Cars are like gay sex. Some people love em, others not so much.

why are people SO annoying about cars like people wanting to be able to live their adult lives without feeling ashamed that they can't drive does not mean that you yourself can't enjoy driving nor does it mean that cars should be abolished. public transport will not be accessible to everyone even in an ideal future and there will always be situations in which individualized transport is necessary. cars will always be here.

driving is a useful skill but it doesn't change the fact that many people in urban centers should be able to easily live their lives without it if they want to. and it certainly doesn't mean that they should be met with shock or disappointment when they can't do this one regulated activity that requires money and a time commitment (including others' time) to learn because for some reason it's become a societal expectation (at least in North America) that everyone of age knows how to drive
