My name is Hilda, a chemist from Gaza. I lost my job and home due to the war, and now I live in a tent with my husband and family. I am four months pregnant, and my doctor has told me that I need a proper diet and medication due to nutrient deficiencies, but I cannot afford them.

I launched this campaign 5 months ago to support my family and ensure a healthy future for my baby. I am struggling with the cold, fear, and constant bombing. Please help us as soon as possible.

i’ve been thinking about innocuous photos like the one on the left. because it is my job to neglect the sprouts of imperialism and racism that accompanied my upbringing, i've been attempting to find solidarity even in the innocuous. and how easily it comes: marah and i, both schoolgirls who like cute things, both compelled by the desire to photograph our supplies after arranging them to be just-so. the photo on the right is an old one of mine.

“how much do i have in common with a palestinian?”

i think the answer would be “everything.” maybe you’re united by the love you have for your pets, being fans of the same goth rock band, or the fact that, were something of severity to happen to your family, you’d also be online, asking for help in a way your elders might find it hard to wrap their heads around, and making sure people knew they could trust your campaign.

and if this were a message you were sending, i hope that your hope would remain in tact, because people like us, on the other end, would be doing everything they could to help you.

Make a stink every day in congress, throw as many bills as you can on the floor even if they go nowhere, look like you're trying.

Have someone, idk maybe someone you actually want to boost for President in 3 gd years, be your voice of opposition in the media, loudly complaining and telling the facts, every single day. Let the people know you're there!

How hard is this? There's probably better suggestions than mine if they actually hired seasoned protestors or behaviorists/psychologists or even the biggest teenage troll they can find on a messageboard.
