My name is Yara Qeshta. I am a Palestinian living in Gaza with my family of 9people in a tent facing the worst war in human history. During the current Gaza war, my house was completely destroyed resulting in the loss of my business and all our belongings. Me and my family have since been displaced in the streets with no shelter, lack of access to food, drinking water, and healthcare necessities. Despite we were camping in areas which were announced as safe, we faced an imminent danger of death by Israeli airstrikes in our camping neighborhoods several times which resulted in serious physical and psychological impacts on us as well as my little grandsons. I am writing this fundraiser hoping to get help with your generous donations to evacuate Gaza immediately to a safer country.

Before the war, we lived a normal life in Gaza, where we had our own business and worked hard with my sons and brothers to survive under the siege of Gaza. This was my graduation year from university, as the eldest daughter in the family. My sister Shahd was in her third year of university, and Roaa was in her first year of university, majoring in artificial intelligence engineering, the major she had been interested in since she was young. As for my brother Salah, it was his final year, which was high school, and he was excited to complete it and join the Faculty of Medicine, his dream that he had dreamed of for years. As for my sister Mena, she was in the ninth grade, my sister jood was in the seventh grade, and my brother Ahmed was in the third.

we are Ahed and Samah from Gaza, specifically the city of Rafah. I am Ahed, 22 years old, I study dentistry at Al-Azhar University in Gaza in the fourth year. Samah is 18 years old. She is supposed to be in high school this year. Her family consists of a father, a mother, 3 brothers, and one sister, the father. His name is Naji, the mother’s name is Kawthar, and the brothers are Jamal, Hamdan, and Hamada.

‏We created this campaign so that Ahed could complete her education outside Gaza and to help the Samah family, in light of this tragic war, live a decent life and get out of Gaza and move them to a safe place away from war and genocide. Samah’s father is diabetic, and you know that in Gaza, medicines are not available at all, and his health condition is deteriorating, and her mother suffers from chest infections, and her treatment is also not available, and you know that in Gaza, the health situation is very deteriorating due to the bombing of hospitals, their destruction, and them being out of service as well, not to mention the pollution and the spread of diseases and insects in the places. In which they sit. They were displaced to tents in the Mawasi Khan Yunis area after the occupation forces invaded their area, bombed their house, and completely destroyed it, and they no longer had a place to go."

"Living in tents is very difficult, especially in the summer. It is as if you are living in a furnace or in hell. In fact, there is no electricity, no water, no food, no drinking. The situation is very tragic. Everything is suffering here in the tents or in Gaza in general because of the difficulty of everything. In order to get water, you want to stand in line for hours until you get a small amount of it. There are really no minimum necessities for life in Gaza, so my family and I want to go out so that we can live a decent life without water. Suffering or fear of bombing and death to which we are exposed at any moment.

I will tell you about cooking on firewood due to the lack of gas. It is very difficult and painful, especially since my mother has chest infections and we are in the summer and the temperature is very high."
