headcanon that Varian picks up on a few ingavarrian swears solely cuz he hears Hugo mutter them all the goddamn time. Does he know what it even really means in slang terms? Who knows—but it totally takes Hugo off guard to hear the other alchemist say it out loud directly at him one particular time when he was exceptionally pissed at his lil shit antics. He truly never fails to surprise the blond
Can we talk about Eugene's growth. He started as a selfish thief who feels alienated from everyone and once he decided to do the right thing by saving Rapunzel he still thinks he is an outsider not worthy of compassion.
It was until Arianna, a person he barely personally knew offered him a hand and pulled him to a hug, accepting him despite not knowing a thing about him.
And now Eugene, after unlearning his selfishness and tendency to run from problems, matured knowing he is loved and is willing to take responsibility for the people he loves. And now it is him who gets offer love and compassion to Cass, who feels fearful of being undeserving of it after what she has done.
Eugene used to live thinking he didn't deserve love and compassion, and now he's the one offering love and compassion.

I know the animation industry has been going through a serious rough patch in the past 10 years. I just hope the medium and the artists making it can get the respect they deserve someday soon. So I wanna take a moment to spread a reminder of the powerful emotional scenes we've gotten from animation in the past 10 years.
oh damn, I just thought they paused production. That's actually kinda funny. The live action remake reign of terror is over guys!!
Suppose Tangled did have a sequel in the future. In that case, they'll probably de-canonise Tangled the series/Rapunzel's tangled adventure like replacing Varian with a female or an elderly alchemist, or that one book called "What Once was Mine: A Twisted Tale" where Cassandra was replaced with a thief named Gina. Or the book titled "Mother Knows Best: A Tale of the Old Witch" based on Mother Gohtel. Where it doesn't reference Gothel being part of the Zhan Tiri followers, or the new book coming next year called Rootbound: A Tangled Novel, where it wouldn't base its novel on the series. But maybe because the author wanted to do their own take on the movie, and not bases off a show. Varian and the seven kingdoms (Cancelled idea for a spinoff of the series) are already scrapped and would probably be the project that Disney's portfolio of scrapped and abandoned projects. And the spinoff for Tangled the series will probably be Eugene and Lance, or Cassandra.
yong's a feral little shit in the adorable way yes but also he's twelve. he's going to act twelve and twelve year olds are notoriously horrible let him be twelve please please please he's not five
I have no thoughts other than library depression now. I don't even know how a library can be depressed, but it is.
I think Varian should call Hugo “Blondie” but kind of unintentionally. It just comes out. He’s so used to hearing Eugene affectionately refer to his beloved partner as Blondie, that when Varian and Hugo become close, he too begins to affectionately refer to Hugo as Blondie.
He’s not intentionally trying to copy Eugene, he doesn’t even realize what he’s doing, until he does it in front of him- and dies of embarrassment. Rapunzel thinks it’s adorable though.
And even if Eugene vehemently hates Hugo at the time, he can’t help but be a little fond of how he rubbed off on Varian.
Varigo shipper like me are hungry for Hugo to wear a green dress
Why are you so cool
Wait- I'm cool? Really?!
Me personally, I only really consider the version of Vat7k I made in my head using both mine and a ton of other people's headcanons and ideas. Planning on writing it someday soon
I personally think Disney can suck it, it’s canon to me <3333
