NO YOU AREN’T. THIS IS NOT OPINION, THIS IS FACT!
Have you ever thought of something in your own worldbuilding that you didn't intentionally plan, but just connect the dots afterwards like "wait, that actually checks out"?
Like in the story of the Book I Am Not Working On, there's the fisher folk. They don't fish, actually, they live in diaspora and nobody really knows why they're called that, anymore. They're more known for their numerous, strict and often seemingly random and nonsensical ritual purity rules, and stereotypically having absurdly large numbers of children. The twist is, they don't actually have more children than any other peoples of the Empire, their purity rules just ensure that they maintain higher levels of physical hygiene in everything to do with childbirth and handling infants - and therefore have a lower infant mortality than other peoples.
The "why do these people have huge families" thing also had another side: Fetishisation. The fisher folk's purity rules also involve no sex outside of marriage, and there's a myth on top of the stereotype that the reason why they seem to have a massive amount of kids is because their husbands are so good in bed that their wives cannot turn them down even if they're 100% done having kids. And since fisher folk do not have sexual relations outside of marriage, no outsider has had enough fisher dick to verify this.
But while they are loyal to partners, they are also polygamous, both ways around. A perfectly normal fisher marriage arrangement may feature a man and his two wives, and his second wife's first husband. One household may cover seven married partners, and all their mutual children. It's considered taboo to pry into which kids are "really" whose, paternity is unknowable and unless you were close enough to the family to know which one of the wives gave birth, the biological mother is none of your business either. Every partner in the marriage is equally a parent to each child born within it.
And this is where my own "wait hold on" comes in. Besides the lower mortality, the illusion of fishers having insane amounts of kids may also partially come from the way their families are structured. If you've just met a group of five people you don't know anything about, and they all claim that they have nine children each, it wouldn't cross your mind that they might all be claiming the same nine children.
my favourite headcanon when dealing with whatever the hell mcyt’s names are is that everyone just has a fucking universe assigned string of characters (the username) which everyone knows and is what the universe calls you by, but serves no actual functional purpose by itself
in society, the username is used as the legal name because its convenient - at any given point a username is unique to one person and you can easily identify someone by username
but obviously, the username is random and as a casual name it may not work - “Grian” is a fine name but “BdoubleO100” is a nightmare to say, so people develop nicknames based off these. some people go as far to have nicknames completely divorced from their username - e.g. “Jimmy” for “SolidarityGaming”
usernames probably bring up a lot of questions. they seem random, not affected by environmental or genetic factors in any discernible way. they’re more likely to contain words - or things that are kind of like words - than a truly random string of letters. I imagine there being a lot of meaning ascribed to them - like certain numbers symbolising certain things or certain words detailing something for your future. example: people with “7” in their name are more serious (supposedly. it’s kind of equivalent to our zodiac signs. belief varies)
I like to think about all the implications of this naming system. xB off-handedly said that Joel’s username is “SmallishBeans” so he’ll only be calling him “Beans” and not “Joel”, does this imply that some people believe your nickname must be derived by your username and consider nicknames that aren’t illegitimate? what about people that want to change their username? there’d be less name changes than our world (since names aren’t family or gender related) but it’s certainly possible (as you change the username of your minecraft account), but is there a stigma against it? rejecting the very name the universe gave you? are “rare” names (such as with small character count or palindrome etc) considered lucky or unusual?
(using the term “nickname” for ease of understanding because that’s our closest equivalent but in-universe this isn’t really what they are. better term “casual name”? “nickname” implies it isn’t your real name or is a cute shortening, whilst this would definitely be considered your name, just one of two types)
i just have… thoughts.
A series of events:
1. I put in an Annual Leave request form almost 3 weeks ago and my boss has not approved it yet
2. I went into my office today and replaced every single writing utensil with crayons in preparation for April Fools Day on Monday
3. Whilst searching for pens to remove, I found my unsigned Annual Leave form in my boss’s drawer
4. I placed my unsigned Annual Leave form in a photo frame and put it on his desk
5. The frame I used was from a photo of his kids that I deemed less important than my Leave form
6. My boss sometimes goes into the office on Saturdays to work
7.
@tvvigjuice @imahumandumpling even if you know literally nothing about this, please just vote Cleo, okay?

This is all made for fun of course. All the lifers can be on whatever teams they want forever and should feel no pressure to mix it up.
The way literally every single player in Third Life except Jimmy got to see how hard Scott fell apart after Jimmy died. Everyone else saw, talked, whispered with pity, as Scott became reckless and dazed with grief only to die uncharacteristically early in the finale. Except for Jimmy.
When Jimmy saw Scott for the last time in Third Life, Scott was in control as he always was, and when Jimmy saw Scott again in Last Life, Scott was in control again.
I always get the sense that Jimmy still sees Scott as unshakable, or something close to it, to this day. Jimmy always expects Scott to be in control of any given situation, to be level headed, observant, diplomatic, and on top of things. Even up to the most recent season.
Because Jimmy is the only person in the life series (who was present for third life, at least) who doesn't fully understand how hard Scott can shatter under the right circumstances, who didn't get to see it with his own eyes (and did anyone even tell him?), despite the fact that Scott's biggest moment of weakness was over Jimmy.
It's just fascinating to me guys.
another plurality wildcard for your collection: people get randomly assigned into duos (outside of their alliances) and one piggybacks on the other. they can change who's walking and who's piggybacking but they cannot escape each other. person on piggyback is harder to reach in pvp but cannot hit other players; person walking can control where both of them go and can pvp, but is more likely to get hit. it would be so unbalanced but so funny...
It WOULD be unbalanced, but that's also the average plural experience, so
is this anything guys
does anyone knows who made the diary of a wimpy kid autism scale bc i literally think abt it all the time
