Idk why they are in the woods lol I just kinda started doodling by the time I got to the background. Also I tried to perspective, that is why we have tiny Etho, except he’s just farther away, so not tiny. Honestly, it was a struggle trying to get it looking like Etho dressing up as Kakashi and not just. You know. Kakashi. I think the makeup for the scar smeared on his mask is a nice touch. I also left his glasses from my design on, because I, too, know the pains of trying to cosplay in glasses. Anyway, all this is to say… I love your writing Nya and I can’t wait to read the fic rahhhh!

I dyed a green streak in my hair irl recently, inspired by nobody and nothing in particular for no reason whatsoever and certainly not because of any yelly bean man on the internet. Today someone told me it reminded them of shrek. Small victories.

I’ve been having a really terrible week health wise so to cheer myself up I drew more of Gem and Joel as chaotic sibling energy photos of the Way brothers. Idk if this genre of fanart has an audience but tbh I don’t really care because I had fun drawing it lol. Also for context for non-MCR fans (psh imagine lol/silly /not serious) my chemical romance is a band, a really good band, and the lead singer and the bassist are brothers and also really silly and there are many photos of them sillying together. I know I have not been posting as much, and that’s because I’ve decided that I’m not gonna drive myself insane trying to get a real following for fandom art, which unless you are selling your fanart, which I am not, is a purely recreational engagement. I am also going to give myself the freedom to shitpost somtimes as well, because I seem to have forgotten that this is in fact my blog, that I can post whatever I like on lol. Like, have any of you considered that Joel’s laugh at the end of wild life is the same laugh as jack from last kids on earth??? Like I heard it and was like immediately “is that jack lkoe?” (Idk if other people abbreviate it, that’s a long ass title I’m not typing that out lol) I’ve decided that I literally do not care how many notes I get anymore because willful ambivalence is better than extreme anxiety and burn out lol. So, I’ll still be taking art reqs and stuff, but expect a LOT more sketch pages, OCs, fanart for other fandoms, and long rambling paragraphs. Hopefully. Or I’ll vanish for months at a time. if you are drawing Etho slab fanart, chances are you know that his skin is based of kakashi, and I think we see that reflected. Like, we know that’s meant to be a mask, and that gray on his head band is piece of metal and not more hair, and that’s meant to be sandals, and that’s meant to be vest with pockets. So that’s how we draw it. But what if it wasn’t? I just had this fun idea so I grabbed a reference for his actual Minecraft skin and just. Pretended I had no idea who kakashi was. How would I draw him? How might I interpret his outfit, his hair? Idk, just a silly doodle. Nothing revolutionary. I’d love to see other people try this idea for Etho or any other mycts that you love. To just. Pretend you don’t know what everything is meant to be and see how you might interpret their Minecraft skin.
