I know we usually use the crane wives as like the go-too fandom songs, and no hate there love the crane wives, but I also think it’s fun to consider other bands for fitting the life series. Like, I would love to see everyone taking their absolute favorite band and making a metaphorical conspiracy board with red yarn and a crazed look in their eyes as they stab the thing in the middle that all the string leads to and everything for how it connects to the life series. For instance, I love My Chemical Romance and I think their music fits really well with the life series, so here are six wips that I will hopefully improve upon and color later connecting some specific songs to, well, really just the bad boys and their double life pairings at the moment, just cause it worked out that way that those are the ones I got into posting shape first, but I have tons more in the works and I’m really excited to share^^! Also sorry for the really long rambling post lol

I’m probably most proud of the boat boys one, but over all I’m really proud of these in general and hope to finish this project at some point, although given the scale that I’m going for that might not be for a while lol. Also if you wish for me to elaborate on my choices, I will gladly do so!

Hi guys! Good news, I hucked my broken pencil at a wall in frustration, and it un-broke itself (mostly…), so I spent many hours making a boat boys animatic. Bad new, I don’t know how to sync audio, so I just had to record my iPad and play the song on a separate device. Its really bad quality guys (big sad), but I still think the actual animatic turned out pretty well, even if it’s still in the sketching phase. Anyway, the song is I Was an Island by John-Allison Weiss, go listen to it it’s so hilariously boat boys coded I can’t. Anyway, disclaimer, this is all for sillys and giggles. Also beware the angst.

Why are all the Grian/Bigb fics on AO3 just Scar angst over the cheating :(

It wasn't even really angsty in canon, in fact Scar's canon view of the situation is much more interesting than the fanon angst version imo. He basically thought of it as Grian doing something frivolous and petty to get at him. Scar believed that at the end of the day it wouldn't matter because him and Grian have and always will be linked after Third Life. Which made Bigb inconsequential in Scar's eyes. He couldn't see any posssiblity that Grian may truly like Bigb. In Scar's eyes BigB was just something that was temporarily distracting Grian before he would eventually came back to Scar. Sure he still decided to make Grian feel guilty now and then, had to be petty back, but his mindset wasn't the angsty sad pining the fandom loves.

Basically Double Life Desert Duo was unhealthy but in a much more complex and mutually toxic way than the fandom likes to present in fanon. Also Biggri is just a rarepair I really enjoy and I want to read something that isn't focused on cheating or Scarian. *Sigh* I guess I'll just have to write it for myself at some point.

It’s kinda messy cause I was on a time crunch and trying out some different brushes, and also Cherri is surprisingly hard to find a reference of. Like, Cherri what shoes do you wear. Cause I have never seen them. It for a story I have in my head that is somewhere in the space between an au and headcannons about winner Joel. Also it was really fun imagining what sort of pajamas c!joel would wear. My favorite part is the fuzzy socks, and also yes those are *technically* his swim trunks but whatever he seems like he would wear swim trunks to bed anyway lol. It’s meant to be like him waking back up on Hermitcraft after he won. If anyone is interested in hearing about this au/complicated series of headcannons I will happily ramble!

just for you I have drawn them. All three of them. The write adjective here polycule ever. The undeniably something, unclear what thing but completely undeniable. also I wanted to clarify because I was doing all those drawings of Gem and Joel as photos of the way brothers being chaotic that I don’t headcannon them as siblings I headcannon them as chaotic, which isn’t actually a headcannon because it’s already canon. Also have I been spelling headcannon wrong this whole time? lol.
