The Structure of Pack 1-A

I saw @omega-multiverse​‘s post on formal pack structures here, and it got me thinking about what Class 1-A’s structure would be as a pack, so here we are:

Some parts of this chart are a little confusing so let me explain what’s going on.

Because the pack is so large, it’s been broken down into four sub-packs, with Todoroki, Kirishima, Shoji, and Satou as each sub-pack’s head alphas. This was mainly done to keep order. Thanks to the alphan natural instinct to lead, it would’ve been near impossible for one or two head alphas to keep the other six or five alphas of the pack in line; the pack would’ve collapsed within weeks.

Iida and Yaoyorozu are the head male alpha and head female alpha of the pack. Each sub-pack’s alpha is underneath one of them, while they are on equal standing with one another. They consult each other on pack-wide decisions, and while they have the power to make decisions for anyone in their sub-packs, they normally consult each other on those decisions as well.

For an example of how the structure of power works, take this scenario; Kaminari has received a courting gift from Shinsou, and it has to be decided if Shinsou is a good enough candidate to mate into the pack if the courting is allowed. Because Kaminari is in Kirishima’s sub-pack, it is first Kirishima’s decision. He will consult Kaminari, Sero, Bakugou, Ashido, and Jirou, and then make a decision. If he decides Shinsou isn’t good enough, the courting ends there. If he decides Shinsou is, the decision goes to the head alphas.

If Kaminari was trying to mate with someone in one of Iida’s sub-packs, let’s say Midoriya, the decision would be all Iida’s, as both Kaminari and Midoriya are under him. But because Shinsou is an outsider trying to mate into the pack, the decision must be made by Iida and Yaoyorozu unanimously.

(This is the completely logical progression of this scenerio, but in reality the decision would be mainly left up to Kaminari and Kirishima, Iida, and Yaoyorozu would just agree with his verdict because they’d all think he was the authority on decisions about his own relationships).

As you may have noticed, Jirou is in a special position. Despite being Yaoyorozu’s mate, she’s in Kirishima’s sub-pack. As Yaoyorozu’s alpha mate, Jirou is the third most powerful alpha in the pack, putting her unfairly above the other four alphas. To balance it out, she’s in Kirishima’s sub-pack. This makes it so that while she’s the most powerful alpha under Momo, she’s the third most powerful alpha under Iida. This puts her above Shoji and Satou, but below Todoroki and Kirishima. 2 - 2 = 0, making her relatively on par with every alpha in the pack besides Iida and Yaoyorozu.

Scenting headcanons

Basically, it's a term that people use to rub scent gland on others or nuzzle up against other person's gland.

Because there is a scent gland on the wrist, if people hold hands to greet, there is a possibility of accidental touching it, so greetings usually only nod.

In close relationships, they grab each other's wrists and shake them lightly.

Don't flirt with anyone who is certain that someone has intentionally been scenting.

It's very instinctive to scenting someone people think they're close to, so usually people like physical affection more than b.h..

Alphas have a stronger dominant tendency, the stronger the desire to scenting.

Unconsent scenting is usually classified as sexual harassment.

The act of scenting a close person creates a comfortable feeling for both themselves and the other person.

Top 100 American Baby Names of 2025 Sorted by A/B/O Dynamic

Something I've seen under-discussed is the fact that in an Omegaverse setting, names would probably be sorted not just as male/female but as alpha/beta/omega as well. Names would be more dynamic, as names commonly go from masculine/feminine to neutral in our world, but they would stay generally consistent.

Here's what gender I think each of the top 100 American baby names of 2025 would be, sorted by vibes and vibes alone. The names in bold are names that I 100% think would be used only for that dynamic, and would seem weird on any of the others.

Packs

What are they?

Packs usually consists of 3-7 members. Most people are born into one and leave their pack to either start their own or join one. Leaders varies, but in the past it was alphas and is still commonly alphas. Although there is a rise in beta and omega pack leaders. They are family and eventually live together.

Usually sleep in the same room on a cushioned floor. Some people can mate in the pack but not all members have to mate. Sometimes all members mate with each other, others times it stays completely platonic. Made up of all 3 sexes but the number of people from each sex can vary. Can resembles a queer platonic relationship or an asexual romantic relationship. Having a pack is like having a committed relationship. The relationship you have with your pack is deeper/different than a friendship, since a friendship in and outside the pack are completely different even if the pack is fully platonic.

Your Pack is apart of you, they are people you want to spend the rest of your life with, the people who’s face you want to see when you first wake up in the morning and the last thing you see before you go to bed, you never want to be apart from them, and the pack without any of the members leaves a big gaping hole that cannot be filled. They are the ones you trust the most, confide in with anything, would protect with your life. Your Pack is your everything, in most situations they come first (if it makes it easier to understand think of it like a Polyfidelity relationship where every member is committed to everyone else in the pack and them alone, even if platonic). When a pack is bonded to each other based on how close the pack is and their care for one another, their abilities will be enhanced when the pack fight together. That is why being in a pack makes you stronger.

Pack Names and Clans

When a pack is created, the members create a new last name for the members and all members legally change their last name to pack name. E.g if a person is named Julia Hikaru before joining her pack, if she finds a pack and that pack is named Izanami her name will become Julia Izanami. You can only have one last name which can be either your birth-pack’s name or your new pack’s name.

In certain nations packs are also apart of clans and the pack wears an insignia of their clan on their clothing. One’s middle name is usually the name of the clan and when one enters a pack, it is usually decided beforehand which clan the pack will be apart of. Once it’s decided, the middle names of all the pack members is changed into the clans name or added on their previous clan name. E.g if there’s a person named John and their pack is the Namikaze pack and the pack is apart of the Senju clan, then that person’s name will be John Senju Namikaze.

Most clans that people are apart of go back hundreds of years and have great history. A new clan can be created but it must be registered to the government in order to be legally recognized. There are however pretty well known clans that are not legally recognized. A pack can usually only be legally apart of one clan. It is common that the clan that is the most established and well known that a pack members are apart of are the ones chosen.

Do you think changing rooms and bathrooms are segregated as “alpha” “beta” “omega” or do you think they will be all together? I have seen lots of places just have everything all together. Would omegas feel comfortable changing with stranger Alphas around?

Hey! So everyone’s omegaverse is different, but for me at least places tend to be all together. It would probably be too difficult for store owners and schools to keep things separated by alpha beta and omega. The only time I would think they would be separated would be if one of the dynamics is in danger if near the others.

I would say that omegas and maybe even betas will feel some sort of discomfort or fear of being in such a vulnerable position around the stronger dynamic. One place I think of that is all together but the dynamics may be uncomfortable is a school locker room especially around the time that the teens begin their first heats and ruts.

Packs In Practice--Formal Packs

There’s a lot going on with formal packs, but hey… A finite amount of time.  My last day of pack week will be just getting all the stuff I missed.

As I established in yesterday’s post, (here) Formal Packs are packs with hierarchy, legal recognition, and a bunch of advantages similar to the institution of marriage.  Formal packs can be made up in many ways, from your ‘Traditional’ pack to a polyandry that will go down in history—But today we’ll be talking about traditional packs, Duel leader packs, all Beta packs, and Omega lead packs.  

1. Traditional Packs

The traditional pack got it’s name by being, well…  Traditional.  It’s the pack set up most people would assume if you said ’I’m in a Formal Pack.’  It is the most common, though not by much.

A traditional pack consists of an Alpha leader, four Betas, and a single Omega (always mated to the Alpha)

The traditional roles in a traditional pack are of the absolute ruler in the Alpha, an Omega to make babies, and four worker drone Betas (who are probably making babies.)  The omega is not actually at the bottom of the dominance hierarchy in this dynamic, though they do play a more passive role.  

But packs have this common tendency not to be traditional.  Here’s an example of a real (fictional) pack in action.

As you can see here, the Omega is not passive and the Betas all fill different purposes.  Erica is one of the few exceptions to complete cohabitation, but this is an urban pack—You can’t get space big enough for five adults and that many kids.  Even pooling your resources.  

2. Duel Leader Packs

There are two sorts Duel Leader packs: symmetrical and asymmetrical.  (Note that although packs do not need Alphas as leaders, I have chosen them for simplicity)  

2.1— The Symmetrical Pack

The Symmetrical Duel Leader pack has two Alphas who rule equally, both mated to different Omegas who are also equal, with the same amount of Betas under them.  Two Alpha packs can get quite large, but I have chosen to only include six of them.  Symmetrical packs, due to the stability lended by two equal leaders, have higher chances to become legacy packs (absorbing children) than other kind of packs…  If you can find two more people that naturally fall into the ‘Leading together’ dynamic: Not a common thing.

2.2 Asymmetrical 

An Asymmetrical pack has two leaders at unequal standing.  The ‘lesser’ Alpha usually has less Betas under him and less authority than Head Alpha.  They are still both mated—That’s a common trend.  

Here is the asymmetrical version of Isabelle and Ryan’s pack.  

As you can see here, Ryan has only two Alphas under him while Isabelle has four (though to be honest, does Gabriel even count?)  Married couples are at equal standing.

Alpha headcanons

Alphas usually the tallest one among other dynamics, and they enjoy being big spoons using their height.

Alphas are very aggressive, but they are also less sensitive to personal space. However, they don't allow approach to what they claim to be their own.

Alphas value exterior design more than interior one and are obsessed with the idea of having their own house. It originates from their desire to have a den.

Alphas are very creative. That's why there's a saying 'Betas discover, Alphas invent'.

Young Alphas' desire for exploration is not great, but they often follow their friends to protect them, Betas and Omegas.

Alphas' ideal body type is tall and muscular body.

Alpha women don't experience chest pain when exercising because they have small breasts and their cooper ligaments are more developed than other dynamics, so their breasts are not easily shaken.

Alphas' canine is very smooth. It is more for making marks than for offensive use.

Most of Gym users are Alphas. They like to show off their bodies while exercising and often enjoy taking off their top.

Alphas' sense of smell is good at smelling threat, fear, and pain, so they are good at finding injured people at the disaster site.

In omegaverse instead of having a sweet 16 what if we have a more like, coming of age thing ? It can be celebrated on your birthday if you want sure, but it's more a celebration of maturity and development and growth.

Like congratulations on presenting as a beta, here's all your beta family members here to give you gifts and give you hope for the future. Yeah, they'll tell you all about their shared experiences both bad and good about being a beta too don't worry.

I'm sure there are traditional gifts to give as well. Like maybe you're given some sort of how-to guide that covers all sorts of stuff both useful and silly, maybe you're given stuff that's scented by your entire family, maybe you're given your first set of protective clothing to cover scent glands, idk. I'm sure gifts would be different depending on which gender you're presenting as too.
