In one corner of Gaza,
drowning in destruction and echoing with suffering, sat Umm Saleh, a woman in her fifties, beside her modest tent hastily erected after losing her home in the latest bombardment. Her face told stories of patience and resilience, with lines of time etched on it as if they were records of unforgettable events.
Umm Saleh, who once lived in a small house filled with the voices of her children, now bore witness to the agony of displacement. She was forced to flee with her children after a shell hit their home, leaving behind years of memories and simple belongings she never imagined would become unattainable.🌿🍉
Every morning, Umm Saleh leaves her tent in search of sustenance to feed her children. She goes to bakeries providing aid, waiting for hours under Gaza’s scorching sun. Despite the exhaustion that weighs down her frail body, she carries the bread, dampened with her tears, and returns with a fake smile that conceals the worries of a mother striving to protect the remnants of her family.🇵🇸🌿
At night, when everyone else is asleep, Umm Saleh remains seated at the entrance of the tent, gazing at the dark sky. She reminisces about the days gone by, about her home that was once filled with warmth, and about her elderly, ailing husband of 70 years. Despite the pain, she finds remnants of hope in her heart—a hope for a day when peace will return and her children and grandchildren will live in a new home brimming with joy.
In moments of solitude, Umm Saleh finds solace in prayer and supplication. She implores God to protect Gaza and its people and to wipe away the dust of sorrow from everyone’s hearts. She often repeats, "We are here to remind the world that we are stronger than war, and we will rebuild our lives anew, no matter the cost."
Umm Saleh is not just a displaced woman but a symbol of patience and strength in the face of harsh circumstances. Her story, like the stories of thousands of mothers in Gaza, embodies the continuous struggle for life in a land torn apart by war, yet still blossoming with hope.

Hi! Sorry but- USA is falling apart. What was an american dream became an absolute nightmare. There is nothing else that we ask for only peace and freedom but that is not what we are getting right now. There are racists, homophobes, sexists, and currently there are unnecessary attacks going on in the middle east especially Palestine. America points guns while Palestinians only have their prayers, i must inform everyone because i went to a protest yesterday with a very, very dear friend to support her cause and her country. Everyday there are innocent men, women, and children that get attacked by bombing, machinery, and bullet ablaze. There are billions of money that are going to the Israel military occupation, whom are also attacking Palestine and it's not just them. "We don't want two countries, they want 48." Don't let this continue. Help us stop this. Help us shout to the world, and free them of their chains. No more terror. This has to stop, and this has to end. Just because there is ONE bad apple doesn't mean that the rest is rotten. They want to be heard. I want to be heard. So please help us, inform others around you. Don't help those corrupted with power to keep on traumatizing, stop the pain and suffering, help STOP the tears that flow from their eyes and onto the thousands upon thousands of bodies that are left to be covered. My small family, consisting of two children, was living a simple life, full of safety and peace. My beautiful daughter Tulin, 8 years old, my son Zaki, 7 years old, and my husband Adnan. We used to wake up early to prepare breakfast and get our children ready for school, so they could continue their education like other children. We lived a normal life, and although it was simple, it was filled with love and warmth. But everything changed in a single moment, on October 7th, when fires erupted everywhere, and the sound of shelling and explosions filled the air. The children were terrified and refused to go to school from that day on, and our lives became consumed by fear and terror.
One dark night, while we were still hoping that the situation would calm down, there was a violent knock on the door. A voice warned us: "Leave immediately, you have to flee, the area will be bombed." We had no choice but to run. We left the house with only the clothes on our backs, taking nothing with us. We ran through the dark night, filled with fear and anxiety about what awaited us.
After a long day of exhaustion and suffering, we arrived in Khan Younis, searching for a place to protect us. It wasn’t easy to find one, but after a long search, we found a school in Bani Suheila. We stayed there for 50 days, living in constant fear. Bombings were happening everywhere, and the situation kept worsening. We had no clothes or blankets to shield our children from the biting cold of the night. We tried to hide them under blankets donated by kind-hearted people, trying to find some warmth for them.
But even this shelter wasn’t safe. Shortly after, we received a threat from the occupation that the school and the entire area would be bombed. We had to flee again, so we decided to move towards Rafah, to Tel al-Sultan. We didn’t know where to go or where we could find safety. The cold was unbearable, and we had no money or resources to build a tent. We tried any way we could to find shelter. We built a tent from pieces of wood and fabric, but the cold was so severe, and my children were freezing, getting sick again and again.
We stayed there for several months, trying to endure, until the decision came to invade Rafah. That’s when everything collapsed. We had no more hope, and we didn’t know where to go or where we could find refuge. We decided to flee once again, this time to Muwassi Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah. But danger surrounded us from every direction, and there was no safe place. We built a new tent, but it was nothing more than pieces of wood and fabric. It didn’t protect us from the cold, nor did it stop my children’s tears that fell every night from the freezing cold and fear.
My husband suffers from high blood pressure, and I suffer from severe migraines that make it impossible for me to endure the harsh cold. We are now living on the seashore, in a tent that doesn’t provide us with adequate protection. My children cry from pain and cold, and I can do nothing but watch them, helpless, unable to offer them anything.
Please, to anyone reading this story, we are an exhausted family. We have been displaced four times and have not found a safe place. Our children are suffering, and our lives are in constant danger. We plead to anyone who can help us to save us. Any donation or help could be a lifeline for us in these harsh conditions. Save my family from this war, and give us a new chance at life.

Since the war on Gaza began on 10/7/2023, my family - my father Muhammad, my mother Hiba and my siblings Nour, Maram, Mahmoud - have been living in constant fear, crying and suffering because of shrapnel, shells and bullets. We have no food🥘🌯, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools🏢📚, no homes🏚, no cleaning supplies, no clothes🧣🧥🧤. Our house was completely destroyed. My school was bombed, and my sister Nour's university was turned into rubble, which deprived us all of education. The war forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents that are not suitable for living, especially in winter. Every day we live death, terror and panic a thousand times because of the continuous bombing of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble. Imagine: We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times, and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. If we stay in Gaza, we may lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza to a safe place. However, the travel costs are very high. We need more than 70 thousand dollars to leave Gaza. Due to the exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, insecurity, the ongoing blockade, and the continuous bombing, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity💔🙏, with the constant bombing and shrapnel flying above us? At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble. Imagine: We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times, and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. If we stay in Gaza, we may lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza to a safe place. However, the travel costs are very high. We need more than 70 thousand dollars to leave Gaza. Due to the exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, insecurity, the ongoing blockade, and the continuous bombing, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity💔🙏, with the constant bombing and shrapnel flying above us?
