Runes! This was an assignment to create a set of flashcards that would appeal to kids and adults for my Type 1 class. They each have the rune symbol, the name of the rune, the meaning in English, the meaning (roughly translated by google, thanks google) in Norwegian, and a little icon I made. I made the big rune characters, but the display font is Comic Runes by takuminokami on Font Space (thanks internet). The cards are 3 inches by 4.5 inches.
Also please don’t yell at me if the meanings of these are wrong, my research was not particularly scholarly. (Once again, thanks internet :p)
What kind of things do I need to make an altar?
This is a traditional wiccan altar setup. That being said it doesnt have to look like this. An altar is a place for YOU to connect with your deities and perform your craft. What ever you feel is right
Need:
1. pen and paper 2. cayenne pepper (passion/protection) 3. red pepper flakes (passion/protection) 4. chili powder (passion/protection) 5. cinnamon (success) 6. vanilla beans (positivity) 7. coffee grounds (dispels negativity) 8. one jar 9. red string (passion/strength) 10. yellow string (happiness)
Steps:
1. Write down on a piece of paper everything that you’re afraid of and want to overcome. Afterwords fold it up.
2. Then place the cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes and chili powder in the jar. Bury the piece of paper inside the peppers visualizing all of your fears, second guesses and doubts burning away and being replaced with a firey passion, courage and motivation.
3. Next, put in the cinnamon for success in overcoming your fears. Put in vanilla beans for positivity and then coffee grounds to dispel any negativity. When you’re done screw on the cap and say:
“Heart of a lion, these fears I will overcome. The days of me second guessing myself are done. Courage and strength will be my aid, my friends. I will be the one to win in the end.”
4. After, tie on the yellow string and then the red. Place the jar where you can see it. Touch it, hold it, etc whenever you need a reminder to be brave.
Hi there! This spell was requested by callmeharley012, who has an irrational fear of bugs and the dark. This spell is meant to help you find courage and bravery as well as wash away fears. Enjoy!
What you’ll need:
Thyme (For courage and strength) (If needed, some good substitutes for thyme in this spell include oregano, fennel, and rosemary.)
Clean water
A bowl or container of some sort to hold the water
A shower or bath
What you do:
Taking the thyme, charge it with your energy and sprinkle it into the water. Visualize the power of the thyme soaking into the water, infusing it with courage and strength. If you want to give the spell an extra boost, you could leave it out to absorb the energy of the moon or sun. When you feel that the water has fully absorbed the energy of the thyme, remove the thyme from the water (you can use a strainer for this, or you can pick the thyme out if the pieces are large enough and there aren’t very many of them).
Run a shower or bath at a comfortable temperature. While you are in the shower or bath, take the charged water and use it to rinse your body. The energy of the water soaks into your skin, filling your with courage, and it washes away your fears. When the water is gone, leave the shower and dry yourself off.
Repeat this spell as needed to maintain your courageousness and keep fear at bay.
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed and you find this helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an ask.
