Jason: People who sleep with their phone on silent or DND really don't give a damn about anybody.
Damian: If you decide to have a problem after midnight, that's between you and God.
Tim, very tired: …How do you set your phone to Dungeons and Dragons?

Harvey is mid bank heist when he hears “Harv? Is that you? It’s been so long!” From one of his hostages. Oh that voice was so incredibly familiar there’s no way-
Well he’ll be damned. Jack and Maddie Fenton, the couple he had a momentary fling with in college were pushing through the crowds and fully ignoring his goons pointing half a dozen guns at them as they made their way towards him.
———
Harvey couldn’t believe it. Jack and Maddie were still deeply in love and as crazy as ever, but they kept reaching out to him. They didn’t seem to mind him as the broken man that he is unlike another college friend. They treated him like a person. They didn’t expect his therapy and treatment to magically change him back to how he was, they just were happy that he was happy.
They mentioned once before that they messed up with how they treated their son but they realized their mistake and did their absolute damndest to make it up to their kids. They weren’t going to villainize their college ex. They were going to support him and be for him every step of the way.
The biggest fuck you the bat kids can throw at Bruce is to appoint someone else as their father figure when they get mad at him.
Bruce doesn’t really care if they go to anyone else for help. It stings sure, but he trusts them. What he can’t handle is them going to someone for simple things like ice cream. Or movie night. Or quality time. That’s HIS job. You can partner with them, you better not try to parent them.
Once when kid Dick was pissed at Bruce for not allowing him to be violent towards a villain, he’d grabbed Superman’s hand and declared he wanted Uncle Clark to tend to his injuries and tuck him in bed.
The amount of jealousy and anger radiating off the Bat was so enormous Superman almost thought the man was about to stab him with a Kryptonite sword and couldn’t stop fearing for his life.
Then came Jason, and after getting mad at Bruce for not letting him buy five libraries, he finds Alfred and spends the day as his son, calling himself Jason Penyworth. When Tim came along, he was once fed up with Bruce’s antics and dragged Dick - who had just entered after a gruelling week - out of the mansion, declaring he wanted a different parental figure and insisted they get takeout and have an arcade night. Hell even when Stephanie stormed off and decided to crash at Barbara’s instead of the mansion, Oracle could’ve sworn that Bruce was pouting under his mask, silently sulking at his rejection.
And Damian, well Damian had heard stories of all of this happening, and although he wasn’t a child and refused to throw petty tantrums like the rest of the siblings, one day Bruce’s advice wears on his last nerve and he marches upto the figure reading a book on the other end of the room before demanding they go out to an art studio that day.
He grabs hold of the hand, hears him stuttering behind him but doesn’t pay any heed. Grayson wouldn’t mind after all. He was sure of it. They go outside, and Damian whirls around, about to declare that he wanted to go to the art gallery and spend the night somewhere other than the mansion when his eyes meet a pair of confused blue ones and the words die down in his throat.
He could feel the heat building on his face as he and Tim stared at each other for a few seconds.
It wasn’t his fault Drake and Grayson looked so damn similar! And Drake was sitting on Richard’s spot! Why was the failure doing that?? He knew it, he was trying to throw Damian off his hand and he’d succeeded! He was going to turn around, and hand Damian off to Bruce. Served him right for being so mindless.
Damian knows he should say something, but his mind was blank. He stuttered, furiously trying to think of an explanation before the other man chuckles and lets Kon know he won’t be available for the rest of the day.
What if Danny is known as the mourning king because his ghost form wont stop crying and his ghost wail makes it seem like a messing crying, like mourning his own death just like the constant crying seems to mouen, not only his death, but his subjects' death too
oh this fUCKS
When he gets really fucking mad the tears crystalize into icy trails down his face.
Anyone with the powers of a ghostly wail has the ability to perfectly mimic the voices of anyone they hear. This can lead to many interesting situations. - Danny choosing at random someone else’s voice to imitate while hiding from the GIW. Said random person is a Bat or a JL member (I really like the idea of him imitating Hal Jordan or Clark Kent) and they overhear this dude who stole their voice talk to someone like it’s just your average day. - Dan saving someone out of old habits (damn instinctual reflexes from his ‘hero phase’) and chooses the voice of Superman or Batman to help console the person he saved. If they associate him with a hero they’re less likely to freak out after all. Luckily for him it’s pitch black and the person can only see his rough build and not his face. This leads to said hero getting word of someone pretending to be them. Not good for Dan. - in an attempt to remain anonymous during a JL emergency hotline call, Danny mimics whoever is on the other end of the line. Needless to say, this freaks the hero out big time. And there’s so many more wonderful things that could stem from this ability! What other funky shenanigans do you think Danny/Dan/Dani/etc could get into with this?
Their son got caught up in a plot via a Supervillain, and he and a bunch of other teen heroes are trapped in a room slowly filling with water. The Supervillain is broadcasting the footage to the world, and just letting it play. Forcing heroes to watch their mentees die.
The teen heroes can't get out.
Until their own son, Danny, takes a deep breath and orders them all behind him. That he can do something. But they'll have to handle the rest.
Then, Danny screams.
The wall is blown clean off.
The teen heroes swoop in to drag him along, and they leave the room.
What the teens don't know, however, is that the cameras throughout the entire facility are recording and broadcasting as they come into view. Apparently, the Supervillain had accounted for this and wanted to broadcast them dying from other traps.
But the professional teen heroes are doing a great job clearing everything out.
Danny is...looking unwell.
Jack and Maddie are concerned. They didn't know he was a Meta, so he definitely didn't practice that power; had he pushed himself too hard?
Then the teen heroes notice and start asking.
Danny answers.
He's terrified of his parents finding out he's a Meta. He has a contingency to run away if they do. He says his parents are only focused on their inventions and hunting a certain group of interdimensional beings. That because of his abilities and Ecto-contamination, their weapons keep hurting him and they refuse to get rid of them, so he clearly knows what they value more.
That they might think he's possessed and harm him to "fix" him.
That he has nightmares about waking up on the operating table in their basement, cut open with his organs missing.
That whenever he sees his mother holding a knife or his father holding a gun, he has to fight the urge to run for safety.
And Jack and Maddie, being stared down by Black Canary and Green Arrow (who had been sent to comfort but are now bracing to protect their own son from them), feel like someone has carved out their own organs.
They have to be better.
TLDR: Danny almost gets got by a Supervillain plot meant for others teen heroes he was around as a civilian, he knows he's being recorded in the beginning and uses the Ghostly Wail to break the walls to escape, and kinda sorta trauma dumps on the teen heroes not knowing he's forcing his parents to watch and listen to him list all their failures in 4k.
