This is something that I very recently came to realize: that there are no wrong or right choices and that the universe just wants you to make a decision so that it can provide opportunities/doors. And that if you come to realize this, you will no longer be paralyzed by decisions - for fear of making the wrong one. So I thought this might help, and I had mentioned it in the new pick a card post. :)

β’ what are states? + examples
β’ how to know what state youβre in?
β’ how to switch states? + steps
β’ neville on states
β ππππ πππ ππππππ Ι
A state is your beliefs, your attitude and where you dwell. Thoughts and actions are determined by your state. There are infinite states. Everyone, including you, is always in a state, whether it be desired or not. But remember that you can ALWAYS change states no matter what. In fact, states change often within a day! Keep in mind, states are NOT emotions! You donβt need emotions to manifest, you just need to be in the state that matches you having your desire. Lastly, techniques don't manifest but your state does.
β ππππππππ Ι
- state of love β state of hate
- state of wealth β state of poverty
- state of health β state of sickness
- state of stupidity β state of intelligence
- state of being married β state of being divorced
- etc β¦
β πππ ππ ππππ ππππ ππππππ πππβππ ππ Ι
Look at your 3D reality; external reality. What do you see? Whatever you see, whether itβs undesired or desired, is your state. Use your physical reality (3D) as a guide to see what states you are in. You can also check your inner conversations to see what state it implies.
Letβs identify your state as of right now regarding your desire. I want you to be completely honest β donβt be defensive and donβt make any excuses: What are your thoughts usually? Are you the person that has your desires and naturally thinks like: "I am so grateful for having what I want, etc." OR are you the person that is trying to get their desire and naturally thinks like: "I did all these methods, I affirmed, it should work. but where is it? why isn't it working? let me watch more videos on how to manifest, let me ask blogs for help, etc." β As I said before, thoughts and actions like the ones above are determined by your state. It doesn't matter if you did SATs, it doesnβt matter if you affirmed for 1 hour, it doesnβt matter what technique you used, because if you are still in the state of lack then it only means that you are ACKNOWLEDGING THAT YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR DESIRE; and when you are in a state of lack, your desires will not show up in the 3D, because as within, so without.
But hey, donβt beat yourself up if you have been persisting in the state of lack. Itβs okay. Letβs focus on changing states!
β Don't condemn yourself for the state into which you have fallen. If you don't like it, move into another. Don't feel sorry for yourself, for if you do, you will make the state a habit and remain there for the rest of your days on earth. Instead, you can believe this doctrine and move out of any state. β - Neville Goddard
β πππ ππ ππππππ ππππππ Ι
1. PICK A STATE β΅
- Have a clear goal in mind and know what state is connected with having it. For example, if youβre manifesting a car, then you should be in the state of a car owner. Another example is if youβre manifesting to have kids / get pregnant, you should be in the state of a mom. And so on β¦
2. EMBODY IT: live in the end or knowing β΅
Living in the end or knowing should not feel like βpretending.β You live in the end or knowing when you know that you have your desire and you think and act as the person that has it already. You stop obsessively thinking about it, you stop trying to get it and you stop noticing the lack of it in the 3D. I recommend you to often ask yourself βif my desire was here now, would I be doing this or thinking this?β Lastly, you can use techniques / methods to help you live in the end or knowing (SATs, interview method, etc β¦) You can live in the end or knowing without techniques. However, it helps people a lot to live in the end / knowing, so I recommend it!
- regarding techniques: βοΈ do not see them as techniques, but see them as reality. for example, SATs; when you do SATs, you shouldnβt see it as just visualizing your desire, but as something you know is reality, like the shirt youβre wearing; you know youβre wearing it. Another example, affirming; don't affirm with the intention of making it happen because you are not affirming in order to get something, affirming is you declaring you having your desire. You should have that same knowing / βfeeling it as realβ while you do any technique!
β You must mentally adjust your thoughts to proceed from the desired state, all within yourself. You fell into your present state either deliberately or unwittingly; and because you are its life, the state became alive and grew like a tree, bearing its fruit which you do not like. Its fruit may be that of poverty, or distress, heartache, or pain. There are all kinds of unlovely fruit. But you can detach yourself from your unlovely harvest by making an adjustment in your human imagination. β - Neville Goddard
3. PERSIST β΅
Listen man, you gotta apply and persist, because at the end of the day, only YOU can get yourself out of the undesired state. Itβs not your fault for how things are now, but you have to take responsibility to pick yourself up and put in the work to reach your desires. You have all the tools and information available, but if you arenβt willing to put in the simple work and keep persisting, then you will remain in the undesired state.οΏΌ So, continue persisting and you shall get in your desired state. Even if it feels unnatural, keep persisting. Neville himself has said that it will at first be unnatural, but if you persist, it will become natural, SO PERSIST!
β Now most of us, knowing what we want, construct it in our minds eye, but never occupy it. We never move into the state and remain there. I call this perpetual construction, deferred occupancy. I could dream of owning a lovely home and hope to go there one day; but if I do not occupy it now, in my imagination, I postpone it to another day. I may wish my friend had a better job. I may have imagined him having it; but if I don't occupy that state by believing he is already there, I have merely constructed the state for him but not occupied it. All day long I can wish he or she were different; but if I don't go into the state and view him from it, I don't occupy the state, so he remains in the unlovely state relative to me. This is the world in which we live β - Neville Goddard
4. YOUR STATES CHANGE β΅
This isnβt really a step, but just the result of steps 1-3! Your state will naturally change after living in the end or knowing and when you persist in that state, your desire will come into fruition in the 3D. How do you know if you changed your state? Well, youβll completely become the person that HAS the desire. Your first and last thought will naturally be in line of having that desire. Your daily thoughts, not affirming but your autopilot thoughts, will be as if you have your desire. You will notice yourself naturally making room for your desires. You don't question or feel weird about any of this. The feeling of knowingness is heavily present, just like how you know your name, how you know youβre wearing a shirt right now, etc. From that state you will no longer notice lack, and you won't feel the need to do techniques.
Before anyone says something like: βIβm expressing a state of success, yet I am still not successful πβ β¦ Um. No. You are not expressing a state of success because you are still dwelling in a state of unsuccessfulness; this applies to any desire, not just success!
living in the end or knowing -> desired state -> desired 3D
β πππππππ ππ ππππππ Ι
β I simply mean a certain attitude of mind. Well, I mean that state or that attitude of mind to which I must constantly return constitutes my dwelling place. And so I dwell in it. So if night after night I dwell in the feeling of feeling sorry for myself, thatβs my state. β
β So, when I speak of states I am speaking of states of consciousness, attitudes of mind which create a body of belief. β
β I urge you to use your own wonderful creative power and deliberately move into the state of your choice. Make it now by occupying the state long enough so that it feels natural. Haven't you had a suit of clothes that felt so new you were conscious of them every moment? I know when I bought my first suit I walked down Fifth Avenue thinking everyone I passed knew my suit was new. People passing paid no attention to me, but I was so aware, so conscious of my new suit. That's exactly that happens when you move into a new state. If the state of affluence is new, you think everyone knows it, but no one knows or cares whether you are rich or poor, so walk in the state until it becomes natural. The moment the feeling is natural, wealth is yours! β
β Your attitude need not be towards another, but an attitude regarding self. β
β I paid thirty dollars for my first suit. Today a suit will cost me $200.00, but regardless of the cost, when the suit is new I am aware of it. But let me wear it long enough for it to feel natural and I will no longer be conscious of it. The same is true for a state. You may desire the state of fame. If you will think you are famous and remain conscious of the state long enough to make it natural, as the thoughts flow from you they become a natural part of your body of beliefs, and the world will proclaim your fame. β
β You don't have to remain in a state if you have made a mistake. You can change states morning, noon, and night, but the state to which you most constantly return constitutes your dwelling place. β
β the state, the attitude of mind to which you most constantly return, constitutes your dwelling place. If you dwell in self- pity you will express the state β
β If we do not know weβre always expressing a state, then we identify ourselves with the state, and we say βI am poor or I am rich, I am known or I am unknown, I am wanted, I am unwantedβ and we go on indefinitely because there are unnumbered states into which we fall. β
β You can satisfy self by appropriating the feeling that you are what you want to be. And this assumption though false, that is, although reason and the senses deny it, if persisted in will harden into fact β
β Now, while weβre here in states, you can change in a twinkle of an eye, change the state. But the chances are you are not going to remain in that change, for it is also made up of a body of beliefs. So if I actually now operate morning, noon and night from a certain base which is my body of beliefs, the chances are tonight when I go to sleep Iβll sleep in it. I know I can get out of it, but how long will I remain out of it to make that state into which I go a natural one? β
β How do you get out of a state? Through belief! You must believe in the doctrine. You are told: "Whatsoever you desire, believe you have received it and you will." β
β Disengage yourself from the whole vast belief that you formerly entertained, and hold on in your imagination to the concept that you ARE the man that you want to beβ¦ For you will RESSURECT and make alive the state that began only as a concept. If you remain faithful to the concept you will be led right into the fulfillment of that state. It is called, in the Bible, re-birth. β
β I will dare to assume that this thing is true. I will assume that I am now the person that I want to be; and assuming it, I will know if Iβm really persuaded by the feeling of certainty that it inspires in me. Because if it inspires that in me, I will act upon it, I will act upon that conviction. If I donβt act upon it, well then, I am not persuaded. β
highly inspired by this, this, and this post! credits to them for much of the information and some of the wording!
anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading! enjoy changing states and happy manifesting, darlings! ΰ»κ°ΰΎΰ½²β©Λ α΅ Λβ©κ±ΰΎΰ½²ΰ§§
i'm most familiar with Greco-Roman deities so i'll use them for examples, but feel free to ask me about a specific deity! which Greco-Roman deity you should work according to your birth chart indications
say "good morning" / "good night" - this is not only out of respect but developing a habit to include them more and more in day to day life
talk to them - whether you're expressing gratitude, praying, asking for advice, or even just talking to them about your day, this will show you are thinking about them and looking up to them. if you feel uncomfortable or can't talk out loud, a journal works just as well
write to them - speaking or journaling, writing is an art form they will appreciate. make journal entries to them, write them a poem or a song. it doesn't have be a fancy, even just phrases here and there will make a huge difference
document your experiences - after spending time with them, write down how it went. keep track of what they seem to like, what they tell you, even small details that don't seem to stick out because when you go back and look, they might stick out then or you might notice patterns
share your food - giving your deity a small portion of your food each time you eat is a way to communicate your honor and respect to them, and also learn what foods/drinks they enjoy
divination - this is more than just tarot cards! there's other forms of cartomancy, there's dowsing, numerology, etc. i personally use astrology <3
connect with their energy - doing activities that appeal to your deity regularly with strengthen your connection with them. for example, my deities are Diana/Artemis and Luna/Selene, so I spend a lot of time in nature, especially at night under the moonlight
research them in great detail - to get to know your deity, learn everything there is to know: names and epithets, symbols, attributes (plants trees, stones, animals, planets, week days, etc.) domains, family, popular stories and myths
cook a full meal - you can decide on a meal that is associated with them (like steak for Mars/Ares) but you don't have to, either way just dedicating time and energy to make an entire meal just for them will say a lot
altar - this is probably what you will hear the most, but don't feel heavy pressure. it doesn't have to be huge, fancy, or expensive; you can start out with literally just a candle and some leaves. slowly over time decorate and personalize it to your and your deity's liking
offerings - this is more than just sharing your food with them, it's actually giving something solely to them. have you ever been in the mood for a certain food even though you weren't hungry at all? that might be them hinting that they want it. gifts that you think they'd like or you felt called to get, including crafts you made yourself
share your worship - i want to say this is 100% not a necessity, so don't feel stressed if there is no one you can talk to about your deity work. i have no one to talk to about it, but i share freely on this blog and am trying to make friends online who i can share with! not only is sharing a way to show respect and love for them, but others can give you ideas of devotion and connection
going digital is a great way to worship and connect with your deity, especially if you cannot be open about it
make a playlist - include songs that remind you of them or that you'd think they'd like that involve their domains or stories/myths
art - literally any form of art they will appreciate. music like singing or songwriting, drawing, painting, sculpture, literature like reading books they'd like or writing stories, poems, songs, etc., dancing, theater or acting, or literally anything else. you can get specific, like learning an instrument for Apollo
exploring - exploring areas you think they'd like or just new areas in general. you might find points of interest they'd enjoy (like crossroads for Hecate), or see/hear their sacred animals, or find things that coincide with their stories/attributes/symbols
spending time with them through hobbies - the best way i can describe this is through examples: going to parties/celebrating for Bacchus/Dionysus, cleaning and taking care of your home for Vesta/Hestia, gardening for Ceres/Demeter or Proserpina/Persephone, taking care of the ocean for Neptune/Poseidon, the list goes on and on. anything that involves their domain
pinterest board - kinda self explanatory, making a pinterest board (or a physical picture board/wall if you prefer) with images of your deity and their symbols/attributes. here's mine
phone background - setting your phone background as an image or your deity is not only a sign of honor and respect, but will help you develop the habit of thinking of them regularly. can also spark conversation with others without being direct about your worship!
The moon, and her different phasesπ
Magic exists. But donβt fool yourself into seeing itΒ where it isnβt.
When yourΒ dreamΒ is about something you saw, heard or thought about in the last few days, it means nothing.
If you watched a documentary about tigers and you dream of a tiger, that is not a divine message. It is just your mind processing information.
But if you dream of being in a medieval banquet, when you have not watched an Arthurian film in months and have not thought about buffets in days, then you might be wanderingΒ in a past life.
When you are sleepy or lost in thought, and you find yourself seeing, hearing or smelling things that are not there, they mean nothing.
If you are daydreaming about going to Disneyland and you suddenly hear the sound of a carousel, you simply have an active imagination.
But if you are very focused on finishing a paper, and the words on your screen suddenly warp into the shape of a rollercoaster, then you are having a waking vision.
When the images you see are merely derived from the colors or marks on yourΒ scryingΒ instrument, then you are not scrying.
If your crystal ball has a scratch in the shape of a musical note, and you see a piano, your mind is simply thinking creatively.
But if your scrying mirror is entirely spotless, and yet from its center, you see a detailed portrait emerging, only then are you really scrying.
When what you see on your altar are slight movements that take only a moment, your god did not create them.
If you are looking at Venusβ portrait while praying to her, and you see her smile for a second, you are only imagining it.
But if you see her running her hand through her hair while you hear the soft sound of her fingers against it, then she is hearing your prayer and enjoying your presence.
2020 : Thereβs something Iβve been keeping to myself for a long time but I need to tell someone.
2020 : A galactic federation exists out there with aliens.
Us : And?
2020 : ....I thought youβd be a little more surprised.
Us : Oh,sorry
Us : AND???
what is a soul and why should I care?
I wrote this years ago and kept it to myself for a long time, but now seems like a good time to share.
A couple of years ago I dreamt of a wandering a hallway that reminded me of what people may walk through in an old prestigious academic institution. In my wandering, I would curiously open doors-not to find anything but to explore. At one point I opened a door and found a humanoid looking entity glowing, flashing, and shifting from one part of a large open room to another with intense speed.
I asked if it was an angel in anyway, and without hesitation of thought or movement it projected, βWe are all an aspect of God!β I was then guided out of the room by someone/something behind me, only to realize I was in a completely different room that gave me library vibes. I say this only because I was not focused on the room itself but who was in it.
A very tall golden man with illuminating eyes of a vibrant blue color walked directly into my focus and almost seemed to lower himself or help me adjust my line of sight because he was just THAT BIG. He came off as strong and capable- making me feel secure & safe within his presence. His smile wide and brilliant. He was so friendly!
Now here comes the clever part!
βWho are you?β, I asked.
βMy name is Miguel.β His eyes gazed at me softly, but maintained their power and steadiness.
I instantly responded with recognition due to my two years of required foreign language in high-school, β Oh, thatβs Michael in English! So Archangel Michael??β He nodded with gentle encouragement as he ushered for another man who looked exactly like him - a twin I thought- who had the same fiery eyes in radiant purple to stand next to him and introduce himself.
βAnd what about him? What is your name?β
βMy name is Raguel.β He smiled just the same. The gears in my head stopped turning.
βIβm sorry donβt know that name in Spanish??β I definitely never heard of an angel named Raguel either. I woke up. I figured what I dreamt of was not a real spiritual encounter but just my brains projection of one in a dream.
I proceeded to look up the name to attempt to find the English equivalent, only to get search results pertaining to:
When I thought about it, I realized that Michael may have used Spanish to help me retain Raguelβs name, because when Iβm in a dream (thatβs not lucid) information is instantly deemed as made up & unreal if it is not something that I perceive to be real during my waking life. So I will instantly discard it. So the fact that he used Spanish made me curious about the the possible βSpanishβ name I never heard of.
Meeting Apollo
(My experience working with the Gods. UPG)
2021 was a strange year with even stranger occurrences.
I found a lot of information in person of what magic in real life actually looks like. My parents were witches but very rarely practiced.
A friend who was a Lokean helped me with something that happened (which I will go in depth another day). Loki and his presence was very strong. I canβt remember exactly what I asked but the way he answered (through my friend) was βyouβre definitely Apolloβs.β (Which I should have noticed because he sent me dreams constantly with signs butβ¦)
Not long after I welcomed him in my life, I began to feel, hear, and see Apollo. It was weird (then again a lot of things were weird at this time), but it was also lots of fun.
Apollo was incredibly excited to be able to communicate and share information. His excitement I could feel like a full body buzz that made me giggle. I was obsessed (and a bit fearful) with being proper and worshiping him the βright wayβ, but he slowed me down and made me realize that itβs supposed to be fun. My practice was an adventure, something that will evolve with time, just embrace this beginning with him.
He taught me about the modernization of the Gods and how they are capable of not only understanding but enjoying modern things. Itβs important to respect their root likes, but alsoβ¦ βThat dodgeball meme is the funniest fucking thing.β
I still have a wonderful bond with Apollo. We have had our miscommunications and discussions on how to prevent them, which only made our bond stronger.
I offer him Wine and Peach Crown Royal Whisky. I play him classical music and Ke$ha. We love watching documentaries and Labyrinth. I pray to his accomplishments in mythology and our accomplishments together.
I honor you Phoebus Apollo, I thank you for our incredible bond. I am grateful for everything that youβve taught me and I canβt wait to continue!
Love, Sunspot
To those who are still reading I share my favorite advice. Learn about them like a friend, whatβs written down years ago is important, but thereβs been a lot of new things in that time.
Lastly have fun. Just enjoy what youβre doing. Itβs such a wonderful gift that weβve found our path. We could have never discovered this and yet here we are!!! Love your practice, itβs an evolving gift.
