Marauders band AU:

James and Peter forming a band in their really early teens. Denim jackets, converse and matching hair. Sirius black coming along years later looking for an escape from his family all of which are world renowned classical composers. Cigarettes, liquid eyeliner and painted nails. Potter on the guitar, Pettigrew on Vocals/Keyboard, Black on the drums. Remus lupin found them last, an eighteen year old with nothing to loose, Doc martens, Scars and hands born to play the bass. Lily, Marlene and Mary a band who they met at a recording studio. Sirius putting up his hair with drumsticks. Regulus carrying on the black name with Barty, Evan, Pandora and Dorcas, playing violins and pianos and cellos at opera houses. Wolfstar being shipped by fans worldwide. Joint Instagram accounts. Regulus teaching James how to play on a keyboard because he didn’t want to overshadow Remus. Sirius and Regulus being seen arguing in Public, captured by Paparazzi. Leather jackets and designer suits. Remus himself having a tremor in his hands, he needs meds for just so they can stop shaking. Arguments before concerts. Chaotic interviews, music videos. Questions asked about love, Peter smirking, James blushing, Remus kissing Sirius. The whole lot of them LGBTQ+ icons, Remus, Lily and Regulus performed a song together once and everyone went mental. I could go on. The potential is here guys.

Just a reminder, James, Lily and Remus (and Peter) were planning a birthday party for Sirius but it never happened. Ans Sirius will never know because he never knew, because they could never tell him about it. He spend his birthday alone in a cell. No cake, no candles, no presents, no love, but in the cold and dark.

Then it clicks in Lily’s mind: he did it. He was the spy, the traitor, the one who killed Marlene. Suddenly she thinks;

i keep pondering over in my head wether lily potter would have forgiven snape. on one hand i’m like fuck no, i don’t care what anybody says she would have NOT forgiven him. on the other i’m thinking that despite all the bullshit in the end he did switch sides and protect harry (despite being a complete arsehole to him and only really doing it cause of his love? obsession? for lily)

open to hearing anyones thoughts on this

James Potter never lived in a world without Lily. She was born first and died second.

Guys I just came up that the reason why the Dark Lord died. It wasn’t because of Lily’s love but cause of Voldemort. Let me explain,

So we don’t know how to make a horcrux, we can guess that it probably has to do with sacrificing/murdering someone. It makes sense that you have to take a life in order to gain a longer lifespan through preserving the soul. Every time we’ve seen Voldy make a horcrux, it usually is tied to him killing someone to obtain it.

This leads me to my next point. What if Voldemort went to the Potter’s with the intention of creating an 8th horcrux. Not Harry but something else. It makes sense. If you were an egotistical homicidal maniac who heard a prophecy for telling your death. And you’ve decided to go kill that person and their whole family. Why not make another Horcrux using the deaths of said Vanquisher and his family?? It would make sense also for Voldemort to use their deaths to make a horcrux. Cause Tom Riddle is a Egotistical Dramatic bitch and more important that BitchTM even if he only has 10% of a nose. The man purposely tracked down the most Famous magical artifacts (some of which had been lost for centuries) to make into Horcruxes. There’s no way he would pass up a chance like this to be as symbolic and extra as shit and make a Horcrux.

So Voldemort goes to the Potter’s house with the intention of not only killing Harry Potter, the boy supposedly destined to kill him, but also has the plan to use The Potter’s deaths for a horcrux. And this is where Lily comes in.

Lily’s death is what was needed to turn Harry into a horcrux.

Perhaps the ritual just went wrong or something. Since we don’t know how a horcrux is made, we can’t say. Harry isn’t a proper horcrux anyways, but it makes sense that he became a sort of Horcrux. The ritual part of killing someone was done right before the Soul was “infused” into him. And Lily’s death was what was needed for part of Voldemort’s soul to latch onto Harry instead of just disappearing. So instead of Lily’s love killing Voldemort. It was his only ego of trying to make an 8th horcrux that “killed him”.

So while it wasn’t Lily’s love necessarily that destroyed the Dark Lord. Her dying to protect her son was what vanquished the Dark Lord. Her death directly vanquished the Dark Lord the first time. And indirectly (through Harry) vanquished him for good.

Harry suffered his whole childhood in a cupboard under the stair and his fans are like “So cool! I'm gonna have my room in a cupboard under the stair!!”

Harry would strangle most of you.

lily evans being a nickname person is so special to me. not only do we canonically have “tuney”, “sev”, and “wormy”, but she literally married into a friend group with secret code names.

and there’s literally no limit to her nicknaming ability. I mean, we’re already pushing it with “wormy”—a nickname for a nickname. so why stop there. “jamie”, “pads”, and “moons” when she’s feeling affectionate. “monty” and “effie” for her in-laws. “jimmy” when she just wants to fuck with james. “harold” when it’s three in the morning and she’s sleep-deprived and harry won’t go back to sleep. need I go on.

modern au liiy and petunia LOVE barbie with all their heart. when they were kids, they had marathons of every movie at least once a year.

when they became teenagers it happened less frequently, simply because petunia went through phases where she thought she was too "adult" to watch children's films, but even then she surrendered whenever lily started watching alone.

one day lily forced severus to watch with them and half the session was petunia and severus fighting and seriously discussing the plots of the films while lily laughed.

and at the end, each one made a ranking of best film + best barbie + best companion. lily's favorite movie is barbie a fairy secret, severus' one is barbie in a christmas carol and petunia's one is barbie in the 12 dancing princesses.

i love snily as a ship but nothing can beat the power and tragedy of their friendship. come on, the angst of childhood best friends that were the comfort of each other slowly taking different sides, slowly losing the skill to understand one another ??

lily was the only witch in her family, she had no idea what was going on, she realized her parents didn’t have all the answers in the world, her sister was starting to hate her for something she had no control over it. but then she met severus, someone like her, someone that told her about a whole world that she belongs to, a friend with whom she could be herself.

severus came from a abusive home, his own father hated what he was, his mother didnt didnt knew how to properly raise him, he had no friends and no one of his age he could relate to. but then he met lily, a girl the same age as him, a witch like him, someone that was kind and extroverted, someone that brought light to his life.

they loved each other so badly, and yet it wasnt enough to keep them together. they ended up hurting one another (one more than the other), they were in different sides of war, and severus has to live forever with guilty and regret about what happened, his worst memory being the day he really lost her.

yes i think severus had a crush on her when they were kids (and in my hcs, lily had a crush on him at some point too), but a crush fades over time. their tragedy is not about romance, its about losing your best friend, the most important person in your world, the first person you felt comfortable with and could be yourself.

lily evans is kind, extroverted and energetic, she brings life and happiness to people she cares about, but she also has a internalized rage that can get the best of her and make her lose the control over her tongue.

lily is extremelly passionated and intense, she loves with her heart and soul, she likes to consume and be consumed and sometimes this can be bad for her cuz it makes her ignore some red flags cuz she just cant stand the idea of losing someone she loves. and shes so so so possessive and jealous, both platonically and romantically, whats hers is hers.

shes sturborn like no one else, shes protective and loves to take care of people, ambitious, brave, a bit judgmental and the smartest witch of her age. plsss put more respect in my wifes name
