The year is 2020 and I’m a Black girl who lives in luxury. Accounts? Plush. Skin? Clear. Brows? Fleeky. Bills? Paid. Income? Flowing. Career? Flourishing. Passport? Stamped. I’m in love with my life. Just some dabbles or headcanons on what I feel like the boys in April's school would be like,🤷🏿‍♀️ so let's start with one the leader Raph. 

Human Raph is heavily inspired “Almguav” their blog is awesome so go check it out, I nearly died when I saw Raph have waves. Being Black myself with brothers I can tell you that brushing “with” the grain is a must. And now all I can think about is Raph going to the barber to have his lines shaped up and his fade on point.

Raph is often judged due to his size, and high school was not a pleasant experience at first. I also offer up for your consideration Raph having dimples. Once entering the hallway, students and teachers alike moved out of the way, his hulking figure taking up space in the already crowded hall.

6ft tall wearing a red during, black tank top, and red basketball shorts, his black Nike's squeaking against the clean floor. His face planted into his phone, trying to understand his class schedule. He could feel people staring, and it was a bit unsettlingly, especially since April said people wouldn't even notice new kids.

It was probably the scars showing on his now caramel-colored skin. His arms and hands had the most markings from years of punching stuff he shouldn't have. The rumor mill already at work on why the new kid look like he punched a truck a won.

And then it happens...some poor scrawny nerd carrying heavy textbooks slams into Raph’s back. The entire hallway goes silent, everyone waiting with bated breath for the inevitable fight...well not a battle with the new kid's size it would be more of a slaughter.  

Realizing what had happened, the nerd doesn’t even bother getting up again. His glasses were off somewhere on the floor. Oh well, they were probably safer on the story anyway. Closing his eyes, he waited for the inevitable punch to the gut or the face; he found himself being slowly lifted into the air by his shirt single handly. 

“well here it comes I’m either gonna be shoved into a locker or tossed into a trash can again.”

Only the hit never came, and he was gently set back on his feet, glasses placed gently back on his face. Taking a chance, he peeked one eye open to see on almost puppy dog look on this giants face.

 "Hey, little buddy, you alright? You should be more careful, try carrying your more with your legs than your back." He said as he stacked the fallen books back into his hands.

With that, Raph turned back around his focus once again on his phone. He quickly trekked down the silent hallway moving passed the stunned students. People's jaws open from the lack of violence.

and the only thing the nerd could say, speaking for almost everyone who had witnessed the scene. "What the Fuck?"

Raph is a godsend to the Football coach and the team. Never in his 30 years of coaching had he seen an enormous player move so swiftly and gracefully. He was pretty sure this Rapheal kid never touched the ground once during tryouts.

Surely he's been playing since he was a kid and had transferred from another high school. The coach nearly fainted when he said that this was his first time playing on a football field and had been homeschooled for the past 16years.

"It's probably from all the dancing I do, especially the ballet, Mikey's better tho.

And the surprises kept coming when Raph entered his math class the teacher felt he had dealt with Raph's type before. He was no doubt the standard jock who slacked off during class but still wanted to play at next week's game.

2 weeks in and Raph was the most attentive student in the class, while not being the best at math anyone could see that he tried his hardest. He asked questions during class, stayed afterward for tutoring and tips, and did his best to stay awake and pay attention.

And the day Raph answered a problem in class and got it right, the teacher could swear he saw stars in his eyes. And when his test grades went up from 65 to an 80, he immediately was out the door dialing on his phone. "Donnie, you won't believe what I got on the test!"

Raph joins the knitting club, and the members nearly fainted when they saw him in the doorway.

"Hamato, why weren't you at the game on Friday? We needed you! "

"But coach, I told you that the knitting club competition was on Friday and that I couldn't make it."

It quickly became known the Raphael did stand for bullying of any kind as would be quick to call anyone on their shit, especially his teammates

Raphael ‘Hiroki’ Hamato

16yrs old, Junior 

Quarterback, Vice President of the knitting club, member of a local boxing club

Hiroki meaning “abundant joy and strength”

Voted most likely to miss a game, because he wanted to pet a stray cat.

I like to think that Splinter gave them all Japanese middle names that fit them well.

Spider mom Au Headcanon

Even though Big Mama did my man dirty and used Master Splinter for her own gain, I can't help but wonder what life would be like if she had said yes to his proposal. Imma calls it "SpiderMom" Au.

Picture it, Lou Jitsu proposes, and Big Mama confesses that before she can give him an answer, he has to know the truth. She then reveals herself to be a Spider Yokai and a crime lord and asks him if he still loves her? Even when in her Yokai form. She had seen the previous girls he had been with, why would he again choose her to marry?  

This gonna be a little longer than usual, so bear with me.

Lou Jitsu, at this point, is too far gone to even think about letting Big Mama go. He's shocked at first, but once he looked into those eight beautiful eyes that this was still the woman he loved. No matter what she forms she took, she was still is his sassy sugar badger. Besides the whole crime boss thing, it was a minor inconvenience. Lol

With no further hesitation, Lou Jitsu stands by his proposal. 

Big Mama agrees, but before the can get hitched, Lou Jitsu has to prove his worth to not only hear but to the Yokai community and her associates. These lead to Lou Jitsu's fighting and winning at the battle Nexus to prove himself. Kinda like how animals in the wild have mating dances or fight challengers as a show of dominance and that they are the best choice. 

Lou Jitsu wins, and he and Big Mama are happily married a couple of years passed. And while Lou does remain champion after suffering nasty injuries after a particularly lousy fight. He and Big Mama agreed that he should retire early with zero loses; by then, Draxum had already seen Lou Jitsu fight and is still moving along with his mutation plan.  

Draxum doesn't know that Lou and Big Mama are married at this point and believed that Big Mama was hogging Lou Jitsu for herself and would only make him fight once a year to draw in a bigger crowd. Lou Jitsu only fights once a year as a part- one wedding anniversary gift. It's only after the fight that when Lou Jitsu is getting his minor cuts and scrapes healed up before he and Big Mama continue, they're planned anniversary that Hugin and Munin strike. 

Rather than willing going with them, as shown in the episode Goyles, Goyles, Goyles. Hugin and Munin manage to chloroformed him with some of the healing potions in the room. 

It's at this point that when Lou reawakens in Draxum's lab, Draxum does his usual villain monologue, and Lou explains that he's doesn't have time for crazy fans, and he doesn't plan to be late for his anniversary dinner. Lou Jitsu was used to be occasionally kidnapped or threatened by rivals or business associates of Big Mama. 

These yokai's soon learned not to mess with Big Mama's business, let alone her hubby. Insults were hurled, punches were thrown, the mutations happen, and the lab was destroyed. Lou manages to make his way out of the fire and rubble with four baby turtles clutched in his arms. But rather than retreat to the sewers to Lou immediately makes his way to the Battle Nexus outpost to flag done a ride back to the hotel. 

He and Big Mama had never thoroughly discussed the idea of children, but I guess there was no backing out now. Lou quickly made his way to the hotel and was immediately tended to by the onsite healers. Big Mama had been getting ready for the anniversary dinner all morning. She now has to process the fact that her husband appears to be turning into a rat. A group of her bellhops was trying to calm four baby turtles.

Once Lou finishes his tale of events, Big Mama is furious and immediately wants to put a hit on Draxum's head. With the mutation continuing with no way of reversing it, Lou convinces her it would be better than Draxum believe that both he and the turtles are dead from the fire. Draxum was very reclusive, and he didn't run deeply in the same circles as Big Mama so the wouldn't have to worry about word getting out. Most yokai were smart enough to not spread Big Mama's business around. 

Big mama wasn't exactly sold on having not one but four children, but once the little box turtle looked up her with the sweetest look and chirped at her. She swore from then no harm would come to them. These were now her turtles-boos while she was certainly not the most maternal. Isn't that becoming a parent was about learning along the way? And the kids were a part of her husband, and she still loved him dearly they would get through this together.

She did, however, refuse to name the green 1-4. She drew the line at that. While she would miss her husband's tall stature and tan skin, she'd be lying if she said she wasn't enjoying how fluffy he and small he was. Gray was definitely his color, she had her servants set up a nursery near her rooms and knew that this was definitely going to be interesting.

The boys are then raised mostly in the Nexus Hotel topside, not wanting to catch the eye of Draxum; the boys were only allowed outside the hotel into the hidden city with at least 12 guards. The boys are given private tutors, of course, and due to Raph's "sharp" physique all his clothes, his clothes had to be enchanted but would still end up ripping. Donnie, of course, chews through tutors like packs of gum. And Big Mama loved to indulge all of her baby's talents. 

She especially loved to brag how brilliant her children were to anyone who would listen.

"oh your 21yr son finished college how cute, my Donnie kins just finished building his second AI system, it's what all the 12yr olds are up to." 

"My Darling Miguel has been winning the hidden city gymnastics competition for several years now."  

"Oh, yes! My lovely Leo just led his Kendo team to nationals for the 5th year in the row! You must see the trophy."

"Raphael is getting so big, I'm sure his boxing coach will soon be moving him to the advanced class. 15yrs need to stay active, you know."

Everything is not always perfect, you know.

The boys are an absolute menace on the hotel as children; Donnie won't stop ripping out needed appliances and messing with the elevator. Mikey once painted over a 500 dollar rug, Raph and Leo turned the dinner carts into chariot racing. 

 I imagine that Big Mama is a cross of Mama bear and Tiger Mom, she's very loving and wants the best for her children. But when she's mad, it's best to stay clear. She can't stay mad at her babies for long though, family nights were a must. Lou Jitsu marathons with lots of snacks, pizza, and cuddling. And must to Lou's chagrin Jupiter Jim movies. You definitely missed being human, but being rat had its advantages. And with a cloaking necklace given by his wife, he could hardly tell the difference. 

The boys still meet April while sneaking out and manage to convince their mom that she wasn't like other humans. The boys were getting older, and she couldn't keep them in the hotel forever. Cue giving them cloaking necklaces and bracelets to hide out in the human world and start going to school with April. 

And all the shenanigans of trying to hide four mutant turtles in high school included.

After watching Mikey yeet an entire boat with the Kusari Fundo in "Many Unhappy Returns" I can't help but wonder what Donnie's Mystic Weapon power might have been like.🤔

My headcanon is that if Donnie had taken the last mystic weapon is that his power would be some sort of Telekinesis or even mind reading.

I at least wanted him to take the spear just to have and see what it does. I'll try to make some fanart of for it

I'm not saying Zee's Dad could get it...🤔

I'm just asking if Zee wants a step mom🥵

One thing I really appreciate in this series is the shortage of villain on lackey abuse. I think that Foot Lieutenant and Foot Brute have realized that in order to run a successful crime organization without betrayal or spies is to treat your subordinates with some level of respect.

He doesn't threaten April when she talks about leaving or even talk down or insult her. He calmly explains that everyone must stay on the train.

Y'all need to stop sleeping on Foot Lieutenant and Brute, these two are the evil married dads we all need in our lives

Can we appreciate the fact that Raph was on his top of his big brother/leader game in Jupiter Jim Ahoy. It's the little things that make me love this Raph even more👌🏾

Even tho Raph is as much of a fan as his brothers, he knows that stranger danger is real. He knows that however nice your idol may be you shouldn't follow them outside the convention center to an unknown second location.

And he immediately found it wierd that this grown man old enough to be their father possibly older wanted to take these children, 'because 15 and younger, children is what they are' to a second location.

Because at the end of the day they don't truly know this man, they only know the fictional man he plays on t.v

This is a good subtle lesson to kids that you shouldn't follow anyone to an unknown location no matter how cool, and to always wait and try to gain as many facts as possible, or quietly point on things that don't make sense.

Raph: "Meeting my favorite actor in a populated area? Cool👍🏾"

And he was smart enough to not outright start freaking out, and start throwing wild accusations at Moncrief until he was sure that he was dangerous.

I'm really enjoy this show and every knew episode is a treat, that I feel truly opens each the boys own personalities.

You know when the episode started I found it wierd that Jupiter Jim's meet n greet was empty.🤔 Especially with how many movies Jupiter Jim appears to have made, and how well his merchandise sells.

But looking back it makes sense, Marcus has probably been kidnapping fans for a while now.

And I imagine that after the third year in a row of fans going missing, and last to be seen at his table. His table and whole section were probably labeled as cursed at GalaxyCon.

Rumors soon spread that anyone who goes to see Marcus Moncrief turn up missing shortly after, fans of the series go in but never go out. And with less and less fans showing up, it probably became easier for him to kidnap the few dedicated fans, who did come to see him.

And no one would suspect him either, why would Marcus Moncrief be kidnapping fans? Wouldn't a retired actor like him have better things to do like collect his royalties and play golf. He probably gets hassled by fans off the street, it can't be him.

It appears that after years of playing Jupiter Jim has caused Marcus tp be unable to differentiate between the character and himself. Its Method Acting gone to far. So many people address him by Jupiter Jim, that he really started to believe it in his old age.

But hey at least we know where Raph gets his Ahoy catchphrase from🤷🏿‍♀️

Ok so if Big mama can make herself look like this: 

and Sunita can blend in at Aprils’s school flawlessly l doesn’t that mean the boys can do it too? 

 This something that’s been on my mind for a while but I just got around to piecing it together. It came to me after re-watching Mystic Library and Operation Normal.  Either their magical abilities either came from something in Drazum’s ooze or from Master Splinter’s DNA. Because I’m calling it now that the sword Lou Jitsu’s ancestor used was magical, with the purpose of destroying the dark armor but that’s beside the point. 

I mean it’s one thing to possess mystical weapons that were probably already enchanted but it’s another to draw a rune, push your magical energy into it to activate said rune and it successfully work on the first try. Raph does all this when releasing Mayhem from the mirror. 

And if the boys can do that, they can definitely pull off the human ”cloak” Sunita, Big mama and even the old lady they followed to Senor Queso’s Pizzeria did. looking back even Draxum’s goons from the first episode could do it too. This means the boys won’t have to face the choice of making the selves human with reverse mutagen/ooze or deciding to stay mutants because they can literally just be both, but I’ll speak on that later.

and were being fed the story in a “How I Met Your Mother” format meaning certain events lead to the ending, and the story is either being told to us by Mao or Adorabat or even Shin Mao!!!!.  I thought of Shin Mao telling us the story just as I was typing this.

I actually thought of all this while walking to work listening to the 10hr video of the opening song, because why not.

contrary to popular belief not everyone has an innate sense of internal gender or care to have one or seek a name for it, some people go their whole lives without questioning their occupation in one of two gender roles, but for some people, if pressed, they don't feel that internal sense of 'i am a woman' or 'i am a man', and in that case i feel the switch over to transgender vs cisgender relies on active identification of a gender other than the one they were assigned. if someone's like 'idk dude I just work here' then that's valid

I wish I knew this when I was younger, all I used to draw as kid was food, and I loved doing it too, but my family would always get on my nerves on why I couldn't/wouldn't draw something else. Whenever I did draw something else like a oc who was a girl, its the same old

"is that supposed to be you?" "Aw yeah that's definitely you" "you got multiple personalities"..... um no😒

If I drew a boy: "is that your boyfriend?"

If I drew a couple my sister would get this weird creepy smug look, like she had just got me flirting with a guy. It was really uncomfortable not to mention annoying. At some point I just stopped drawing in front of my family entirely and kept all my work in my room.🤷🏿‍♀️

something i wish i had realized earlier: you can write poems on the same subject more than once. you can write, paint, draw the same thing over and over if you want to. you can spend your whole life making art about oranges. i think i always felt this pressure to get it right the first time like i couldn’t go back and use that inspiration again. but you can. you can go back and revisit it. you can pick up the conversation again and again if you have more to say.
