The absolute cruelty of the "Let Go" cover playing during the pool scene, because in order for Maddie to get her life back, Wally will have to let her go eventually. And she'll have to let go of him too, not just because she won't be able to see or speak to him anymore, but because she'll get to grow up and live a full life when he never will. She'll get to go to college, find herself outside of the confines of adolescence, have a career of her choosing, maybe even fall in love again and have a family if she wants to. If she gets to live again, she will be the Wendy to his Peter. The Wendy who gets to grow up while he'll always be outside her window, waiting for a reunion that will never come. This would've messed me up as a teenager but I think it hits even harder as an adult because you have a greater awareness of the magnitude of that kind of loss, especially if you know what it's like to see friends and classmates die young. They stay frozen in time, unable to move forward and hit certain milestones, while you and the rest of their peers are left to go on living. It's a surreal experience, and it never feels right. I think we all automatically expect our peers to be out there somewhere living parallel lives even if we're not close to them. We expect them to get the same amount of time we do. But some of them don't, and you have to keep going while you wonder why them, why were they the ones who had to get left behind? The older you get, the more gut-wrenching that thought becomes, and it's something this show handles very well without shoving it in your face to evoke an emotional reaction. It just quietly acknowledges the reality of that experience, which makes it all the more poignant.

House MD is my favourite and most relatable bisexual representation show, because it shows that bi people don't want to cheat. We just want someone to love until we die, do drugs and maybe commit some crimes.

QUICK ANAKIN HEADCANNON / HOTTAKE

He can’t read or write in basic.

As Anakin grew up on Tattooine, the most important language was Huttese as the Hutts controlled Tattooine. He could speak, read and write Huttese easily, everything was in Huttese. As bounty hunters, sailors and others came through speaking Basic he started to pick up on it, especially as Watto and his mum could speak Basic. His mum Shmi picked up on his interest and started teaching him. Only one problem, she can’t read or write in basic either, and she can’t send a slave to school.

Fast forward to Anakin becoming Obi-Wan’s Padawan, Obi-wan taught him theory by speaking. As a pawawan himself he hated it. So Anakin had no reason to learn how to write. He would read all his books after they were translated into Huttese.

Again Fast forward to the Clone Wars and the never ending paperwork. Anakin was known as the general who didn’t do paperwork. The council and the senate wanted the paperwork in Basic, and basic only. Any paperwork he did was first done in Huttese and translated digitally. New problem Rex wanted to do his paperwork with Anakin, to see why he didn’t do it by himself. Rex pasted him some of his paperwork and asked Anakin to read it over. Anakin sat there staring at the odd symbols before telling Rex he can’t read. Let’s just say Anakin almost cried.

Ahsoka somehow fount out (it helps to be a sister to the clones) and would constantly ask how come he couldn’t read, and word reach Obi-Wan who immediately felt awful for not teaching him how to read. Eventually Rex and Padmé taught him, however Anakin was embarrassed by not knowing how to read (or write) would by rude to Padmé and Rex. At the end of the clone wars he can write, read and speak in basic.

Bail Organa is literally for Star Wars what Nick Fury is for Marvel and Charlie for Charlie's Angels and I'm so up for it.

Imagine just how popular the members of the Fellowship would be in Gondor and Rohan after the War of the Ring. They’re the heroes who saved the world, and the common folks look up at them in awe.

A few years after the end of the war, Legolas is visiting Minas Tirith when he hears a woman call his name. Gimli becomes a very popular name for little girls in Gondor, and this sends Aragorn and Legolas into hysterical fits of laughter. Gimli is unbearably proud of this fact.

Two decades or so after the war, Faramir almost has a heart attack when one of the new recruits of the guard of Ithilien almost sheepishly introduces himself as Boromir.

It's hilarious to me when people complain about AO3 and its policies, and what they allow on the site - but it's ESPECIALLY funny when people complain like "Why can't the freaks make their own site and just go there?"

HOT TAKE:  Aayla Secura was being prepared to be a future Council member.  In the scenes that aren’t direct Council chambers meetings, she’s frequently there with the other Jedi Masters to strategize, with a consistency that no other Jedi are (Luminara, for example, doesn’t get the same amount of appearances). Almost every scene is one where they could have easily added in another Jedi Council member, they could have added Shaak in for her in almost every scene, they could have added Saesee, they had models for both of those characters.  And it’s not that she’s giving a mission report that’s unique to her, she’s just there, as a presence, consistently, as part of even the most sensitive missions.
