how will asexuals enrich the lgbt community with their inclusion?
Okay, so let’s get this through your thick, exclusionist skull. (I’ll use small words)
How does anyone “enrich” the LGBT+ community?
Enrich, according to the dictionary, means a number of things.
1. to supply with riches, wealth, abundant or valuable possessions, etc.
In this way we bring the same thing you do: Some of us are able to donate money and resources to things like the Trevor Project or our local LGBT+ offices and their outreach programs.
2. to supply with abundance of anything desirable, such as knowledge.
Hi! I collect lists of websites and books and groups that portray and/or teach about different LGBT+ identities so that I can give them out to people who have questions. There are a number of us (asexual, aromantic, and agender individuals) who do similar things in order to enrich our communities.
3. to add greater value or significance to.
More voices = louder communal voice. You want people to listen to you about issues and struggles that our community faces? You’re gonna need more voices.
4. to adorn or decorate.
There are a good number of us who are artists. We design your posters and t-shirts and murals. We don’t just create art for our own identity, but yours, too.
5. to make finer in quality, as by supplying desirable elements or ingredients.
Every person has something good in them that they can bring to the table. By denying a whole group of people, you are denying their ideas and their resources and their personalities. You are denying all desirable elements that could build your community.
Now, this is slightly off-topic but it connects: The rest of the LGBT+ community (including you aphobes) talk a lot about how being gay isn’t just about sex… And yet you exclude us because some of us don’t like sex.
Kinda seems like you’re just shooting yourself in the foot there…
I find it amusing whenever you tell someone you had a stressful day a popular phrase to respond with is 'tomorrow is another day.'
Well yeah, but today is also a day so in that moment I hate days. Jee thanks, I can't wait to relive the same harrowing experience over again!
really hate how so many people are aphobic, transphobic, etc without being OPEN about it. i just wanna follow some new people without having to search through their blog to make sure they dont hate me or other people for simply existing
Here is your source.
Is this person trying to say that being ace or aro makes you less of your sexual orientation…? This is just,,, so silly. A gay ace or a gay aro isn’t “basically” gay, they are gay.
Being gay doesn’t make you any less ace and being ace doesn’t make you any less gay. They aren’t contradictory! Same goes for every other sexual orientation and with being aro

all of them
all of them
all of them
all of them
all of them
all of them
"Neopronouns are made up!!!" ah yes, made up pronouns, as opposed to the organic, 100% natural she/he/they pronouns, handpicked from the trees
so this is more for myself-
i'm curious to see how much my gender changes (I'm genderfluid) and what it changes to so I'll probably repeatedly reblog this with my gender shshhs
jdhdhdigdye 💀😭👏
“you changed” yes i realised gender is a hoax
I agree with the labels not being contradictory towards whatever orientation you may be yet I have to add
heteromantics are queer and thus LGBTQ+.
You don't have to like the same gender to be queer you just don't follow amatonormativity and/or heteronormativity. Let me add, this is typically not by choice like how asexuals and aromantics don't have a choice in not feeling attraction.
They have a different experience than that of heterosexuals. You may not notice, as I am going to assume that you are an allosexual/romantic by your word choice, but this world is heavily sex and romance crazed.
I am an aroace demiboy and you won't believe how hard it is to live in a society like this. We do face oppression like you as well, I'm not going to argue which is worse homophobia or aphobia because oppression isn't a contest but we do have to face discrimination as well.
Not just corrective rape and conversion 'therapy', but some doctors even put ace patients off of meds if found to lower their libido. There is nothing wrong with feeling no sexual and/or romantic attraction yet we feel broken for years. When we hear the terms asexual or aromantic we realize there is nothing wrong with us afterall.
You have to remember that this community was made to protect everyone thrown out by the amato/heteronormative society. Asexuals and aromantics experience oppression and need support just like everyone else in the LGBT+ community. Instead of infighting and saying who gets to be allowed in or not lets actually fight discrimination.

or identifying as only nonbinary. for example, i'm genderfluid which is under the enby umbrella yet many think nonbinary is a singular gender and not a spectrum/umbrella.
a lot of y’all out here making posts about how much you support enbies but will invalidate them if they don’t fit the mold.
the mold is white, naturally androgynous, non aligned, short hair, really skinny, afab, actively transitioning, identifing as trans, binding, pansexual or asexual, listening to indie or alt music, has a goblincore aesthetic, and maybe dyed hair.
i’m just saying if this is the ONLY type of nonbinary person you support, you’re enbyphobic.
nonbinary people can be poc, lesbian, gay, bi, amab, binary aligned, not transistioning, not identifying as trans, fat, and overall not fit your “ùwú enby space babey” aesthetic.
stop treating our identities like things to be discussed or debated NO MATTER WHAT SIDE YOURE ON. nonbinary people are nonbinary and are valid, end of convo. our validity was NEVER up for debate. periodt.
if you take away one thing from this, let it be to LISTEN TO NONBINARY PPL.
- sincerely, a very pissed black autistic bisexual nonbinary person who uses neogenders and has she/her/he/him/cat/cats/nya/nyas pronouns
