

SETTING:
Daydream Co. Ltd.
A pharmaceutical company that uses Monsters Inc-esque collectors that process the horror story as a base for their potions. Exploration squads are expected to die for this material, baited by having a wish fulfilled. Uses their animal masks for codenames.

Disaster Management Bureau
The analogue to the SCP foundation. A government agency tasked with containing and eliminating the paranormal. There is no trolley problem; obviously you must kill one to save five. Uses noun codenames.

Church of the Luminous Unknown
A mysterious cult that absorbs the paranormal into themselves in order to reach true enlightenment.

CHARACTERS:
Kim Soleum: Alias Roe Deer, though he has a weird wood mask. Main character. Coward, meek salaryman, and gifted actor who's greatest skill is thinking under stress. Not really cognizant of his extremely heroic qualities because his foreknowledge makes things easier. Sleek and relatively good-looking.

Go Yeongeun: Alias Goral. A gentle, calm, and focused woman who dropped out of med school. First to meet Kim Soleum, but ended up in a different squad.

Baek Saheon: Alias Goat. Comes off as easygoing and naive, but is actually ruthless and vicious, preying on other's weaknesses. Because he's so scary, Kim Soleum has decided to act like a sociopath to scare him off. It's working a little too well.

Lee Jaheon: Alias Lizard. A lizard. Manager for D-squad. Everyone but Kim Soleum sees a sleek and handsome face; it's unclear why he is a lizard. The ideal boss. Resolves ghost stories by beating the shit out of them.

Eun Haje: Alias Falcon. Assistant Manager of D-squad. Jaded but friendly, Kim Soleum's first coworker. Tries to make things easy on the new recruit.

Park Minseong: Alias Badger. Supervisor of D-squad. Beefy, good-natured, and lackadaisical about how fast the company will kill you.

Braun: An eldritch abomination that runs a talk show where if you get it wrong, you die! Later gets summoned into a keychained-sized ghost doll and is a delighted audience to Kim Soleum's stunts.

Jin Nasol: Alias Butterfly. A member of the elite A-squad. Cutthroat and quick to kill, but prioritizes efficiency.

Jang Heo-un: Alias Boar. Squeamishness with gore led him to be treated as disposable by the company.

Ryu Jaekwan: Alias Bronze. An officer of the Disaster Management Bureau. Serious, by-the-books, and working for the good of all. Easily moved by acts of kindness.

J3: Security team of one. None of his business.

This took me a week. I did this for ORV like 4 years ago so it felt like my moral obligation to make one again.

Some notes on character designs and images without text:

Gorals and domestic goats look very different, but in Manor of the Blind attention is put into how these two are similar and contrasting, the truly noble Go Yeongeun with the white goat and the sinister Baek Saheon with the black goat. I also picked a literal goral instead of a mountain goat (which are naturally white) because gorals look more like roe deers than goats, making the 3 of them more closely linked.

Because this is a horror novel and unnatural features aren't mentioned, I tried to keep this as grounded as possible. Sorry to the three WHABs I eliminated in cold blood ⭐

Another hardliner of of grounded designs is Jin Nasol, who gets the most ostentatious anime character treatment besides Jay in fanart. She is coldly utilitarian and prizes efficiency over all else, there is no way that woman has bangs

I am not giving Park Minseong brown hair. There is nothing wrong with a good warm black

Lee Jaheon is often depicted as an adorable little newt in fanart, but a huge part of why he is so hysterical is that he is scary, so I picked more intimidating lizard traits so he functions in both dramatic heroic scenes and eating granola bars with the wrappers still on. He gets to keep the newt mask though

I gave Braun white gloves at first but I saw a Braun cosplayer and a demon possessed me. I have no idea what colour is canon. who doesnt love black leather

Making Jang Heo-un the "sharp eyes meek personality" trope made my brain light up so good. I was trying to contrast with the relaxed eyes of the easygoing Park Minseong to make them more obviously different but this feels cosmically correct
