Diary entry fourteen: I understand now, why ponies gift things like flowers. Though they’ll wilt away, the feeling they give off while they’re alive lasts forever, and that’s love. Ive been thinking about gifting her some, they’ll be made out of paper. She won’t have to worry about them dying.

This dialog is so funny too me...there's so many ways you can interpret it at they're all hilarious imo

1. Astro is giving Boxten good dreams and he's just so anxious that he manages to twist them into nightmares

2. Astro doesn't understand what a good dream would be to Boxten and keeps accidentally making him experience The Horrors™️

3. Astro is intentionally giving him nightmares and lying through his teeth here(my personal favorite although unlikely)
