Headcanon: Momo’s head injury.

Serthrek requested: “I’d like to see the headcanon you have where Bakugou goes overboard and Izuku beats the shit out of him for hurting Momo.”

*Takes place roughly two weeks before all the cultural festival stuff*

“TEAM DEATHMATCH!!!”

The two words that echoed throughout the training hall were yelled from All Might himself who for only a split second transformed into his buff form.

Most of the 1-A students were completely terrified about this training exercise, I mean Bakugou was a battle born machine while Todoroki was the definition talented. This was already seeming like a loss to those like Hagakure and Ayoma.

“I’ll be splitting you into two teams of ten. This will be entirely combat based, no running away, no side objectives, just pure no restriction combat,” All Might stated only needing to take the occasional glance at his script while he began to explain the rules to his students.

Izuku could already feel Bakugou’s eyes burning holes into the back of his skull like two drills. Momo on the other hand could see Bakugou smirking at Izuku with a clear look of payback written all over his face.

“It would seem that Bakugou-san has his eyes set on you,” Momo said to her secret boyfriend in a whispered tone.

“Who would’ve guessed that…” Izuku joked out in a sigh making Momo giggle a little at the comment.

“Don’t worry, we’ll work together and show the strength in intelligence and strategy,” Momo said with a determined expression on her face.

“Okay! Team 1 will consist of Midoriya, Yaoyorozu, Sero, Ashido, Kaminari, Kirishima, Shoji, Tokoyami, Hagakure and Iida!” All Might declared as he read from the list in his pocket not reading the other team as he knew they at least had common sense.

As soon as the team was announced Bakugou could be heard laughing with a big grin on his face as he pointed straight at Izuku.

“I’m gonna fucking kill you Deku!”

All Might quickly ordered his students to go to their designated starting areas and suggested that they begin to think of some form of battle strategy.

“Okay we have a plan,” Both Izuku and Momo spoke up as they caught the attention of their team.

“We split up into pairs, I recommend you go with someone who can adapt with your combat style easily,” Izuku started as he already had pair concepts in his head already from analysing everyone beforehand.

“Use your strengths to over power there weaknesses. They are strong but they’re all stubborn as a team so expect a long fight, don’t put in everything at once.” Momo added while everyone was slowly pairing up.

When both Momo and Izuku had finished their quick motivational speech they were met with a loud “YEAH!” from their team which at least reassured them on something.

“What about us? What approach are we taking for Bakugou?” Momo asked Izuku as he began stretching his limbs to prepare for the chaos about to strike.

“We’ll use the terrain to our advantage, we have the high ground meaning if you go in for a direct approach I can back you up quickly afterwards.” Izuku explained with Momo nodding in understanding as they readied themselves to dash.

“And… FIGHT!!!” with All Might sounding an ear shaking horn both teams began to close in on each other with Team 2 rushing a little faster because of their main line of attack: consisting of Tsuyu, Todoroki, Sato and of course Bakugou.

Momo followed the agreed upon plan and dashed in front of Izuku to take the lead while said curly haired teen was just behind her with 5% of One for All flowing through his body.

“FROG BITCH, NOW!” Bakugou demanded as he kept rushing towards both Izuku and Momo.

Within a second of Bakugou’s demand Izuku felt something wrap around his arms and torso tightly to stop him from moving his upper body. As he looked down he clearly saw that Tsuyu had managed to quickly wrap her tongue around him with making any noise.

“Izuku-!” Momo tried to shout in concern as she turned around to see Izuku captured but failed to see Bakugou continue towards her.

“OUT OF MY WAY BITCH!!!” Bakugou’s shout of rage was followed by throwing his right arm in a swinging motion to try and push her out the way…

But his aim was way off…

Instead of pushing her away he had used his metal gauntlet as the main force that slammed into her head which sent Momo rolling down to rocky terrien with Bakugou even stopping from what he had just done.

When Momo had reached the bottom of the incline Tsuyu’s tongue instinctively retracted from her gasp as she saw blood trail down the side of her friend’s head and began to hop down towards her.

Bakugou on the other hand had glanced back up to Izuku…

And saw him shaking.

Izuku’s brain was still processing what had happened in front of him.

This was a nightmare, yeah it had to be. What boyfriend doesn’t have the fear of the love of their life possibly dyin-

“All Might-sensei!!!”

She was alive. She’s strong. Any second now she’ll-

“Her breathing is slowing!”

His heartbeat began to increase, his body now shaking even more Izuku almost wanted to throw up from every aspect rejecting what he could see in front of him.

He could calm himself.

He WILL calm himself.

He’ll go down and help his girlfriend and take her to Recovery Girl and it’ll all be fi-

“Bitch should have dodged…”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!”

Everyone looked up towards Izuku with shock as his scream could be heard clear as day by everyone as they themselves…

Were all shook to their cores.

Izuku was certainly a lot of things, but he was rarely ever angry… but this wasn’t anger at all.

This was pure rage… fury that was clearly seeking vengeance.

All Might saw the look in Izuku’s eyes, constricted pupils that had become smaller than pinheads while they remained wide an unblinking as tears flowed from them, and knew that Izuku was gone right now; he been consumed by his emotions.

What worried the number one hero the most though was the pressure coming off of him; it felt similar to his own when he had gotten serious. It was clear that One for All was surging through his body at an ungodly rate but he was struggling to pinpoint how much he was using.

But the walking skeleton knew in the instant the now deadly silent teen moved that he was forcing out 25% of his current full power. Now staring down at his target, Izuku had grabbed Bakugou by the throat in less than instant closing a gap of several feet and then proceeded to throttle him into the ground repeatedly without a single ounce of hesitation.

Both of Izuku’s best friends Uraraka and Iida watched in complete horror as they thought this had to be the work of an outside power. There was no way Izuku was really that terrifying was he?

The answers were unwantedly answered as they heard a clean snap of bone echo throughout the arena followed by Bakugou screaming in agony.

He really was…

“Someone get Recovery Girl before he kills Young Bakugou!” All Might ordered in a panicked tone as Iida flinched before he ran off at full speed for help.

Uraraka on the other hand was still frozen in shock. This wasn’t the smiling, happy deku that she had been falling for. This almost seemed like the actions of a villain, and all because of…

‘No…’

As her eyes shakily looked over at Momo, there was only one reason why Izuku would become this vengeful over Momo getting hurt…

Another loud scream of anger could be heard from Izuku as seconds after a heavy impact, Bakugou was sent flying through the air like a limp ragdoll before Izuku appeared above him and heel kicked him to the ground.

The other students could only watch in fear and horror as apparently the best student in their class was being broken like a pile of twigs. Bones being crushed and snapped just from the force of Izuku’s fingers.

Kirishima couldn’t stand to see his best friend suffer in agony like Bakugou was and ran at Izuku in his Unbreakable form ready to try anything but froze out of fear when Izuku just simply glanced at him.

The fear was so intense that Kirishima collapsed onto his knees staring at his hands trying to control his breathing.

Now looking back at his target Izuku showed no sympathy as he began to grind his teeth trying to think of what bones he hadn’t broke.

Thankfully Iida brust back in with Recovery Girl in his arms who had a worried look on her face.

“Heal her first,” All Might insisted with his students looking confused while he quickly explained.

“She… She’s been Izuku’s boyfriend for the last four months, if anyone can save Izuku from himself it’s her,” All Might explained with the students looking shocked at what they were hearing while Momo was being healed up by Recovery Girl.

That comment of confirmation from All Might was the last stab to Uraraka’s heart needed for her to collapse to her knees in tears. Tsuyu instantly knew why the usually bright and bubbly girl was a crying mess and went over to comfort her while the others sorted out Izuku.

With her slowly waking up from being healed, Momo awoke to see the concerned faces of her peers but they all looked at her with looks of hope; almost as if she was about to save the day.

“Momo-chan, you need to stop Midoriya-kun! He’s gone berserk!” Mina pleaded with a scared look in her eyes.

Momo looked at where she heard all the chaos and screams were coming from and didn’t show any sign of hesitation in her actions.

Once she walked past Kirishima Momo started softly smiling to herself, she knew that he had to won over by a smile or he was gone for good.

But thaf was when her own insecurities started to seep through.

What if she couldn’t get Izuku back?

‘No I will get him back. He’d do the same thing for me,’

Now at the edge of a huge crater created from Izuku’s power, Momo could hear the words that were hidden behind Bakugou’s screams.

“WHY?! She did nothing to you!  She meant everything to me…”

Momo froze at that comment abd could even feel tears threatening to spill from the corners of her eyes as she heard Izuku.

All this carnage and anger was all because Izuku thought she was on death’s door. He really did love her, she truly meant everything to him.

He thinks that he’ll be lost without her.

“Izuku…”

The soft sound of Momo’s voice made Izuku freeze as his eyes slowly returned back to how they normally were. His grip also instinctively lessened letting the now unconscious Bakugou fall to the ground.

“M-Momo… I…” Izuku attempted to speak but his tears were much stronger.

“You’re such an idiot… getting so worked up over me… you’re making me cry…” Momo said with a forced smile while she herself was fighting her own tears.

The two didn’t say anything else to each other as they practically dashed at each other before deeply kissing each other. They didn’t even show a single care as students began to approach the crater along with Recovery Girl to take care of Bakugou.

Most of 1-A avoided saying anything to either of them as Momo held Izuku tightly while he was now softly sobbing about what he had done and mainly the fact that she was back to him…

Roughly two hours passed since the whole incident transpired. All Might made the cover story that the field became unstable during training and that Bakugou got crushed.

Bakugou himself was currently in medically induced coma to keep him in a stable condition; Recovery Girl was certain he’d be out of it in a few days. Momo had gotten her head looked at by Recovery Girl and had to have bandages wrapped around her head; she also never left Izuku’s side the entire time.

And while Izuku remained relatively unscathed physically… he was left mentally scarred from what he had seen and done. His friends and peers now looked with eyes full of fear, flinching if he made a movement that they weren’t expecting; he had become a monster to them.

Except to Momo.

She still gave him beautiful smiles like nothing had happened. Gazed at him like he was still everything to her. Held his hand and kissed him like she was still truly in love with him.

“What did I do to deserve someone like you?” Izuku thought out loud as Momo couldn’t help giggle as she heard him.

“You were you, and that’s the Izuku I fell in love with,” Momo said with complete seriousness as she leaned against him.

The two teens sat there in a comfortable silence before Momo let out a soft sigh while stating “It was fun to keep the relationship a secret for as long as we did,”

“I mean almost four months is a good amount of time to keep it a secret,” Izuku responded thinking back to early July when they started dating.

“But I least I can do this more,” Momo smiled before she pulled herself up and gently kissed his lips to try and ease Izuku’s mind. The kiss was only a few seconds long as Momo pulled back to remind her boyfriend of one last thing with a small smile on her face.

“And don’t forget either, you’re helping me plan for the Cultural Festival… I would like to make it as nice for Eri as possible,”

Is confuse why s/o in the general academic strand of U.A

Yeah she knows that s/o’s quirk isn’t compatible with battles and stuff but still s/o’s quirk is powerful

When she first sees s/o healing someone she freaks out

Their was a crystal forming on their hands who wouldn’t freak

Has already made bandages tbh

Momo actually finds this sense of accomplishment when in a way they have similar quirks I mean things coming out of their bodies

Would always have s/o medicine especially those blood medicine

Sometime s/o would use the power on her just to ease Momo from her insecurities

Would never want s/o to overwork themselve

You have healed Midoriya in several occasions and Momo actually talked to him asking if he could lessen his quirks blow so you won’t have to heal him lmao

ASHIDO MINA

Mina was actually amaze of how useful s/o quirk was

She actually didn’t know about this and only found out about it when she injured herself

Would ask about s/o quirk

Once s/o states that they can also use the crystals to change someone’s mood she asked if they could use it on Bakugou

But backtracks when s/o tells them that in order to form crystals they need to use some of their blood

Told everyone in 1-A to never get injuried

Everytime she has a free period Mina rans to her s/o room to make sure she was okay and wasn’t feeling lightheaded

Also has some of their medicines in her bag

Actually wants to know if s/o can use this crystals to defend herself in battle

But of course it’s just a question on her mind since she’s more concerned over her s/o’s wellbeing.
