Have you all noticed that Ellie’s hands only shake when she’s about to open doors which signifies the PTSD she recieved when she opened the basement door... because it hurts me every time I think of it...

“You know what Max Caulfield? You’re the frickin’ best. That’s all.” Saying my last goodbyes to a world I’ve been happy to have experienced for the last 3 years. One last wowsers. One last hella. One last farewell. Gonna miss these two.

This final commissioned artwork by the talented Afterlaughs completes our series built around the theme of the one person who changed your life in such a meaningful way that their very presence defines that specific time of your life. The one person you confide in; the one person who sees you at your worst and at your best.
Some of you may be surprised to see this artwork depicting Max and Chloe, but we feel it resonates very deeply with the core theme in our series. “The One” is not a single permanent person or soul-mate, whose relationship to us demands the exclusion of all others. Before tragedy struck Chloe’s life in such a devastating way, Max was that one special person to her. Their friendship made young Chloe who she was. When Max was forced to move away and contact broke down, Chloe’s life lacked that one special person until the moment she met Rachel. In the time period you play through in Life is Strange: Before the Storm and the ensuing years, Rachel became that one person to Chloe whose presence defined that period of her life.
It is a glimpse into the special relationships that defined Chloe that we wanted to share with this series of commissioned artworks. We hope that having been along on this journey with us, you too will reflect on the various people and relationships in your own life who defined whole periods of it. Many of these people may no longer be in our lives today, but that does not diminish their impact on us in any way.
It should not and has never been about making comparisons between any of these people - We should instead rejoice in the fact that we were lucky enough to have them in our lives, even for a moment in time. They are who made us who we are today.
A special thank you to Afterlaughs (@ohnoafterlaughs), for her hard work and incredible talent in helping bringing this series to life. You can also follow Afterlaughs on: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
