Warding For Baby Witches!

warding for baby witches!

in the “coven” i’m in a lot of people found this helpful so i thought i’d post here!! naturally there are likely other methods, but these are what i’ve come in contact with the most. so in my experience there are 2 ways to create a ward: creating an astral safe space & manipulating energy to act as a shield.

1. creating an astral safe space is exactly what it sounds like. it’s your own space, where you can always access. you’re not actually astral traveling anywhere, because your safe space is essentially a part of you — it’s like your home, but astrally. ( it is possible to explore your own astral space, change it, or continue to develop it. ) naturally, this will require the ability to astral project.

an example: my astral safe space has multiple layers. the most general or “least safe” is the setting, which is a familiar forest modeled after a real forest i would spend a lot of time as a kid. i feel safe there. if i don’t feel safe in that space, i go to my next layer, and my most secure (excluding my deity & her spaces): my truck. i imagine myself in my truck, slamming the doors shut, rolling up the windows, locking the doors. nothing can get me there.

2. manipulating energy to act as a shield is more self explanatory. you take your energy and imagine it spreading across your whole body as to cover you. then you simply spread it outwards, until it’s like a bubble or dome, and then you solidify it. this method is easier but less reliable, as sometimes someone will simply make a lot of poor shields rather than one or two strong ones.

bonus: astral warding

astral warding & protection can manifest in many ways. the manipulated energy is always assumed to be there and is not visible. however, wardings can manifest as a part of your astral form.

example: after i met gaia and she gave me her protection, my astral body became surrounded by thick, thorny vines.

happy warding witches!!!

Wearable Study Bottle

Wearable Study Bottle

Back to school means lots of stress, and even more exams. It's important to study all the time as much as you can, and this wearable* spell bottle is a neat little way to help increase your productivity.

* does not have to be worn, can be carried as usual

What you need:

The spell:

Small jar, preferably glass and corked

Sage // wisdom, mental clarity

Cinnamon // success, increased mental energy

Ginger // power booster, energy boost

Irish moss // luck

Chamomile // stress relief

Peppermint // mental clarity, success

Lemon balm // success

Lemon peel // energy booster!

Elderberry // power boost

Heather // protection, luck

Wearable charm:

Eye pin

Jump ring

Necklace/something you want to put the charm on (a second one I did, which I'll post later, is a protection charm for my keys)

What you do:

If you're going to make it wearable:

Poke your eye pin through the cork top, and bend the excess back into the cork (like a j going through the cork)

Glue the eye pin to the cork, so there's no way it can come off and break

Connect a jump ring to the eye, so now you have a way to connect your charm to whatever you want it to hang off of

Take wax or super glue, and seal shut 🖤

As you can see, I didn't have an eye pin or a jump ring, so I bent a few sewing pins using jewelry pliars into the shape I needed

For the bottle:

Layer your herbs inside the bottle, it do esn't matter what order 😊

Wearable Study Bottle
Wearable Study Bottle

I'm not a photographer, but I think you get the point 😊🖤

Wearable Study Bottle

This is it when it's done.

Please remember that this will not work if you don't study. Magic can only boost, it won't make you pass the exam if you don't do the work. Happy school year!

Guide To Drying Herbs

Guide To Drying Herbs

Guide to Drying Herbs

Drying herbs is a simple practice, and there are several methods to choose from depending on the type of herb and your desire use. Here's how I dry my herbs:

1. Drying on Newspaper

Guide To Drying Herbs
Guide To Drying Herbs

This method works well for larger leaves and herbs that don’t need to be hung.

Lay the herbs flat on a clean sheet of newspaper in a single layer.

Place the newspaper in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

Turn the herbs occasionally to ensure even drying.

Once the herbs are dry and crisp to the touch, they’re ready for storage.

2. Hanging Herbs Upside Down

Guide To Drying Herbs

Perfect for longer herbs, like rosemary, lavender or thyme, that can be tied together.

Gather small bunches of herbs and secure them with a cord or string.

Wrap the herbs loosely in a breathable cloth, like cheesecloth or muslin. This helps them air freely while catching any small leaves or flowers that may shed during the drying process.

Hang the bunches upside down in a cool, dry place with good airflow. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can degrade the color and potency.

Once the herbs are completely dry (they should crumble easily), remove the leaves or store them as they are.

I do this with fresh lavender that I put in my closet as shown in the picture.

3. Pressing Herbs

Guide To Drying Herbs
Guide To Drying Herbs

This method is ideal for preserving delicate leaves or flowers for decorative purposes or rituals.

Place the herbs between sheets of paper (such as parchment or regular printer paper).

Insert the paper into a thick book, ensuring the herbs are spread flat and evenly.

Place additional books or a weight on top to press them.

Leave them for 1–2 weeks, checking occasionally for dryness.

4. Drying Small Petals

Guide To Drying Herbs
Guide To Drying Herbs

For small, delicate petals or flowers, a rule bag works wonders.

Place the petals or flowers in a breathable rule bag (such as a mesh or cotton drawstring bag).

Hang the bag in a dry, ventilated area.

Shake the bag gently every few days to prevent clumping and to ensure even drying.

General Tips for Best Results

Use Breathable Cloths: Wrapping your herbs or laying them on a breathable cloth allows air to circulate freely, preventing mold while catching any small leaves or flowers that shed during the drying process.

Timing: Dry herbs as soon as possible after harvesting to retain their potency and fragrance.

Environment: Choose a dry, cool, and ventilated area to prevent mold or mildew.

Labeling: If drying multiple herbs, label them to avoid confusion.

Storage: Once dried, store your herbs in airtight containers away from sunlight and moisture.

Using Dried Herbs

Always check if the plant is safe for use before collecting it. Do not make tea or touch anything with unknown properties. Always clean your plants before drying.

Once your herbs are dried, you can use them for teas, rituals, incense, or other magical and practical purposes. Always remember to respect and honor the plants you've harvested by using them mindfully.

Keep My Name Out Of Your Fucking Mouth ~ Binding curse

Howdy y'all! I was dealing with some bullshit that I would rather not deal with but a las, here I am. Anyways, did a little thing and thought I'd share for anyone who has to work with absolute vain, dumb pieces of shit like me. Please excuse how cringe the writing is, I really let my 13 year old emo me run wild with this but it felt fantastic to cast. As always, when cursing and hexing please make sure you stay safe. Ground yourself before hand, cleanse yourself after, don't damage yourself just to get one over on someone else. Happy casting.

Ingredients:

your rage

a black candle(ideally taper but a tealight or whatever will do just fine)

twine(so they feel like they're suffocating)

a sharp utensil or needle to carve said candle

Steps:

Carve the target's name into the black taper candle with the needle . Put a circle around their name and a giant X over the circle. This is to symbolize a bound mouth.

Wrap the candle with twine, visualizing the person being bound and silenced. Please practice fire safety. DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED. Keep in a safe dish or simply opt out of the twine if you know you don't want to sit there the whole time.

Light the black taper and say the incantation below. Let the candle burn down completely or fully past the engraving, focusing on your intent throughout the process.

Dispose of any left over remnants in a way that suits you. Throw it in the trash, a curse box, your jobs dumpster, just be eco-friendly please.

Incantation:

"May your lies and slander turn to dust,

In your mouth, words of me shall rust.

When you speak, the twine constrains,

Your words of me, bound in chains.

Feel the pressure, feel the strain,

Each attempt will be in vain.

By this candle, black as pitch,

Your mouth shall twitch, your tongue shall stitch.

Silence now, hold your breath,

Speak of me and feel my wrath.

This spell I weave, this curse I cast,

Keep my name out of your fucking mouth,

And let this silence last."

Prayers and offerings to your patron deity

Hang a protective amulet from the rearview mirror in your vehicle for safe travels

Home & Hearth Protection

Hang rose stems with thorns intact above the entrance of your home

Hang an upside down horseshoe above the entrance of your home (some lore states you should hang the horseshoe right-side-up)

Hang wind chimes or bells outside of your home

Create a “Witch Bottle” and bury in your front yard, or in a potted plant on your porch

Create a “Witch’s Ladder” or “Witch Ball” and hang it either inside or outside of your home

Hang imagery of protective symbols outside or around your home

Burn protective incense in your home

Create a room spray made from protective oils and spray around your home

Create a protective wash and use it to clean your windows, door frames, and tile/wooden floors

Place a protective crystal at each corner inside your home

Place a small glass of salt at each corner inside your home

Hammer 3 iron nails into your front door

Create a protective powder and sprinkle around the perimeter of your home - alternately, sprinkle outside of your front and back door

Create a sachet filled with protective herbs and crystals - keep inside or outside of your home, in your vehicle, etc.

Hang mirrors inside of your home

Place a crystal grid at the center of your home using protective crystals

❄️ Bath Spell ❄️

For purity and cleansing.

This was very impromptu but I tried it out and I like it!

Ingredients:

Snow Water

Vinegar

Witch Hazel

Egg Shell

Ice Cube

Bay leaf

Black Salt

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Collect snow water! I left a cup outside while it was snowing for about ten minutes just to let it collect at the bottom.
Bring the cup inside and add a little vinegar. Snow water is great for purification and the vinegar adds a cleansing value to it.
Add Witch Hazel to your mixture. Witch Hazel is great for your skin IF it is alcohol-free. It has many purification values.
For the egg shells, I saved some over from when I had breakfast. I boil mine but how you clean yours is up to you. I actually think Less is More when it comes to egg shells because they’re hard to clean up sometimes.
While you fill up your bath, I would add the ice cube. The act of melting ice represents cleansing and purification.
Add your mixture in a circular motion.
Add the black salt in a circular motion.
Add the egg shells.
Add your bay leave(s). I like to bless my Bay Leaves with a kiss before adding them to anything.
Extras:
I light white candles and use clear quarts and smokey quartz to line the bath. I also use aromatherapy but it didn’t correspond to the meaning so I didn’t add it in the ingredients list.
I also lit a pink candle for Venus and gave her a seashell offering so she can enjoy the bath as well.
