okay you know what makes me so sad??? james potter probably wanted like 20 babies. he was so definitely the dad that was like “I’m gonna have enough kids to make a quidditch team and then some” like he and lily could have had so many kids. and james would love them so so so much. like he cries more than lily every time one is born. and he would be the best dad. 100% fair and equal, no favourites. he would have something special that he did with each of them. and he would soooo be the cuddly father. his little kids would crawl up into his lap in the evening and he’d tell them stories of the great marauders. and harry with siblings??? with how much he loves and envied the weasley’s it would be so great, he’d be the best big brother. and then further down the road when james has like 30 grandkids he’d be the fucking best grandad. he’d give them sweets and tell them the stories he told his kids while his kids rolled their eyes like “dad we’ve heard this a million times” but he wouldn’t even care. james potter deserved better, man. he deserved a family that he got to grow and cherish and be apart of

Louis and Harry sing about so many different sides to their love but I think, what's so lovely is that they speak of a gentle, patient love that's worth it. Reassuring. One where they see each other at their vulnerable, their ugly, their lows and highs and still consider it worth it. Because that just how real love is. Not easy but worth it and it needs commitment and patience and it's a theme that shines in their music.

Don’t think about Louis proposing again when he gave Harry back his ring.

Don’t think about Harry eagerly awaiting when he’d get his ring back, but not knowing when or how.

Don’t think about Harry trying to guess and Louis just laughing and being all coy.

Don’t think about Harry knowing that he finally got his ring back the entire time he was doing press in Venice and how giddy he was that even after over a decade Louis still knows how to surprise him.

Lily and Fleamont would always exchange a good laugh, even before officially becoming family.
