I love it when people use "shrimp" to mean "beyond the human range". like "shrimp colors" but applied to other things. "shrimp emotions" "shrimp sounds" "shrimp morality", as if shrimp are living some kind of transcendent existence that humans can never comprehend

I was sad, but a drag queen lent me her violin for a while, and I started playing it. I got quite good at it despite the fact that I didn’t really know exactly what I was doing, until I played it a little too hard and it broke. I cried, until she later came up to me and comforted me, saying something like, “All that matters is that you played,” and then I woke up.

young me especially would have hated hearing this but networking is literally the most important thing you can do to improve your situation like forget economic barriers to education etc just keep making friends with different people and eventually someone will offer you a hand up just because they dig your vibe and that is exactly all that's happening when undeserving people surpass you anyway
Hey yall I mentioned earlier that my dog needs dental surgery and I'm having trouble affording it so I set up a gofundme for help. Sharing is greatly appreciated. I am not good at this, so if you need more information please ask and I will answer as best I can
I've talked to the vet a few times over the years about how I'm concerned for his dental health, and they said just keep doing what I was doing. But last month we found two of his teeth on the ground and it turns out he has severe periodontal disease that I probably never would have gotten ahead of. They said he needs a deep clean and at least half his teeth extracted, but that he should feel better and have a normal and improved quality of life after.
