I remember in canon qSpreen just not realizing how badly he fucked up with qRoier and more or less hanging out with him as normal… minus him putting security cameras up around Roier’s house, anyway

Even qQuackity had a day or two of walking on eggshells around Roier until the egg event started and he got distracted with being an absent parent

Roier made a real attempt to pretend to be normal so his revenge would work out the way he wanted. He needed it to hurt Spreen the same way that Spreen hurt him, so the ‘betrayal’ needed to be real.

In this fic’s case, it’s Roier suddenly leaving the pack and Spreen confused because? He didn’t stab him that badly. Sure, he was hospitalized and in a coma and stuff, but that doesn’t mean anything

Interesting fact that I somehow remember: In the abandoned grounds of qSpreen, before leaving, he buried a chest with a gun there, and Cucurucho tried to take it I think it was one or two days before he left, and the chest was never found

Spreen literally got killed for illegal activities, thus proving that Cellbit was a Favorite because he should have been dead too!
