Finally finished 😭 Timelapse at the bottom! I had an idea for my Wings of Pages series, where instead of text, it's a book full of botanical illustrations. The majority of the time was spent on the individual flowers for each feather/page of the wings. I really love the look of old botanical books with the water color paintings and the scientific names written in cursive. So I spent way too many hours painting out 20 of these flower pages, and even then, it wasn't enough for the wings so I did have to duplicate some.

After Yugi loses to Kaiba in a duel he's so distraught he's akumatized into Star Stealer. He can turn anyone whose shot with his star canon into gold stars he then places in a container on his back. He nearly changes everyone into stars with all that is left if Tea and Nekoba. She's able to talk him down long enough for Neko to swoop in and break him free.

Yugi blames himself for his weakness and for lying to everyone, he finally reveals to his friends he's Red Beetle. And of course all of them accept him and ensure him his weaknesses don't detract from his actions as a hero.

Tikal in my Sonic AU!

Long ago, Tikal was the third child of the great Echidna Empire. Born a rare albino who was neither male nor female, they were regarded as a holy figure sent by the Chaos Emeralds to guide the Empire to greatness. They were assigned a Guardian to protect them, one whose loyalty and love were so great that no harm could ever come to Tikal.

But Tikal had no desire for greatness, only peace. They worked closely with the ‘children of the Chaos Emeralds’, the Chao, to ensure the Emeralds’ will was being carried out. But the Chaos Emeralds slowly poisoned the minds of Tikal’s father and brothers as they used their powers for war— such a phenomenon would later be called Chaos Radiation Sickness.

When the world seemed at the brink of ruin, Tikal sacrificed themself to create the Master Emerald—the only thing capable of controlling the Chaos Emerald’s power. Their Guardian, inconsolable with grief, bound his soul with the Master Emerald so he would be reincarnated forevermore as its Guardian.

Now, they watch over the land by Knuckles’ side, silently admiring his loyalty throughout the centuries… Echidna Doomed Yaoi Angst 🙂‍↕️
