MAX WON OMG!!! crying tears of joy rn
Just remember that tomorrow is December 28th, for Mexicans is like April's fool, 'Dia de los Santos Inocentes', which means some people release fake news and declarations in a joking tone. Don't fall for any news (particularly Checo news), because last year the prank was that Checo was fired from RBR and Marko was sleeping with Daniel Ricciardo. Ah, and Horner was also sleeping with Wolff (where's the joke in that though).
So I imagine that the joke now is Checo having a new team. As a Chequista/Checolover, that kind of hurts because most of us are waiting for Checo to say something, so I warn you in case you see things tomorrow. I've already seen edits of news that clearly are jokes (Marko now sleeping with Lawson in a very bad photoshopped picture). Still, some of the news sound real, so just be cautious.
And if you are Mexican, don't lend people money! You'll never get it back.
SLAY HONESTLY
The real question within Red Bull (leaving aside what would await it in 2025) is…
Why do CH and HM want Checo out? I think we already know that HM is a [redacted] as hell, a person that you are literally going to dislike because he is ALWAYS going to make [redacted] comments, but… CH??? He really is quite unpredictable in his word, he will NEVER admit a mistake and well, Checo is the scapegoat in RBR, but even so you can see a LOT of difference from last year to this one, last year it was "he get good points, it doesn't matter if Qualifying is bad", this year they wanted to do the same as 23, but OBVIOUSLY it didn't work out, leaving aside the OBVIOUS fact that due to the power dispute and the legal area, really
The idea that RBR is trying to get rid of Checo is already stronger, because it is no small thing. The current situation is just curious, in the middle of the year both Max and Checo were angry with the car situation, but precisely something that started with Brazil's victory made Max calm down, as if "nothing had happened", of course, people in general do not realize that they will use Checo's data (sacrifice) to give it to Max (Qatar is a GREAT example, but it would have also happened in Silverstone), but at the same time In Las Vegas, the mistake they made (coughcof) was not something "light" but rather something that has dragged on. CH prefers to defend the work that Bird does than Checo.
It really made me wonder what the next move for RBR would be. Furthermore, let's not ignore that RBR ALWAYS likes to attract attention, so for them it is being good (using Checo to distract the public from the bad car they gave their drivers). PLUS the incompetence they're giving is already at a beastly level (I really think "they can't go any lower" and they surprise me!), the rear wing of Las Vegas GP is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I really want someone internal to RBR to reveal the WHOLE truth because seriously, it is a big [redacted] that has escalated the situation
This race stressed me out now i have to go study for a test(that also has me stressed) and get ready for church
checo + yuki being father and son 🦦
CANELO ON TOP DHMU🗣️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Checo and Yuki's dynamic between each other and their place within the team as a whole was designed in a lab to target and torture me specifically on a mental, physical and spiritual level. A Mexican driver and a Japanese driver, who genuinely cared about each other and understood each other's struggles BECAUSE of their background and the way they were treated by their teams and the sport itself. I feel genuine heartache for both of them because they meant something so deeply personal to me and their evil teams took it away.
even when everyone continually refuses to understand them as people because they keep wanting to project their stereotypes onto them, Checo supported Yuki and checked in on him on bad race weekends because he understands. And Yuki so clearly appreciated that care and the fact that Checo always vocally celebrated his talent and advocated for his success.
They were such an example of two people who not only understood the same struggles they endure in this field but also the deep importance of their culture and what it means to represent your people, how having other POC to support and care about you in a white-dominated field can mean the world in such a special way. then the systemic racism of the sport pushed out Checo and didn't give Yuki what he deserved.
inside you there are two wolves: one wants oscar wdc, the other years for mclaren to burn to the ground
Stop comparing Checo with Lawson, they are practically VERY different. The only thing they share is the fact that they drove for RBR as second driver. Everything else, completely different
Checo had been in F1 for years, in mid-table/low teams, achieving podium finishes in some cases. Practically demonstrating his driving skills, but without any luck of victory. Until Sakhir 2020, a victory where he came back from his incident to win. Reason why many people were happy when I joined RBR. Checo is known for being a kind person who treats others well within F1.
Instead we have Lawson, who was painted as a great pilot, being able to achieve what Checo didn't, lie! He started in 2023 showing himself as an option, it was not until 2024 that he was already in the VCARB seat that he showed who he really is. Having problems with Spanish-speaking pilots. It's already been bad for him and it's getting worse, not only he's not give good results, but other pilots have shown to have problems with him- I would say it's ridiculous to see it like this, bc one wouldn't expect it to go SO badly. And it's surprising to see everything that happens, because in FACT it gives worse results than Checo's last races, because Checo simply ended up with a wrecked car, without a team to help him, with an engineer who ignored him. Lawson ain't, bc his engineer is not the same (the previous one didn't even do his job well), team does what they can to help him, but this is very embarrassing to see.
Fun fact: when RBR said goodbye to Checo, Checo's helmet, his famous slogan, was erased, his "Never give up". I guess that wasn't just an edit, but it reflects on the team itself, and I'm happy that's happening.
And last thing to comment, I hope Yuki isn't going to be in that damn car and that damn Helmut
