That's just an incentive to make comments like that.
I imagine most of the OCs of a Chaos fan (and there's more than a few of those) would be heretics, and that most of the OCs of a Xenos fan, would in fact be xenos. You just need to find your crowd.
I mean, I'm an Imperium fan and I'm working on a Chaos OC (more a warband of them, since my main focus in this fandom is the game).
Stray thought. Is everyone's 40k oc a loyalist?
I've seen space marines, primarchs, sisters of battle, rogue traders, and so on. They all seem to be loyal to the imperium.
Have I isolated myself by creating a character who isn't a loyalist? Who is, in fact, a heretic?
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. I've reloaded the gun and shot the other foot as well!
The first of my japanese-style battle-barges is pretty much done. I might do some touching-up later (and frankly the cell-shading could use some work), but the modelling is pretty much done.
Tumblr already has a personalization algorithm it's called my beloved mutuals who have great taste and only wish to psychologically damage me sometimes
Listen, if he's comfortable enough to come out of the closet, we should let him.
i hope i am
He is one of many characters that gets reduced to a joke in meme lore.
Hell, I'm not even sure if this one is entirely TTS's fault, too. He's pretty menacing there if you think about it for a nonzero amount of time.
I have reposted the girlfail-post, because it's fun and I got a laugh out of it, but my more earnest opinion is: Lucius is incredibly successful.
Some of his accomplishments without any claim to completeness:
Beating the Mournival in consecutive duels (Loken cheated by Emperor's Children-standards, so fuck him)
He's made Captain in a perfectionist Legion of Aristocrats, despite hailing from gladiatorial pits.
He made Palatine Blade - elite of the elite
He organized a coup against Fulgrim, because he wanted the demon out and survived (by staying mostly out of it, but that shows that he has a brain indeed)
He impressed Slaanesh enough to become his Champion.
He impressed Fulgrim enough the Primarch strongarmed Fabius into reviving Lucius.
He impressed Ahriman enough the Chief Librarian kept him as bodyguard/killer (and didn't betray him - a rare occurance with Ahriman).
He isn't the most social guy, yet he became leader of a rather successful warband.
He killed a Bloodthirster (with the help of his Raptors, but still!)
40k Fulgrim uses him as his personal hitman.
He had fun fighting and killing in Commorragh (he got asked to leave).
And that's just from the top of my head. Lucius is one of the most successful, ruthless Chaos Marines still in existence.
We posting pride flags? Here's my femboy command squad for my Sons of the Phoenix.
They're, uh, definitely sons of Dorn.
Actually, even more wild is the number of TERFs looking at this post and thinking "This post agrees with me". I am literally asking for a space where people respect other peoples' gender identities. A person who defines their political stance on how they don't respect certain people's genders is not welcome in such a place.
Call it queer infighting, but I feel like a safe space for GNC people should not have people who insist that being GNC is a pipeline to being trans.
I love how, in any sane setting, the T'au would be The Villains, capital T capital V, but in 40k they're about the closest the setting gets to "good guys". They're an expansionist colonial empire that tries to force their ideology on everyone they meet and exterminates the people they deem incompatible with it, and somehow, because 40k is just that fucked up, they are one of the more reasonable factions in the galaxy.
Thinking about it, their argument and attitude are even more comparable to anti-woke grifters than I originally thought. They're both based in a premise that canon doesn't change, and they're both insisting that their interpretation of the lore which ignores what canon has explicitly stated is canon-compliant because of it.
I've got no problem with people ignoring lore that they think is dumb. I did that with female Custodes before they got added in. I do have a problem with people doing it and claiming that it's a valid interpretation of the lore.
The funny thing is they've basically got the opposite stance on FSM. One says they can't exist ever, because lore, one says they do exist and always have, because lore.
Damn, AI *is* getting smarter!
