It’s your friendly neighborhood Mod Carbz here! I’m going to be live posting throughout Tyler’s stream, so if you can’t see it right now I’ll be hitting all the major points. And also freaking out occasionally.
It will all be reblogged from this post, so no clutter.
If you don’t want to see it, filter the tag “bblp”.
It's always “If they were in the same universe, Wilford and Remus would be friends/dating/enemies” and never “If they were in the same universe, Roman would have a field day or mental breakdown learning everybody's names”
Reminder: Roman thought the names Janus and Virgil we're embarrassing. There are canon characters named “Captain Magnum,” “Heehoo,” and “HeapAss.” (Yes, HeapAss is canon, he’s one of Yancy’s friends. Also yancy is a good example for this.)
Roman would have a mental breakdown as the names get more and more ridiculous and Virgil would just hover around him until finally he gets really close and goes “And you thought my name was bad.”
Anyways, back to goofy posts
What if Logan was actually saying ‘bullshit’ instead of ‘falsehood,’ but it came out falsehood because of the ever-present censor over the show. Because let's be honest, Remus wouldn’t change out the word ‘fuck’ for ‘Fuchsia.’
Do you think canon Thomas ever, like... Mixes up their names? We know for a fact Writer Thomas does, thanks to bloopers. Like, Logan alone has been mistaken for both Virgil and Patton at one point. Like, it has to be the same for canon Thomas, right?
Thomas definitely had one of those mom moments where he just rattles through all the names until he says the right one. Also a possibility, Thomas rattles off a couple names, gives up, and just points at them while saying “That one! You!” Thomas accidentally called Remus ‘Roman’ once and, safe to say, will never make that mistake again. (No violence (surprisingly,) just a lot of yelling about Thomas’s ‘audacity’ and how they aren’t the same.)
But also I feel the other sides are guilty of this as well. Logan called Patton ‘Janus’ once. Patton thought it was funny, but this haunts Logan. Remus called Virgil ‘Roman’ once, and Virgil brushed it off as a ‘hey, don’t worry about it’ kinda moment. Remus had never been more grossed out by a mix-up. (Ew, I called him my brother’s name? Gross.)
And Thomas has been called by all of the side’s names at least once.
Yummy 😋
Imma keep this for... Science
Since I get unreasonably annoyed about how popular the boring ass 4e/5e tiefling design is, here’s the table from Planescape for rolling really varied and weird tieflings.
I thought a lot about how to analyze this first season finale.
At first, I wanted to make two separate posts, then one, then two again. In the end I decided to put part 1 & 2 together in one single post, otherwise I would’ve ended up talking about the same themes twice.
As you can guess, these themes are all centered around Anxiety and they are as juicy as you can imagine. So let’s not waste any more time and let’s talk about the first season finale.

Mr. Sanders is messing with me
First of all, let’s take a moment to analyze the two titles given to the two parts of the season finale: Excepting Anxiety and Can Anxiety Be Good?
Speaking of the first title, I love the assonance/contrast it gives, when we read it in full. “ACCEPTING ANXIETY, Part ½: Excepting Anxiety!”: it sounds like a pun (accepting him, except accepting him ahaha), but we can also consider it a perfect recap of how Anxiety has been considered until that moment.
In Taking on Anxiety, Thomas said:
[Thomas]: I have anxiety. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s something I can control.
That means Thomas acknowledged Anxiety’s presence and accepted this Side as part of him.
However there is a difference between accepting a Side and accepting the presence of a Side. Think about Remus’ case: Thomas knows he is a natural part of himself and tolerates his presence, but that doesn’t mean Remus has been accepted (yet).
Same happened with Anxiety in season 1: Thomas accepted his presence and he’s okay if Anxiety sticks around. But he still refuses to acknowledge that this Side might be important for his well being. He’s still refusing Anxiety’s role. Paradoxically, Anxiety has been accepted… except for his anxiety.
While the second title not only reconnects to this idea of accepting Anxiety for his role, but it questions said role. For the first time, Thomas is tackling it from a different perspective: he’s not thinking about how to deal with anxiety, but about the nature of the role itself. Maybe this role isn’t intrinsically bad and he doesn’t just have to “control” it. Maybe Anxiety isn’t just a bad guy. Maybe there’s more to him. Maybe he can be good.
And, since Mr. Sanders is a bad person, he will definitely NOT use the same title for a future episode called Can LYING Be Good in which, guess what, we will see a character who doesn’t have ANY connections with Anxiety, nope nope, they definitely didn’t show any similarities until now.
See? See? It’s not me who sees them as father and son, everything is screaming at me that they are father and son! I can’t wait for the fucking episode in which they will say “hey, we actually know each other”, so I can throw my best “WOW WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT, WHAT A SURPRISE”.

The Nightmare time intro song by Starkid is so dark-side-coded. And I mean all of the dark sides. From SanderSides, to Altrverse, to the ‘with Markiplier’ series, all of them. It's so all of them ❤️
