This Fic Made Me Really Happy

Jon becoming progressively more and more obsessed with Damian in the same way that proximity makes you more likely to start liking someone.

Like if you see someone frequently or your physically close to them a lot you're more likely to have romantic attraction to them. I think because Jon would always either be with Damian or listening to his heartbeat it would work the same, except with normal people there's obviously no way to CONSTANTLY be aware of someone, for Jon he can just listen to Damian's heartbeat 24/7 or even easily watch him from a distance whenever he feels like it. If people are more likely to catch feelings from just proximity being aware of someone at all times like that would probably lead to some sort of obsession, like I love the head canon that Jon needs to listen to Damian's heartbeat to fall asleep.

So, I'm imagining a one-shot were Tim walks in on Bruce telling Damian that he'd do anything to make sure he could trust him and just absolutely LOSES it

Because when Tim was Robin, Bruce went out of his way to MAKE SURE Tim didn't trust him, and now he's going out of his way to make sure Damian does? What the FUCK! What happened to "I'll never trust you again" "Good" !??? What happened to making sure everyone has the same amount of trust issues as you???

Bonus points if Alfred catches some strays because it isn't often that he deserves that and this is one of those rare moments where he definitely DOES.

If Alfred ever DESERVES to catch strays, it's gotta be for Jason's Memorial Plaque (a good soldier??? Fuck you, Alfred!) And Tim's 16th birthday. And I *love* 16th birthday related angst.

I want to see Tim lose his cool in a way none of them have ever seen, I want him to scream and cry and throw stuff and then run away, I need it to be BAD

So I got a few anonymous asks requesting some more baby Damian and Talia together and just Talia in general.

I decided to have them matching outfits because I think that’s so cute idk. Most of these outfits are actual comic outfits that I love. She’s so stylish I swear.

Damian Wayne gets caught by the press while sneaking away and hanging out in civilian clothing with Red Hood and Bruce finding out they know each other isn’t even his biggest problem. his biggest problem is that the interviewer asked what his connection is to the crime lord and why they have on camera the guy calling Damian ‘habibi’, and, panicking about whether or not Bruce seeing this interview could leak Jason’s identity, to throw him off the trail Damian said that Red Hood is his parent.

Interviewer: wait. but… i thought that Bruce Wayne was your biological father?

Damian, panicking even more because both Jason and Bruce would kill him if people thought that Brucie Wayne was the Red Hood’s identity: what, don’t you support trans people? Hood was my mother.

Jason only finds out what Damian did when after a week of confusedly nodding at the trans pride pins people kept wearing and pointing out to him on the street, and Damian refusing to look him in the eye, Nightwing shows up during patrol crying laughing about how Bruce Wayne got asked during a gala about his secret affair with a crime lord and held his champagne glass so tightly it exploded in his hands.

Bruce, on the other hand, got sent the interview clip by Tim halfway through breakfast, whereupon hearing the audio start Damian climbed out the nearest window to get away. after a slightly paranoid text to Talia about whether or not she was in Gotham wearing a face covering helmet every night, be proceeds to freak the fuck out. he has no idea who the Red Hood is, or how Damian knows him. He also has no clue that Red Hood knows HIS identity, and fully plans on showing up to Wayne events in the helmet to antagonise Bruce by stealing food and demanding they talk about the ‘custody arrangements’ of their son. all he knows is that Damian broke a window in his haste to Not Explain Anything, and that Dick and Tim are wheezing hysterically on the other side of the house.

very big fan of the idea that damian doesn't know how to express his affection directly to other people or else he will Implode™︎ so he just. drops paper stars into their utility belts.

tim hasn't actively tried to kill him the past week? three yellow stars in his back pocket.

grayson ruffled his hair once and he stomped out in a huff. the next time he tries to rummage around his bag, he finds like 10 paper stars just. inside. no bag for protection, just kind of all littered and slightly smushed because god knows how long they've been sitting there.

jon gets a whole mason jar's worth of them over the years, neatly placed on his nightstand so that he can look at them before he goes to bed.

in damian's mind, it's a nod to that one saying that goes "i'd give you the stars"; he just hopes they're smart enough to understand what it means.

Just got done watching Battle of the Super Sons for the uhhhhh 5th time this week and why did it just now hit me that the opening scene where Jor-El and Lara sacrifice their lives to save Clark when Krypton is exploding is supposed to be a direct parallel to Jon and Damian choosing to sacrifice themselves as the Watchtower burns up in orbit in order to save their own family members and by extension the entire planet. That’s so fucking poetic, I can’t believe Damian and Jon invented being soulmates.
